OnePlus 10 Pro 5G price in India starts from Rs 66,999 for 8GB Ram + 128GB storage while 12GB Ram + 256GB storage variant is available at Rs 71,999. The device comes with Emerald Forest and Volcanic Black color options and it will be available from 5th April 2022 via Amazon at noon in India.

OnePlus 10 Pro 5G Review
If you’re willing to pay 66k for the OnePlus brand then yes, the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G is worth buying otherwise we have tons of better options from Samsung and even from Apple, so it doesn’t make any sense to pay a premium for the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G.
The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G has the same camera quality as the OnePlus 9 Pro 5G, there are a few improvements but that doesn’t justify the Rs 66,999 price tag. We all know, that the cameras are a weak part of the OnePlus and the same can be seen in the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G too.
Still, OnePlus is charging premium which doesn’t justify it at all.

Also, OnePlus didn’t provide any official IP rating, so don’t dare to use this smartphone under the water.
Again, the build quality is great, no issue with battery life, and that 80W wired and 50W wireless charging helps a lot. By the way, the phone has a 6.70-inches 120Hz display with a pick brightness of 13000 which is great, I don’t think anyone will have any kind of problem with the display.
Overall, for the price of Rs 66999, it’s hard to recommend the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G because we have phones like Motorola Edge 30 Pro 5G, Galaxy S21 SE 5G, iPhone 12, and many others at good prices, so there will be some hesitation.
In short, I would like to say, the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G is a good smartphone that could have been great but unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

Display Quality
The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G comes with 10bit 6.670-inches 120Hz LTPO2 AMOLED with a pick brightness of 1300 nits and support for HDR10+. On the front, it has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus while there is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the back, and the frame is made of aluminum.
OnePlus has done a great job when it comes to display, there won’t be any kind of problem while playing games or even watching movies. Also, there is support for Widevine L1 which means, you will be able to watch FHD+ content on OTA platforms.

The display is also bright enough to use outdoors and it does go very low if you want to use it at night.
OnePlus has also added HDR10+ support and it does work in almost all the OTT apps, so you will be able to watch HDR content too.
By the way, the device has a curved display which I’m not a big fan of but if you like that kind of display then you will be more than happy with it.
OnePlus has done a great job on the display and I don’t think anyone will complain about the quality. Now, let’s talk about the cameras because that’s where you might complain.
Cameras
OnePlus has gone with the same cameras setup as OnePlus 9 Pro except for the ultra-wide lens.
The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G comes with a 48 MP Sony IMX789 Sensor which has OIS support, there is also an 8MP 3x optical telephoto lens and a new 50MP ultra-wide lens while on the front it has a 32MP selfie shooter.
The rear cameras can shoot videos at 8k@24fps, 4k@30/60fps, and 1080p@30/60fps. The front can shoot at only 10802p@30fps which is a huge letdown as this is a premium smartphone and not a budget one.
We have the same primary sensor from last-gen, so there won’t be any kind of issue when taking videos, the footage will come out stable even with 4k resolution too. Now of course when it comes to 8k, the footage doesn’t come out smooth, there is some shakiness here and there.
So to get the best possible videos, make sure you stick with 4k, or to get even better results 1080p@60fps will be a good option.

When it comes to good lighting or daylight, the videos come out with good details when it comes to low light, it loses out on some details and this can be easily fixed with OTA updates.
Again, as I have said, don’t ever buy any tech product on future promises.
Now, I don’t want to talk much about the front camera because OnePlus has just ignored the front camera, they have just added the same sensor with the same quality, didn’t change a bit.
In short, don’t get your hope upon a 32MP front camera.
That 48 MP Sony IMX789 Sensor takes some good images, and the details come out well, it’s the same as the OnePlus 9 Pro 5G. So this can’t be called, the best image because its the same as last-gen
Nevertheless, OnePlus has also added a new 50MP ultra-wide lens which gives about 150-degree wide-angle shots. Now, the problem with this new Samsung sensor is the details under the low light.
The sensor tries to over-expose the images at night and that’s where the thing gets a little bit messy. Again, this can be solved with an OTA update but hey, take it as it is.
By the way, under good lights, the ultra-wide shots come very well, and the details are also great, the only issue is with night ultra-wide shots.
Coming to an 8MP telephoto lens, it can do about 3x optical zoom which is great and this is also the same as OnePlus 9 Pro 5G. The details and colors will be the same.
Of course, as this is a OnePlus smartphone. the colors will pop out a little but it’s not too much.
Overall, for the price of Rs 66999, OnePlus needs to work on the cameras to justify the 67k price tag.
Now, for those who want better cameras, those can consider the iPhone 12 or even Galaxy S21 FE 5G but if you want a smartphone at a lower price tag then there is no better option than the Motorola Edge 30 Pro 5G which is available at 50k and it has Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
Performance
Now, we have seen, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor in quite of few smartphones, and all the smartphones are well, so performance won’t be a huge problem. OnePlus has also used the same Snapdragon 8 gen 1 SoC, so don’t worry about the speed.
Here comes the key part, the device runs on OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12. Now, here me out, the OS is called OxygenOS but it has tons of ColorOS features, so this can’t be called, the true Oxygen OS which OnePlus use to offer.
OnePlus is not calling this ColorOS but you will see the presence of ColorOS in the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G.
By the way, I’m not saying, the OS is slow, it’s as fast as it can get. What I’m saying is, this is not the same OxygenSO that we use to use.

OnePlus has also added 9 5G bands which will be good enough to use the 5G network whenever it launches in India.
That was it, the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 is a powerful processor and it will give the best possible performance while the OxygenOS is fast and smooth as it was.
Audio Quality
Yes, it has a stereo speaker and it’s great, no complaints. There is also a secondary noise cancellation microphone too which helps a lot in calling.
Of course, the device also has Carrier Aggregation Support.
Now, if you’re that person who uses wired earphones then you have to buy a type-C to 3.5mm dongle because the phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack.
Overall, there won’t be any kind of issue with calling as well as audio, Samsung has done a great job this time.
Battery Life
For power, OnePlus has added a 5,000mAh battery which supports 80W wired charging support and 50W wireless charging support. Yes, the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G does come with an 80W charger while you have to buy a 50W wireless adaptor from OnePlus.
That 5,000 mAh battery will last for a day but in the end, it will depend on how you use the smartphone in day-to-day life. Again, even if you kill the battery, that 80W charger will make everything normal.
By the way, an 80W charger will take about 31 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%.

Now, if you’re okay with Apple then do consider the iPhone 12 or even 13 but if you want an Android smartphone then Galaxy S22 or even Motorola Edge 30 Pro 5G would be a good option.
