iQOO Neo 6 5G Review
Yes, iQOO Neo 6 5G is worth buying because it offers real value at a great price, it has a powerful Snapdragon 870 processor, 64MP triple rear cameras with OIS, superfast 80W wired charging support, loudspeakers, super-bright display, and it’s available at Rs 29,999 which is a good price for what iQOO is offering with iQOO Neo 6 5G.
I get that, the price could have been better but again, you also have to see the chip shortage and inflation too, so I feel, the pricing is not aggressive nor overpriced.

By the way, it clear-cut gaming smartphone, and yet, the phone has good cameras.
Also, that 80W wired charging help also and iQOO has also added the 80W charging adopter in the box too.
Now, I don’t have to talk much about the Snapdragon 870 SoC because it’s a powerful processor, so there won’t be any kind of issue with the performance. The Fun Touch OS might be a deal-breaker for some people but if you’re okay with the UI then there is nothing to worry about.
Overall, considering the price and the specifications, iQOO Neo 6 5G is a great smartphone and it does offer value at a 30k price tag.

Display
The iQOO Neo 6 5G comes with a 6.62-inches 120Hz AMOLED display with a pick brightness of 1300 nits and 398 PPI density. There is no mention of what kind of glass iQOO has used on the front but the back and frame are made out of plastic.
It also has HDR10+ support and iQOO has given support to stream HDR content on Netflix as well. There is also widevine L1 support too which means, you will be able to stream FHD+ content on OTT platforms.
As the phone has an AMOLED panel, IQOO manages to add an in-display fingerprint sensor too which works great, no issue there.

Now that 1300 nits brightness helps a lot while using a smartphone outdoors, the phone will be visible enough to use even under the sunlight because of the 1300 nits panel.
IQOO has also partnered with BGMI which means, soon you will be able to play BGMI Mobile at 90fps.
Overall, it’s a bright and good quality AMOLED display, so there won’t be any kind of issue while watching movies or playing games.
Performance
We have seen Snapdragon 870 SoC in iQOO 7 5G too and the same has been added to iQOO Neo 6 5G too. The phone runs on Fun Touch OS 12 based on Android 12.
Now, talking about myself, I’m not a big fan of Fun Touch OS or any other Custom Android Skin but if I have to choose one then I would go with RealMe UI.
Here, I won’t say how good or bad Fun Touch OS is, in the end, you have to decide whether you like the Design of Fun Touch OS.
The UI is smooth too, so there won’t be any kind of issue with speed because the Snapdragon 870 is a powerful processor, so you won’t face any kind of problems.

IQOO has only added 4 5G bands which are kind of low, they should at least add 7 or 11 5G Bands.
For those who don’t know, 5G is yet to launch in India and we don’t know whether 5G will launch all over India at the same time or not. so don’t worry about the 5G bands yet.
Overall, there won’t be any kind of issue with gaming or using smartphones in day-to-day life. The Snapdragon 870 is a well-optimized processor.
Cameras
The IQOO Neo 6 5G comes with a 64MP primary sensor (OIS) + an 8MP ultra-wide lens + a 2MP macro sensor while there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. The rear cameras can shoot videos up to 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps while the front can shoot at only 1080p@30fps.
The phone does have OIS but sometimes, it feels gimmicky.
For example, when shooting videos at 1080p@30fps, the videos do come out stable but it looks like floating videos and feels like, IQOO has applied the warp stabilizer effect from premiere pro.
So yes, the camera can be improved with an OTA update and iQOO can take more advantage of that OIS.
By the way, this time, iQOO has worked on the color correction too. The colors on videos or even photos come out, close to nature. Also, as iQOO is a sub-brand of Vivo, the colors do pop out a bit but it’s not too much compared to other Vivo phones.
OIS also helps a lot in images too, if you’re in a hurry and if you take images, the images will come out stable and clean because of that OIS support.

The sensor also provides good details too, the colors are not that saturated which is a great thing because we have seen Vivo Phones try to boost the colors.
The phone also has dedicated night mode too which works fine but it’s not extraordinary, there is a bit of work to do other than that, but the 64MP sensor does its job.
Coming to the 8MP ultra-wide lens, here the colors or details don’t look as good as the 64MP sensor but again, the same, it does its job. I feel it’s high time that brands like iQOO should provide the bigger ultra-wide lens because we all that, ultra-wide lenses captured more areas and if the sensor is big where it can provide more details compared to the smaller sensors.
Now, it’s not like, the ultra-wide lens is bad or doesn’t provide good images, it’s just that, as this is a 30k smartphone, it would have been great if the phone had the bigger ultra-wide lens.
We all know that Vivo or should I say IQOO is known for front cameras, so yes, there is no issue with the selfies. The sensor takes some of the best selfies and I think you will love what iQOO has done with the front cameras, by the way, the same can’t be said for the videos.
Overall, for the price of Rs 29999, one should not complain about the cameras, they can be improved a bit but, still, the phone has good cameras and there won’t be any kind of issue while taking videos or photos.

Audio Quality
The iQOO Neo 6 5G has a stereo speaker which works fine, no issues there. Its dual speakers, so can’t complain much.
It also has a secondary noise-cancellation microphone. There is also carrier aggregation support which will help a lot in calling.
As this is a flagship smartphone, there is no 3.5mm audio jack. You can use the TWS earbuds or buy Type-C to 3.5mm dongle for wired earphones.
iQOO has also added an IR blaster too.
Overall, the sound quality is good and there are no issues with call quality too.
Battery Life
The iQOO Neo 6 5G comes with a 4,700mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. The 80W charger will take about 32 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%.
The phone doesn’t have wireless charging support but iQOO has added an 80W charger in the box.
Overall, the battery should last for the day because of the processor but in the end, it depends on you, and how you use your smartphone every day.

Now, if you’re a heavy user then you will need to charge this smartphone two times a day.
You can also use the 80W charger, so even if the battery doesn’t last for a day then the charger will help a lot.

Is Iqoo neo 6 better than Realme 9 Pro Plus in terms of the camera?
No…
Will iQOO neo 6 Support 5G properly in india as it has only 4 5g Bands?
Same Question. Will iQOO neo 6 Support 5G properly in india as it has only 4 5g Bands?
It has n1, n41, n77, and n78 5G Bands and yes, the phone will support 5G in India. Now, if you visit any small villages in India then you will have a hard time getting a strong 5G network but 4 5G bands are sufficient if you’re living in big cities. In short, it’s better to get a phone with more than 6 5G Bands to get proper coverage all over India.
