5G will be rolling out in India from March-2021 that means if you want to use 5G then you have to buy 5G supported smartphone or you won’t able to use 5G network. As of now, there are not many smartphones available at a budget price in India but we have some of the best 5G smartphones that you can buy under Rs 30,000 in India.
So let’s take look at some of the best mid-budget 5G smartphone which has good specifications.
Xiaomi Mi 10i 5G
Xiaomi is back with Mi 10i 5G and as you can tell from the name, this is 5G smartphone and its powerful 5G smartphone. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 750G chipset and this is by far best chip you can get below 25k in India, so there won’t be any kind of problem in gaming or in day to day use.
The phone also has huge 4,820 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support and yes, the battery will last for a day, it won’t last more than 1 day, you have to charge Mi 10i 5G at the end of every single day.
This is the only smartphone available under Rs 25,000 that has 108-Megapixel (Samsung HM2 sensor) quad rear camera setup featuring 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP Macro lens and 2MP depth sensor while there is 16MP selfie shooter.
Overall, if you want power pack smartphone at a budget price then don’t look for anything else, Mi 10i 5G has everything expect AMOLED display. So if you want AMOLED display then look at Galaxy M51 but you will lose out on 120Hz refresh rate, 5G support, 33W fast charging, solid build quality and you have to pay 2k more.

Motorola G 5G
Motorola G 5G is the cheapest 5G smartphone available in India. The phone is priced at Rs 20,999 and it has all-new Snapdragon 750G Processor which is by far the best chipset you can buy at 21k. The phone is also running on Android 10 and this is Stock UI, so there won’t be any third-party apps installed and it won’t have ads in the UI like MIUI or RealMe UI.
The Moto G 5G (review) has huge 5,000 mAh battery with 20W fast charging support and the battery will last for one day. It also has 48MP + 8MP + 2MP rear camera while there is 16MP selfie shooter. In short, the phone does have a good sensor but Motorola needs to optimize the software.
As of now, the phone doesn’t have the best cameras, so if you want the best cameras then you have to go with a 4G phone. You can go with Galaxy M51 which has great Camera setup but this 4G smartphone.

OnePlus use to launch a budget smartphone but after OnePlus 3T they stopped making budget smartphone and went with a premium smartphone but now, they have launched a mid-budget smartphone which has everything that you can think of. The OnePlus Nord has powered Snapdragon 765G Processor and it’s running on Oxygen OS 10.5-based on Android 10.
The key selling point of OnePlus Nord is, Oxygen OS, even if some other brand launches better phone at the same price as OnePlus Nord then still, people gonna buy OnePlus Nord just because of clean and smooth user experience.
The phone has 4,115 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support, best AMOLED display, solid build quality, a powerful processor with 5G support but the phone doesn’t have the best cameras and this is the only down-side of OnePlus Nord.
Overall, if you can live with above-Average cameras then OnePlus Nord is the best option but if you want good cameras then it’s better to skip OnePlus Nord (review).

Vivo V20 Pro 5G
Vivo uses to launch an expensive smartphone with great selfie camera setup but things are changing. Now, they are launching a good smartphone at a better price point. The Vivo V20 Pro 5G is powered by the same Snapdragon 765G Processor but it’s running on FunTouch OS 11-based on Android 10.
The Vivo V20 Pro 5G has best specifications, it has the best camera setup, a powerful processor with 5G and it supports all the 5G bands, 33W fast charging support, Micro-SD card slot, AMOLED display but the phone is running on FunTouch OS and that’s where I feel, thing changes.
I know, some people like custom UI but FunTouch OS is not simple UI to use, it will take some time to get use it. So if you don’t like Custom UI then Vivo V20 Pro 5G (review) is not the best option for you. Now, if you have used MIUI or Color OS then don’t think too much Vivo V20 Pro 5G is the best device for you.
The phone is priced at Rs 29,999 which is a bit extra, it should have launched at 27k but this is Vivo, so can’t expect that. Overall, if you’re okay with FunTouch and willing to pay 3k extra for better cameras then OnePlus Nord then just go for it.
|Display||6.40 inches FHD+ AMOLED Display|
|Cameras||48MP + 8MP + 2MPRear | Dual 44MP + 5MP Front|
|OS||Android 10 (FunTouch OS 11)|
|Processor||Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC|
|Battery||4,000 mAh (non-removable)|
For now, these are the three 5G phones available under Rs 30,000, if new 5G phone comes up then I will add it right here. Now if I have to pick one then I will go with OnePlus Nord, just because of Oxygen OS, I mean, I don’t want to use FunTouch OS and Moto G 5G doesn’t have great cameras and it’s made out of Plastic.
OnePlus Nord is what I will buy under 30k in India. Do let me know, which one would you pick?
