RealMe GT Neo 3T Review

RealMe use to launch value-for-money devices when they were a new brand but now, things are not the same the newly launched RealMe GT Neo 3T comes with lots of compromises, and yet it starts at Rs 29999.

The RealMe GT Neo 3T price in India starts from Rs 29,999 for 6GB of Ram and 128GB of storage, the 8GB of Ram and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 31,999 while another 8GB of Ram and 256GB storage variant is available at Rs 33,999.

RealMe GT Neo 3T Review

No, The RealMe GT Neo 3T is not worth buying because this is Rs 29,999 smartphone and yet, the RealMe is offering a plastic build, a decent camera, no OIS, decent speakers, lots of bloatware, and no NFC. However, the device does have some Pros but still, for the price of Rs 29999, it’s not justifiable at all.

One of the disadvantages, its plastic build which is not justifiable for a 30k smartphone. The bottom bezels are also big and the punch hole is bigger too compared to its competition.

Advantages will be, it has super bright 1300 nits brightness, 120Hz refresh rate helps a lot in day-to-day usage, Snapdragon 870 is a powerful and balanced processor, and 80W fast charging helps the device to charge in only 30 minutes.

Concluding everything, the RealMe GT Neo 3T has its Pros and Cons but the Cons are on the higher side when we see the Rs 29999 price tag, this would have been a killer smartphone at Rs 25,999.

Display

The RealMe GT Neo 3T comes with a 120Hz 6.62-inches AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a pick brightness of 1300 nits. It also has a 360Hz Touch Sampling Rate and an HDR10+ ready panel.

One of my biggest complaints is,

This is Rs 29,999 and yet, the front display has a big bottom chin while the punch hole is also bigger, so this feels like, they have used Rs 15000 smartphone design and added all premium features and that’s it.

The back and frame are made from plastic while the front is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Again the same, if the company is charging Rs 30000, they should provide value to the customers but the same can’t be said for RealMe’s GT Neo 3T.

The device does have Wide Vine L1 and HDR10+ support but for some reason, I was able to watch movies at FHD+ resolution on Netflix but I wasn’t able to watch HDR content, so if I’m not able to watch HDR movies then what I will do with that HDR10+ ready panel.

It’s great for marketing but not great for users. The in-display fingerprint sensor works fine as useable but it won’t work if your hands are wet because this is an optical sensor and not the ultrasonic sensor.

Overall, the AMOLED panel is bright and you won’t face any kind of problem while using the smartphone under direct sunlight. That’s the only positive point about the display.

Cameras

Note: If you want you can check out the Camera sample of RealMe GT Neo 3T, it’s a Google Drive link, so go there and see it by yourself.

The device comes with a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro sensor while there 16MP selfie shooter on the front. The rear camera can shoot videos at 1080p@30/60fps, and 4k@30/60fps while the front can only shoot at 1080p@30fps.

None of the cameras have the OIS, everything relies on EIS which doesn’t work the best.

Again, I have to tell you, this is Rs 29999 and yet, RealMe didn’t feel the need to add OIS.

First, let’s talk about the videos,

The stabilization is not good at all, the videos will come out stable if you’re standing in one place but if you move or start walking then you will see, a bit of shakiness while if you start running then the video won’t be useable at all.

The dynamic range was okay if you stand behind the sunlight but if start walking then the camera will have a hard to figure out the colors and it will mess up the background.

The colors are saturated like any other RealMe, Vivo, or OPPO smartphone. So don’t expect the natural colors from the videos as well as from the images.

Pro-tip, don’t ever use the ultra-wide lens at night stick to the primary sensor.

Talking about the 64MP Primary sensor,

This is a bigger sensor and yet, it suffers a lot under low light, it creates, lots of noise, and the images also come out soft.

It also has a dedicated night mode but that too doesn’t work the best all the time. Now, if there is enough light then the images will come out usable with help of night mode because it adds lots of exposure and softens the image.

The sensor works great under sunlight, yes, the images do comes saturated but still, the details are there.

By the way, you should not complain about the saturation because this is OPPO-owned RealMe, so they will use OPPO’s color science.

Coming to the 8MP Ultra-wide,

A smaller sensor doesn’t mean, it will provide bad images but in the case of RealMe GT Neo 3T, it provides bad images…

After using the ultra-wide lens, one thing is for sure, RealMe forgot to optimize the ultra-wide, they just added the sensor or used the sensor from Rs 15000 smartphone.

Under low light, it creates hall lot of noise, adds too much softness, tries to overexpose the image, and in between, it loses out on details.

When there are good lights, the 8MP ultra-wide lens will take good images but still, it doesn’t feel like Rs 30000 camera.

Now, forget the 2MP sensor, and let’s move on 16MP front camera,

Here is the one-line review of the front camera of RealMe GT Neo 3T,

The 16MP front camera takes good mages under good lights but it adds lots of white colors and it will soften the human skin, it feels like ReaMe has added beauty mode within the stock camera app.

Concluding everything,

I wish the phone had OIS and a better ultra-wide lens while RealMe needs to work a lot in low light photography, so they can call RealMe GT Neo 3T Rs 29,999 smartphone.

Performance

No doubt the Snapdragon 870 is a well-optimized processor and it does work the best in almost all kinds of tasks, so there is nothing more to say.

Whether you want to play games or just use social media, you won’t be disappointed with its performance.

RealMe has also promised 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates which mean, the device will get Android 13 and 14 Updates.

As of now, it runs on RealMe 3.0 based on Android 12.

For those who wanted to see the numbers,

Overall, you will be more than happy with its performance. Also, the device has 9 5G Bands which means, that whenever 5G launches in your city, you will be able to take advantage of 5G connectivity.

Audio

Ready,

The RealMe GT Neo 3T comes with a stereo speaker but it does have a 3.5mm Audio Jack. The speaker quality is not that great, the 30% Value comes from the top speaker while the remaining comes from the bottom speaker.

The speaker is good, no doubt about that but it doesn’t worth the Rs 29,999 price tag. It could have been a bit louder.

It also has Carrier Aggregation support and even a secondary noise cancellation microphone.

Battery

The 5000mAh battery will last for a day without any problem but if you’re a heavy user then get ready to charge the device twice a day.

Now, RealMe has bundled the 80W charger in the box which will only take 30 minutes to charge from 0%to 100%.

Review

RealMe GT Neo 3T could have been the best smartphone under Rs 30000 but that didn’t happen and it remained a decent smartphone that you shouldn’t consider at Rs 29999 because we have tons of better smartphones that provide Real value, like, Moto Edge 30, IQOO Neo 6, and even RealMe 9 Pro Plus.

3.1

Still, if you have doubts or any kind of question then feel free to comment, and we will chat about it, see you there…
