Is it Worth Buying Redmi Note 10 Pro Max?
Xiaomi is back with Redmi Note 10 Series smartphones and it’s quite an upgrade from the last-gen Redmi Note 9 Series. Yet, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max doesn’t have 5G support that said, Pro Max doesn’t justify the name. So let’s put everything aside and see, whether you should buy Redmi Note 10 Pro max or not?
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max Price in India
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max Price in India Starts at Rs 18,999 for 6GB of Ram and 6GB storage while the 6GB Ram + 128GB Storage variant is priced at Rs 19,999. Xiaomi has also launched an 8GB Ram + 128GB variant which is priced at Rs 21,999. The first sale starts on 18th March 2021 at noon via Amazon.

Is it Worth Buying Redmi Note 10 Pro Max?
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max doesn’t have 5G support but it has everything else that could change things around. It has a Super AMOLED 120Hz display which is one of its kind at an 18k price tag, the phone also has a 108MP camera setup and 33W fast charging support. Now, if you want a 5G phone then Redmi Note 9 Pro Max it not worth buying but if you’re okay with 4G then it’s one of the best options to go with.
As I have said, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is missing one thing which is 5G and that’s all. Xiaomi should have gone with a 5G chip as India will get a 5G network very soon and having a 4G phone is not the best option.
We have RealMe Narzo 30 Pro at 16k and this phone has 5G support and better processor but it miss out on AMOLED display.
Coming back to Redmi Note 10 Pro Max
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with a 108MP rear camera setup featuring an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro sensor and 2MP depth sensor while there is a 16MP selfie shooter.
I have said many times and I will say it again, don’t fall for 108MP or 64MP camera sensor. Those are there to make up numbers and that’s it, if the company want to give the best camera quality then it can be archived in a 12MP sensor too.
That said, the phone does have good camera setup but it’s not as good as Galaxy S21 Ultra. Take the 108MP sensor as add-on. I do feel, the phone has best camera setup below 20k in India.
Performance
Talking about performance, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 732G Processor which is better than Snapdragon 720G which we have seen in Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
Here is the thing, we have a phone with MediaTek Dimensity 800U at 16k and Snapdragon 750G phone at 20k. So, I don’t see, why Redmi went with Snapdragon 732G at 18k, it doesn’t make any sense.
That said, Snapdragon 732G is a powerful processor which can handle almost every single game without any problem. So don’t worry about performance, it will be great.
Display
The phone has an AMOLED 6.67-inches 120Hz display which is the best thing because there are no other smartphones with an AMOLED 120Hz panel and this is the only selling point of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. I mean, you will see an AMOLED 120Hz panel in every single ad.
The phone has 5,020 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Conclusion
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is a good smartphone but it misses out on 5G which could be a huge let down for lots of people as most of the people in India including me, keep their smartphone for two or three years and not having 5G will hurt a lot.
That said, Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is worth buying smartphone as it has almost everything expect 5G.
Do let me know, will you buy Good 4G smartphone or balanced 5G smartphone which could be RealMe X7.
