Is it Worth Buying Mi 11 Lite? Overpriced, skip it?
Xiaomi is back with another device and this time it’s under the Mi brand. The newly launched Mi 11 Lite is an elder brother of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max in price only. Both the phones have the same processor but when the phone has Pro Max in name why go with Lite.
Mi 11 Lite Launch Offer
By the way, if you pre-register Mi 11 lite before 25th June 2021 then you will get a Rs 1,500 discount and also, with HDFC bank debit & credit card, another Rs 1,500 discount.
That means 6GB+128GB will be Rs 18,999 and 8GB+128GB will be Rs 20,999. Now, this is a launch offer, you won’t get this same offer after 25th June 2021.
Device | Regular Price | Launch Price |
---|---|---|
Mi 11 Lite (6GB+128GB) | Rs 21,999 | Rs 18,999 |
Mi 11 Lite (8GB+128GB) | Rs 23,999 | Rs 20,999 |
Still, I feel Rs 18,999 would have been the best price for Mi 11 lite, Rs 21,999 is a bit pricey for Mi 11 Lite because we already have Redmi Note 10 Pro max at a 20k price tag.

Is it Worth Buying Mi 11 Lite?
Yes, Mi 11 Lite is worth buying because the phone has the best display quality with 10bit color depth, good camera setup, solid battery life with fast charging, fingerprint sensor, slim body design, 90Hz refresh rate, and Dual speakers. Overall, Mi 11 Lite is worth buying but it’s not value for money device.
The Mi 11 Lite price starts from Rs 21,999 for 6GB+128GB and at this price, we have phones like OnePlus Nord CE, IQOO Z3, Mi 10i, and many more. So Mi 11 Lite doesn’t make any sense at the 22k price tag.
I mean, you can get Redmi Note 10 Pro Max at 20k with better specs then Mi 11 Lite.
Xiaomi has marketed Mi 11 Lite as the slimmest phone and that’s true, so if you like lightweight phones then this could be a good phone but if you want an overall, value for money device then it’s better to look at Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max VS Mi 11 Lite
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is a clear winner, so if you want to buy a new phone then it’s better to go with Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. Both the phones don’t have 5G, so it’s not like, you’re missing out on 5G.

The Mi 11 Lite
Mi 11 Lite comes with a 6.55-inches AMOLED 90Hz 10bit display which is the best you can get at a 22k price tag. It also has Wide wide L1 support that means, you can watch FHD+ content on OTT platforms.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 732G SoC and this is where I feel, Xiaomi should have gone with Snapdragon 765G or 768G SoC because this is a 22k phone and not an 18k phone.
Processor is the only down side of Mi 11 Lite, everything else is good for its price.

Also, Mi 11 lite has 64MP primary sensor + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro rear cameras while there is a 16MP selfie shooter. The cameras are kind of ok, it’s not as good as its price. I will post a review of Mi 11 Lite very soon, so more will be on review regarding cameras.
To power-up, Xiaomi has added 4,250 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The battery will last for day but if you’re heavy user then you may need to charge this phone twist a day.
Forget to add, Mi 11 Lite doesn’t have 3.5mm audio port, so use dongle or buy TMW earbuds.
Conclusion: Buy or Not?
If you ask me, I would say, it’s better to go with Redmi Note 10 Pro Max but if you want slim smartphone then Mi 11 Lite could be good option.
