Motorola is back with a bang, the newly launched Motorola Edge 30 Pro is the best smartphone money can buy for under Rs 50,000 in India.
The cameras are also great, it takes good images, and also, the OIS helps a lot in videos and even in photos too.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a powerful processor, no issue with performance too while it runs on Android 12 and it will get OS updates for up to two years.
The battery lasts for the day while the 68W charger will take only 35 minutes to charge from 0% to 100% and the phone also has 15W wireless charging support.
Can’t say much about the display as this is bar the best you can get under 50k, by the way, it has a 144Hz 10-bit OLED display.
It also has 5G support and Motorola has added 13 5G bands which include n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38 n40, n41, n66, n77, and n78.
In short, if you’re looking powerful smartphone with a good camera and if your budget is Rs 49,999 then do consider the Motorola Edge 30 Pro, you will be more than happy with the smartphone.
RealMe GT 2 Pro 5G
PROS | LTPO 2.0 Display 120Hz smooth panel Powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC Impressive Cameras Superfast 65W fast charging 10bit HDR10+ Display 1400 nits pick the brightness 13 5G Bands Stereo Speakers 3 Years of OS Updates |
CONS | USB Type-C 2.0 No telephoto lens No wireless charging Night photography can be improved No 3.5mm audio jack No SD-card slot |
If you want the overall best smartphone and if your budget is Rs 50000 then as of now, there is no better option than RealMe GT 2 Pro 5G, it checks all the boxes, and it’s also available at a good price too.
Now, if you want a stock Android experience then still, Motorola Edge 30 Pro 5G is the best choice.
The RealMe GT 2 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and it runs on RealMe UI 3.0 based on Android 12 while RealMe has promised three OS updates and four years of security updates.
Considering the price and cameras. RealMe GT 2 Pro has good cameras and one should not complain about it, RealMe has done a great job and I think you will be more than happy with the quality.
If you’re okay with the RealMe brand then yes, RealMe GT 2 Pro is a worth and value money device but if you can’t pay 50k for the RealMe brand or you don’t trust the brand then you can also consider the Galaxy S21 FE 5G.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G
PROS | 120Hz 2X AMOLED Display 1200 Nits of Pick Brightness Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Good Camera Setup Wireless Charging Support Great Cameras Stereo Speakers LPDDR 5 RAM Support |
CONS | Not the best option for gaming No Charger in the Box No 3.5mm Audio Jack |
The Exynos 2100 is not a powerful processor but for day-to-day usage and a little bit of gaming, it’s not a bad chip too.
In short, don’t buy Galaxy S21 FE 5G for gaming at all, it’s a good option for day-to-day usage.
It comes with a 6.40-inches Super AMOLED display with a pick brightness of 1200 nits and its HDR10+ capable panel.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G has the best camera setup and it does justify the 50k price tag but still, I feel, it’s not a huge jump from Galaxy S20 FE 5G camera, looks like Samsung has done a little bit of work in the camera department.
Overall, for the price of Rs 50000, if you’re looking for the best Samsung smartphone just go with Galaxy S21 FE 5G.
iQOO 9T 5G
PROS | Best For Gaming 10-bit HRD10+ 120Hz AMOLED 120W superfast charging support Long Battery Life Powerful SD 8 Plus Gen 1 Processor Dual Speakers 3 Years of OS Updates 9 5G Bands |
CONS | No 3.5mm Audio Jack No Wireless Charging Support Decent Cameras Pre-Installed Bloatware No Wireless Charging |
The cheapest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 smartphone available in India. It’s a huge upgrade from Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 because Qualcomm has fixed the heating issue.
iQOO 9T 5G is a solid smartphone for gaming, the phone also has good cameras but it doesn’t justify the 50k price tag.
In short, if your end goal is to play games then you should consider this device because the newly launched ROG Phone 6 Pro is available at Rs 80000 which is not a good price to pay.
OnePlus 9RT 5G

CONS | Integration with ColorOS Average Cameras Bit Pricey No Wireless Charging No IP Rating for Waterproofing |
If you’re a fan of the OnePlus then, you won’t get a better option than the OnePlus 9R 5G. It has almost everything that a 40k smartphone should have.
Also, as I have said in OnePlus 9RT 5G Review, the phone doesn’t have a good camera, it needs improvement but other than that, it’s a good option to consider at Rs 42,999 price tag.
The OnePlus 9RT 5G comes with a 6.62-inches 120Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
It’s powered by the well-known flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and runs on Oxygen OS 11-based on Android 12, the phone will get Android 12 soon.
The OnePlus 9RT 5G has 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro lens while on the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter. The Rear cameras can shoot videos up to [email protected] while the front can shoot at only [email protected]
The device has a 4,500 mAh battery with 65W wired charging support, there is no support for wireless charging.
The cameras are the weak part of the OnePlus 9RT 5G.
RealMe 9 Pro Plus 5G
Let me just say this, RealMe 9 Pro Plus 5G has the best cameras under Rs 30,000 in India. It also has OIS support which is rare in the mid-budget price range.
The RealMe 9 Pro Plus 5G comes with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor (OIS) + 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens while there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.
To know more about cameras, you can read my RealMe Note 9 Pro Plus 5G review.
It also has MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor which works fine and it can handle almost all mobile games, so issue with performance too.
There is also a 6.40-inches 90Hz AMOLED display, 4500mAh battery with 60W charging support, stereo speakers, solid build, and 13 5G bands.
In short, if you don’t want to spend more than 25k and still, if you want premium cameras then don’t look for anything else, go with RealMe 9 Pro Plus but if you want to spend more than 25k then do consider the Motorola Edge 30 Pro or even RealMe GT 2 Pro 5G.
Conclusion
We have the two best smartphone options under Rs 50000 in India,
