Xiaomi Pad 6 Review
The biggest problem with Android tablets is the software and looks like Xiaomi has cracked the code here, the Xiaomi Pad 6 has MIUI for Pad takes full advantage of the processor while the Aluminum build will give you a premium feel at a Rs 26,999 price tag.
So yes, there is no doubt, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is worth buying because it has good software, a powerful processor, long-lasting battery life, a premium build, a smooth 144Hz display, and 4 speakers.
So if you’re looking for an Android tablet under Rs 30,000 then go with Xiaomi Pad 6 but if you’re using iPhone then it makes sense to consider the iPad 9th Gen which is available at Rs 28,999.
Display
The Xiaomi Pad 6 has an 11-inches 144Hz LCD Display with a resolution of 1800 x 2880 pixels and a peak brightness of 550 nits.
I get it, the pad has an LCD display but it’s not cheap from any angle.
You will get the best experience while watching movies or TV Shows on Netflix, Prime Video, or even on Disney Plus. There is also support for Widevine L1, so you will be able to stream FHD+ content on the OTT Platform.

You also have to know that, we don’t have any other tablet that offers an AMOLED panel under 30k, even the iPad 9th gen comes with an LCD display.
What I’m saying is, an LCD display shouldn’t be a deal breaker for you. However, If you want an AMOLED panel then you have to go with Samsung’s tablet.
Build
The good news is, Xiaomi didn’t compromise on build quality this time. The pad has Aluminum Frame, Aluminum back, and Gorilla Glass 3 on the front.
The bezels are not that big but they’re sufficient enough to use the pad in day-to-day usage.
The front camera is horizontally placed which makes sense as if you ever want to take video calls then you will place the tablet horizontally.
On the top side, it has two speakers, the same goes for the bottom as well with a Type-C port for charging while on the left side, there are magnets to charge the smart pan. On the bottom left, there are pins for the smart keyboard.
The moral of the story is, the Xiaomi Pad 6 has the best build under Rs 30,000 and the same goes for display as well.
Performance
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G is a powerful processor but the problem is, it’s a very old processor and it might not get OS updates in the future.
Also, Xiaomi didn’t promise any future OS updates but they did promise 3 years of security updates.
I can’t really say whether Xiaomi Pad 6 will get any future updates or not, only Xiaomi can update on it. So let’s wait and see what happens and yes, I will update, if any updates come from Xiaomi.
The good news is, MIUI for Pad is well-optimized and it has a few features that will come in handy. By the way, the pad runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
For example, the charging port is Type-C 3.2 which means, you can connect the Xiaomi Pad 6 to any TV with the help of a Type-C to HDMI cable.
It also has features like smartphone mirroring but at this movement, it only works with Xiaomi 13 Pro. I’m hoping that this will be available on other phones too, although I’m not sure about non-Xiaomi devices.

For those who are asking, no the Xiaomi Pad 6 doesn’t have any ads in the UI while for the first time, I didn’t see bloatware in Xiaomi phones except for Netflix and Facebook.
Also, if you want to buy this pad for gaming then go for it as the Snapdragon 870 SoC will handle all mobile games except for the Genshin Impact.
Now, the Genshin Impact will work but you won’t get the best gaming experience but the games like COD Mobile, PUBG New State, or even BGMI Mobile will work fine.
Cameras
No one should buy tablets for cameras whether it’s an iPad or Android Tablet. Tablets are for entertainment, office work, and video calls.
Of course, you can use Tablets as you like but I just gave you how normal users use their tablet in day-to-day life.
The 13MP rear camera does take good images but don’t expect that the Xiaomi Pad 6 will give you better images or videos than your smartphone.
The 8MP front camera is good too, again, it’s for video calls only. Don’t try to take selfies and post them on social media.
For those who are asking, the rear camera can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps and 4k@30fps while the front can shoot at 1080p@30fps.
Overall, the Xiaomi Pad 6 has good cameras for Android tablet.

Audio
You want to guess, Okay let me tell you,
The Xiaomi Pad 6 has 4 speakers, two on top and two on bottom. The speakers are loud and clean too, it doesn’t feel like cheap speakers.
Whether you want to watch movies or even YouTube Videos, you will get the best sound quality.
Also, keep in mind, the Xiaomi Pad 6 only comes in a Wifi version, so no LTE.
This means you can’t make or receive calls but if you’re using any social media apps then you will be able to make or receive them with the help of the internet.
Battery
Xiaomi has added an 8,860mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging. It will take about 100 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%.
So if you’re a normal user who only uses YouTube, uses social media and OTT apps then expect about 2 days of battery life but if you’re gonna play games then the Pad will only last for a day.
The charger and cable are supplied in the box.
Xiaomi Pad 6 Accessories
Xiaomi has also launched some accessories for Xiaomi Pad 6,
- Xiaomi Pad 6 keyboard: Rs 4,999
- Xiaomi Pad 6 case: Rs 1,499
- Xiaomi Smart Pen (2nd generation): Rs 5,999
One thing I liked about the Smart Pad (2nd Gen) is its battery life.
The 1st gen had only 5 hours of battery life while 2nd gen had a whopping 150 hours of battery life when it fully changed.
I don’t know how Xiaomi is doing it but it’s a huge jump.
The smart pan is not as good as the Apple pencil but it’s not the worst either, the latency is low and you won’t notice it while using it in day-to-day life.
The smart keyboard is good too but the only missing thing is the trackpad. It only has keys, so you will have to buy a separate Bluetooth mouse or use your fingers.
Overall, Xiaomi Pad 6 has all the official accessories that a tablet should have, and this too at an affordable price.
