Vivo T2 5G Review with Pros and Cons
Vivo’s T Series produces budget-friendly phones that aim to provide real value at a real price tag however, sometimes the T series phones are just a rebrand of IQOO’s Z series phone.
In the case of Vivo T2 5G, this is purely a rebrand of IQOO Z7 5G minus the processor.
Vivo T2 5G Price in India
- 6GB Ram + 128GB storage: Rs 18,999

Vivo T2 5G Review
Vivo T2 5G is a gorgeous-looking smartphone that happens to have good cameras, superfast charging, a smooth AMOLED panel, and even a decent processor but the problem is we have IQOO Z7 5G that provides better value, so it makes sense to skip the Vivo T2 5G and consider the IQOO Z7 5G.
For those who don’t know, IQOO is a sub-brand of Vivo and also runs on FUN Touch OS.

So if you wanted to buy a Vivo phone then you won’t be missing out on any features if you plan to go with the IQOO Z7 5G.
It’s just that, you will get a better phone.
Vivo T2 5G Pros and Cons
PROS | CONS |
---|---|
90Hz Smooth AMOLED Panel | Not For Gaming |
Solid Primary Sensor | Single Speaker |
Decent Processor | WaterDrop Notch |
Decent Battery Life | No Ultra-Wide Lens |
Waterdrop Notch | Filled with Bloatware |
6 5G Bands | Waterdrop Notch |
Vivo T2 5G: Display, Design, and Build
The Vivo V2 5G comes with a 6.38-inch FHD AMOLED panel with a 1080×2400 pixel resolution. It also has an optical in-display fingerprint sensor along with 1000 nits pick brightness and a 90 Hz screen refresh rate.
The 1000 nits brightness is good enough to use a smartphone outdoors whether you want to play games or do any sort of work, the display will be visible and you won’t face any kind of problem while using the device.
The optical in-display fingerprint is fast and snappy, so here too, Vivo has done a fabulous job.
The build quality is not that great as the phone has a plastic back and frames while the display is protected with Schott Xensation Glass.
Also, Vivo didn’t mention which version of Schott Xensation Glass they used.
Now, the design is subjective, one will love it and one will hate it. So what I have done is, I have added a few images of Vivo T2 5G, so check them out and decide whether you liked the design or not.
What I comment on is the water drop notch.
We’re living in 2023 and yet, Vivo has added huge bezels all around the device along with a water drop notch which is good.

Now, as I have said, design is subjective, so you decide what looks good and what does not.
Overall, Vivo has used a good-quality panel, however, the 120Hz refresh would have been a better choice compared to the 90Hz while the build quality is not that great, and even that water drop notch doesn’t feel or look great.
Vivo T2 5G: Performance and Fun Touch OS
To be frank I didn’t expect the Snapdragon 695 processor in Vivo T2 5G but here we’re.
The Snapdragon 695 SoC is a heavily used processor in smartphones under Rs 20000. It’s kind of an old SoC but now that it’s available at a cheaper price, brands are using it over newly launched SoC.
Now, the Snapdragon 695 is not a bad processor at all but it comes with a few limitations. Like, it doesn’t support 4k video recording and it’s not made for gaming at all.
It’s not like you can’t play games on a Snapdragon 695 SoC but it’s not made for it, so if you plan to play games for 1 to 2 hours then you will feel disappointed with your choice.
As this is Vivo’s smartphone, it runs on Fun Touch OS 13.1 based on Android 13. Now, Vivo didn’t say anything about the future update but going by their recently launched, the Vivo T2 5G should get 2 years of OS and 3 years of Security updates.
In short, the Vivo T2 5G will get Android 14 and Android 15 Updates.
Also, yes, the phone is Filled with Bloatware which is uninstallable but there are also ads in the UI that can’t be disabled 100%.
So even after paying Rs 19000, you will have to see ads here and there.
Vivo has also added 6 5G Bands which are N1, N3, N8, N28A, N77, and N78. So yes, you will be able to take advantage of the 5G network without any issues.
Overall, if you want to buy a gaming phone under Rs 20000 then kindly stay away from the Vivo T2 5G and consider buying either RealMe 9 SE 5G or IQOO Z7 5G.
Vivo T2 5G: Cameras
The Vivo T2 5G features a 64MP primary sensor and 2MP depth sensor while there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. Both the rear and front cameras can shoot videos at 10850p@30fps.
Yes, the phone doesn’t have the ultra-wide lens while the 2MP depth sensor doesn’t provide extraordinary images.
Also, the phone only supports 1080p video recording and the good thing is, Vivo has added OIS which works fine.
So if you’re planning to use this phone for vlogging then it might be a good option to consider. Now, keep in mind, the sensor provides a bit of saturated and whiter colors, so if you record yourself then you won’t look natural at all.
But yes, the videos will come out stable because of the OIS.
The 64MP primary sensor takes usable images and as it’s Vivo’s smartphone, you will get social media-ready images.
This means you won’t have to add any filters to post on social media, Vivo has added the same in their cameras.
I mean, it’s a typical Vivo smartphone that produces whiter and more saturated colors.
Now that 16MP front camera is a bit more on the whiter side, so yes, the beauty mode is pre-added to the stock camera app.
Along with that, the images come out a bit on the softer side.
Overall, yes, this is Vivo’s smartphone, so you can’t expect neutral colors, it’s a good smartphone for those who love saturated and whiter images.
Vivo has added this color science because we Indians love these kinds of colors, so there is nothing new here.

Vivo T2 5G: Audio Quality
It has a single speaker which is loud but it’s nowhere near the stereo speaker. Although, the phone does have a 3.5mm audio jack.
There is also support for dual 5G as well as Carrier Aggregation.
Overall, the 3.5mm audio jack is a good add-on but still, that single speaker is not justifiable for the 19k price tag.
Vivo T2 5G: Battery Life
Yes, the 44W wired charger is added to the retail box, so there is no need to buy one.
The 4,500mAh battery will only last for a day, if you’re a casual user and if you’re a casual user then you won’t buy the Vivo T2 5G, so get ready to charge this device twice a day.
The good news is, Vivo has promised the 44W charger in the box which will take 25 minutes to charge from 0% to 50%.
Overall, yes the battery size is small but Vivo has promised the 44W charger, so it balances out.
