Vivo X70 Pro Review

Vivo X70 Pro is a camera-centric smartphone and it also has a powerful processor too. It features a 50MP Gimble camera setup along with OIS and massive 44W fast charging support. Overall, Vivo X70 Pro is for those users who wants the best camera phone and are willing to pay extra money.

There is no doubt, MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 SoC is a good processor but at 47k, this is expensive. I mean, you get a smartphone with Snapdragon 888 SoC at 35k, so yes, Vivo has done cost-cutting.

That cost-cutting has been used on Cameras, yes, the Vivo X70 Pro has the best camera setup under the 50k price tag. Almost all the camera has OIS support and the primary sensor has Gimble Stabilization.

Look at it this way, you can get a balanced smartphone that has the best camera, best performance, best build, best display and it’s priced at 50k.

While another smartphone has the best display, great camera, good performance, best build and it’s also priced at 50k. This is Vivo X70 Pro.

So if you’re okay with paying an extra 22k for the best camera setup then Vivo X70 Pro is worth buying otherwise you can get Snapdragon 888 SoC smartphone at 35k with a good camera too, take look at RealMe GT 5G (review).

That was the Pros and Cons of Vivo X70 Pro with Review, now, let’s go deep down and find out whether you should spend Rs 46,999 on Vivo X70 Pro or not?

Vivo X70 Pro Display Quality

Vivo X70 Pro comes with a 6.56-inches AMOLED 120Hz display and it has 1300 nits of pick brightness. The device also has Widevine L1 support that means, you will be able to watch FHD+ content on OTT apps.

The phone also has HRD10+ support and you will be able to watch HDR10+ content on Prime Video and even on YouTube but for some reason, HDR10+ wasn’t working on Netflix. This problem can be fixed with OTA and I hope, Vivo fixes the problem very soon.

Vivo has used good quality AMOLED panel and it’s bright too, so there won’t be any problem while using the Vivo X70 Pro outdoors. The display will be visible under the sunlight, you will also be able to watch movies or even take calls without any problem.

You’re paying a premium for the camera but that’s not it, Vivo has used glass back as well as metal frames to give you a premium feel. Now, there is no word on which kind of glass has been used on the front, so can’t comment on display protection.

Overall, Vivo X70 Pro has the best display quality, if not the best. You won’t face any problems while playing games or even watching YouTube videos.

Vivo X70 Pro Cameras

You’re paying an extra 10k for only the camera and nothing else, so read this very carefully.

The Vivo X70 Pro comes with a 50MP primary sensor and this sensor has Gimble, 12MP Ultra-wide lens with OIS, 12MP portrait with 2X zoom, an 8MP telephoto lens with OIS while there is a 32MP selfie shooter on the front.

The rear camera can shoot videos up to 4k@60fps & 1080p@60fps while the front can shoot up to 4k@30fps and 1080p@30fps.

Out of four, three lenses has OIS built-in, so there is nothing to worry about video quality. The video footage will come out stable and that gimble camera will help a lot when you shoot videos with the primary sensor.

The good thing is, Vivo didn’t miss out on details, even while using OIS, the videos do come out with details. Vivo has also worked on the dynamic range too, so no issue there.

Overall, if you’re that person who shoots videos more than taking photos then the Vivo X70 Pro is the best option for you.

Talking about photos, the 50MP primary sensor takes some good images in daylight and even at night too. The stock camera app also has a night mode which works the best, you will get the details as well as brighter images even at night.

Also, as the phone has Gimble on the primary sensor and because of that while using night mode, the images won’t blur out.

The 12MP ultra-wide takes some good images and this too has OIS which is very helpful whether you’re taking videos or even taking images.

Coming to an 8MP telephoto lens, it has up to 5X optical zoom and 60x Digital zoom. Don’t try to use, digital zoom because images won’t be useable at 60x.

Also, having OIS in a telephoto lens help very much because at 5x, sometimes, images may come out blurry but because it has OIS, there is nothing to worry about.

Vivo has also added tons of camera features on the stock camera app, use as you need.

Vivo is known for the front camera and the same can be said for 32MP sensors too. This is a well-optimized sensor and it provided good images with good lights and even at low lights too.

Overall, there is nothing to complain about the camera. Vivo has added almost all the features and all the sensors are well-optimized.

Vivo X70 Pro Performance

Vivo X70 Pro is powered by MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 SoC and it’s running on Fun Touch OS 12-based on Android 11. It has 4 5G bands including n3, n5, n77, and n78.

We have seen, the MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 SoC in 25k smartphones and the same chipset is offered by Vivo on 47k smartphones. So yes, you’re paying 22k extra for MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 SoC.

Vivo has added that 22k on the Camera department and it’s worth it but still, Vivo X70 Pro is a bit pricey.

Related Best Gaming Smartphones Under Rs 50,000

The MediaTek MT6893 Dimensity 1200 SoC is a powerful processor and there won’t be any kind of problem while playing games like BGMI, COD Mobile or even Free Fire.

Talking about UI, Fun Touch OS has become cleaner than the previous version but still, Vivo has pre-loaded lots of third-party apps which can be uninstalled but still, even after paying 46k, this is not the best user experience.

All in all, there won’t be any kind of problem while using the Vivo X70 Pro in Day to day life even while playing games too.

Vivo X70 Pro Audio Quality

Vivo V70 Pro comes with Stereo Single Speaker and it also has a secondary noise cancellation microphone along with an IR blaster to control smart home devices.

The speaker quality is good and it works fine, nothing to complain about.

Also, I tested with Airtel and Jio SIM cards didn’t face any issues while calling.

Vivo X70 Pro Battery Life

The Vivo X70 Pro has a 4,400 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support and Vivo has provided a 44W adapter in the box.

I have said earlier, the battery life depends on a user by user. Some users can finish the 6,000 mAh battery in the day while some can finish in two days.

For casual users, the Vivo X70 Pro will last for a day but if you’re a heavy user who plays a lot so gaming then ready to charge the device two times.

Also, there won’t be an issue because the device supports 44W charging.

Verdict

Vivo X70 Pro is not for everyone, it’s the best option for those users who want the best camera and are willing to pay extra money for the camera only. Also, there won’t be any problem with performance but the used chip doesn’t worth the 47k price tag.

I have shared with you the Pros and Cons of the Vivo X70 Pro, now you have to decide whether you want to buy this phone or not?

I have to buy a new smartphone for under 50k then I would happily go with Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. The thing is, I don’t like Fun Touch OS. That’s my reason.

Also, let me know, if you have any other questions regarding the Vivo X70 Pro in the comment box, I would love to chat with you.
