Best Mobile Phones Under Rs 30,000

If you’re looking for a smartphone under Rs 30000 then you have options like Nothing Phone 1, Motorola Edge 30, Pixel 6A, Motorola Edge 40, and even iQOO Neo 6 5G. So pick one that fits well with your requirements.

That being said, let’s explore these phones and see which one is the best option for you.

Nothing Phone 1

SPECIFICATIONS
6.55-inches FHD+ OLED Display
120Hz Refresh Rate
Snapdragon 778G+ 5G
12 5G Bands
Nothing OS – Android 12
50MP + 50MP Rear Cameras
16MP Front Camera
4,500mAh battery (33W)

The Nothing Phone 1 was launched at Rs 32,999 but now it’s only available at Rs 29,999 which is the best price for what Nothing is offering.

It has everything from great cameras, clean Android UI, beautiful design, solid build quality, and even a good processor.

Also, Nothing has recently updated the phone to Android 13 where they have fixed almost all the bugs along with that, the cameras are improved and better compared to the launch day.

Update: The Nothing Phone 1 will get Nothing OS 2.0 based on the Android 14 update at the end of August 2023.

Nothing Phone 1 is now running on Nothing OS 2.0 based on Android 13 and yes it will get Android 14 but when? it’s not confirmed yet.

By the way, Nothing Phone 2 has launched, and it’s not what I was expecting, Read my review here.

If you want a smartphone for everything except gaming, although, the Snapdragon 778+ is a good processor then do consider the Nothing Phone 1 but it’s not powerful enough to handle heavy gaming.

Google Pixel 6A

SPECIFICATIONS
6.10-inches FHD+ OLED Display
60Hz Refresh Rate
Google Tensor (5 nm)
12 5G Bands
Android 13
12.2MP + 12MP Rear Cameras
8MP Front Camera
4,410mAh battery (18W)

Google Pixel 6A was launched at a whopping Rs 43,999 price tag but now, it’s available at Rs 29,999.

Now, the phone does have its Pros and Cons but for those who are looking for a clean Android experience along with the best cameras for photography then do consider buying the Pixel 6A.

The Google Tensor is a good processor but it’s not good for gaming, it gets hot after playing games for even 30 minutes while the 60Hz screen refresh rate is not justifiable at a 30k price tag.

If you want the best cameras for Photography, a clean Android Experience, and longer Android updates. Don’t buy the device for Gaming at all…

Motorola Edge 30

SPECIFICATIONS
6.50-inches FHD+ OLED Display
Snapdragon 778G Processor
Stock Android 12
50MP + 50MP+ 2MP Rear Cameras
32MP Front Camera
4,020mAh battery (30W)

Motorola Edge 30 has everything you ever wanted in a mid-budget smartphone. It features a 6.50-inch 144Hz 10bit OLED HDR10+ display.

The device is powered by Snapdragon 778G SoC and runs on Android 12 and it will get an Android OS update up to Android 14.

If you’re okay with decent battery life and average cameras then do consider the Motorola Edge 30 5G otherwise increase your budget and consider the Nothing Phone 1.

Also, the Motorola Edge 30 is available at Rs 24,999. So for this price, you’re getting a good deal but keep in mind, the phone doesn’t have the best cameras and this is the only big disadvantage of Moto Edge 30.

Motorola Edge 40 5G

SPECIFICATIONS
6.55-inches FHD+ pOLED
Curved Display
IP68 Rated (up to 1.5m for 30 min)
144Hz Refresh Rate
14 5G bands
Mediatek Dimensity 8020 (6 nm)
Android 13
50MP + 13MP Rear Cameras
16MP Front Camera
4,400mAh battery
68W Wired and 15W Wireless

Motorola has nailed everything with Motorola Edge 40 5G. It has everything that you get in a premium phone from IP68 Rating, wireless charging, premium Aluminum frames, lightweight build, and even eSIM support.

Now, the downside is the cameras.

I not saying, the phone has the worst cameras but it’s not the best for the Rs 30,000. Again, it can be improved with updates and I hope, Motorola does the same.

Still, you’re getting an overall good smartphone and Motorola is proving real value this time.

What I’m about to say can be arguable. Under the Rs 30,000 at this movement, the Motorola Edge 40 is the best option you have, I mean, it’s waterproof and has wireless charging which is too rare to see under 30k.

IQOO Neo 6 5G

SPECIFICATIONS
6.62-inches FHD+ AMOLED Display
Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G
Android 12- Fun Touch 12
64MP + 8MP + 2MP Rear Cameras
16MP Front Camera
4,700mAh battery (80W)

Now, I don’t have to talk much about the Snapdragon 870 SoC because it’s a powerful processor.

So there won’t be any kind of issue with the performance. The Fun Touch OS might be a deal-breaker for some people but if you’re okay with the UI then there is nothing to worry about.

The cameras are not that bad, It’s not as good as Nothing Phone 1 but still, considering the gaming smartphone, IQOO Neo 6 5G has good cameras.

If you want the best gaming smartphone under Rs 30,000 then do consider the iQOO Neo 6 5G.

Verdict

If you are one of those users who buy the phone because of the design then do consider the Nothing Phone 1 but if you want all round the best phone then as of this movement, there is no better option than the Motorola Edge 40.

This does have its Pros and Cons but considering its competition, it’s worth the Rs 30,000 price tag.
