Redmi Note 10 Pro Max Review
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has almost everything that you can think of from premium looks to the powerful processor and it also has a massive 108MP quad-camera setup which is huge as the phone is priced at only Rs 18,999.
Overall, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is worth the price tag and its value-for-money device but also keep in mind, the phone doesn’t have 5G support and that’s the only thing that the phone doesn’t have.

So if you ask me, I would say, just skip the Max version and go with the Pro version because that makes more sense.

Display quality
The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with 6.67 inches FHD+ AMOLED Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and it has 1200 nits of display brightness. Considering the price tag, these are huge numbers. I mean there are some phones which are priced at 50k and those phones have only a 60Hz refresh rate.
Here I would say, the phone has the best display quality and I can’t complain much about it here. Talking about myself, I always look for the best display quality on a smartphone as that’s what I’m gonna see every single day, and having a 120Hz AMOLED display is just, an add-on for me.

As I have said, the phone has 1200 nits of display brightness which is the max you can get at the 17k price tag. For now, other phones below 20k have around 800 to 1000 nits of brightness.
Now let’s just put the number aside, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has the best display quality under the 20k price tag. Also, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 732G which can handle that 120Hz refresh rate without any problem, so you won’t see any frame drop like Mi 10i 5G. It means, Xiaomi has optimized the MIUI 12 for the Note 10 Pro.
Design & Build Quality
Xiaomi has provided Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. That means you have to use a case to protect your smartphone because glass is glass and it will break if you drop it. So if you buy Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, make sure you use a case.
Coming to design, here I would say, after a long time, Xiaomi has refreshed its Number series and it does look better than ever. Now I don’t say much about design or looks because it depends on a user by user.
I have added some images of Redmi Note 10 Pro max, so you decide, whether you like it or hate it.
Performance
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is powered by an 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G Processor which has Adreno 618 GPU and Octa-core (2×2.3 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver) CPU inside. It’s running on MIUI 12-based Android 11.
This is an upgrade from Redmi Note 9 Pro Max but if we look at the current competition then it’s not the best processor to buy at a 20k price tag.
Moto G 5G has the Snapdragon 750G while RealMe X7 has the Mediatek Dimensity 800u 5G processor. This doesn’t mean, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is a bad smartphone, this means, that if you want better performance then you have other options as well.
Moto G 5G doesn’t have an AMOLED display while RealMe X7 doesn’t have a 120Hz AMOLED display and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate but it doesn’t have 5G support.

I know, it’s confusing, so let me put it this way, if you don’t care about 5G then Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is the best smartphone you can buy at 19k but if you really want that 5G then you can go with RealMe X7 or just added two thousand more and go with Mi 10i 5G.
That was simple as I can explain but still, if you have questions do let me know in the comment box.
Coming back to Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G, this chip can handle almost every single game that’s available on the play store including Fortnite. So there won’t be any kind of problem while playing games or scrolling through apps.
Also, the processor can handle a 120Hz refresh rate because this time, Xiaomi has optimized the MIUI 12.
Cameras
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has big numbers, I mean, you won’t see these kinds of numbers on a 50k phone but hey, this is a budget smartphone, so the company needs to add big numbers for promotions.
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with a 108MP rear camera setup featuring an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro sensor, and 2MP depth sensor while there is a 16MP selfie shooter.
I have said many times and I will say it again, don’t fall for a 108MP or 64MP camera sensor. Those are there to make up numbers and that’s it, if the company wants to give the best camera quality then it can be archived in a 12MP sensor too.
That 5MP Macro sensor and 2MP depth sensor are just to tell you that, you’re buying a phone with found cameras and not two cameras.
Coming to the 108MP camera sensor, I don’t think, a smartphone needs a 108MP sensor but it’s here, so it’s plus points because more pixels mean more detailed images. From here, it depends on the company, and how they want to show you those details.
In this case, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max does provide good images but it’s not 100% natural images. Cameras try to boost the colors a little bit which is all because Indian people like pop-up colors.
So if you’re thinking that a 108MP sensor will give better images than a 50k smartphone then don’t think like that.
Talking about 8MP ultra-wide lens, it does take some good images but when it’s come to low light conditions, it loses out of details which means, don’t use an ultra-wide lens at night.
Also, the 16MP selfie takes good quality images and it’s improved from the last-gen. So if you like to take selfies or love to shoot videos with the front camera then you won’t get disappointed.
Overall, Xiaomi has provided good-quality images but still, I feel, they need to work on cameras. They need to improve the night photography and that’s it. So if you want the best cameras set up below 20k then you can be considering Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.
Battery Life
I don’t say much about battery life as it depends on the users but the user. For example, if you use the phone for continues six hours then you have to charge the phone after six hours but if you use the phone for 30 minutes in the morning and the afternoon and then at night, this way, the phone can last for more than two days.
Battery life depends on users, and how they will use the phone.
Coming to Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, the phone will last for a day and you have to charge it at around 7 to 8 PM. Also, the phone has 33W fast charging support and it will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes to charge 0 to 100%.
Audio Quality
The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has stereo speakers which is a huge deal as the phone is priced at a 19k price tag. Also, the sound quality is great, it’s not just stereo speakers, it’s good stereo speakers.
Talking about, Call quality, the phone has one microphone on the bottom side and another one at the top. This means if you’re in a crowded place another person on the call will be able to hear you clearly.
Conclusion: Worth it or not?
Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with a powerful processor, the best camera setup, fast charging support, stereo speakers, 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display, and solid build quality but it doesn’t have 5G support.
So if you don’t buy a phone just because it doesn’t have 5G then it doesn’t make any sense because for now, In India, we don’t have a 5G network and even if it comes, it won’t be made available all over India.
5G will take years to come to your home. What I’m saying is, don’t buy a phone just because it has 5G, buy a phone because of its value for the device.
That said, you can buy Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. Also, you will get the same specification on Redmi Note 10 Pro but yes, this phone doesn’t have that 108MP sensor and that’s it, everything else is the same as the Max version.
