Now, the OnePlus Nord starts from Rs 24,999 for 6GB of Ram and 64GB storage while 8GB of Ram and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 27,999 but if you want more Ram and storage then there is a 12GB + 256GB version which is priced at Rs 29,999 and it’s sold via Amazon India website.

OnePlus Nord and Pixel 4A: Display and Build Quality

Pixel 4a comes with 5.81 inches FHD+ OLED display and it has 60Hz screen refresh rate. This time there is no huge display notch, Google went with a single pouch hole which has a 16MP selfie shooter. Also, this is a compact smartphone, so for those people who like a small device, you guys gonna love this phone.

As of now, I haven’t had any problem with the display or even in build quality, Google has done a good job this time. One thing to note here, the phone has a Glass front (Gorilla Glass 3), Plastic back, and Plastic Frame. I mean at 30k plastic build is not acceptable, metal would have been great but this is what it is.

Talking OnePlus Nord, it has 6.44 inches FHD+ AMOLED Display and this one comes with a 90Hz screen refresh rate while OnePlus has used Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. So the build quality is better than Pixel 4a, and even the display is better than Pixel 4a. OnePlus Nord has a dual selfie camera which means the punch hole is a little bit bigger than Pixel 4a but that ultra-wide lens makes it all even.

Overall, OnePlus Nord wins this round with a huge margin.

OnePlus Nord and Pixel 4A: Performance and Software

Things get a little bit tricky here. OnePlus Nord has an all-new Snapdragon 750G which has 5G support and it’s running on Oxygen OS 11-based on Android 11 while Pixel 4A is powered by good-old Snapdragon 730G which has 4G only. Both the processors are different but there is no huge difference in performance.

It’s not like OnePlus Nord will give better performance, Both phones will give almost similar performance but things get tricky when you see 5G on OnePlus Nord. This is the only difference between these two devices.

Overall, This round also goes OnePlus Nord, just because of 5G.

OnePlus Nord and Pixel 4A: Cameras

Hear me out, Pixel 4A has only a single 12MP rear camera sensor while OnePlus Nord has a 48 MP Primary (Sony IMX568), 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro sensor, and 5MP depth sensor, and still, Pixel 4A takes ways to batter images then OnePlus Nord.

Things to note, more cameras doesn’t mean better images quality, company needs to optimize the cameras which OnePlus didn’t do it properly. Both the phones can shoot videos in 4k@30fps, so there is nothing new to compare.

OnePlus Nord also takes some good images but it’s not good as Pixel 4A, if you want more natural colors then Pixel 4A is way to go but if you want whites or over-saturated colors then OnePlus Nord is a better option. These days people don’t like natural colours and that’s why they like OnePlus or even Xiaomi cameras.

I don’t want to say, how good Pixel 4A cameras are because if I start talking, it will be soo long. So overall, if you want the best camera under 30k and if you don’t care about ultra-wide lenses then don’t look for anything else, just grab the Pixel 4A without any doubt.

OnePlus Nord and Pixel 4A: Battery and Audio Quality

For example, the call quality is awesome on this one, the speaker is also good. Keep in mind, that Google has an integrated microphone inside the front glass yet its works like a charm. In short, those little-little thing makes Pixel 4A a good smartphone, even if the doesn’t have the best build quality but everything else on this phone is just beyond amazing.

OnePlus Nord only has a single bottom-firing speaker and also, and the phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack. You can see, that OnePlus has saved some money on Audio Quality. The one bottom-firing speaker is loud but if you have used a stereo speaker then you will see the difference. Overall, I would say, the sound quality is not that bad and also not that good, the phone has an average kind of sound.

The OnePlus Nord has 4,115 mAh non-removable with Warp Charge 30T fast charging support. So the battery is not that huge as compared to some other budget smartphones but you’re also getting a 30W charger in the box, so this will balance the battery.

Pixel 4A doesn’t have a massive battery like Galaxy M51 but still, the phone lasted for the good day. Now, if you’re a heavy user then it may end up dead at about 5 PM. Overall, Google could have provided a 4,000 mAh battery but this is what we have to sacrifice to get the best cameras.

Here we go “the battery life depends on your phone use if you every day play games for 6 hours then you need to charge a phone every 6 hours but if you’re like me and don’t use the phone very often then it will last for a day.”

OnePlus Nord and Pixel 4A: Conclusion

If you want the best cameras then Pixel 4A is the best choice but if you want overall value for money device then OnePlus Nord is way to go. There is nothing to worry about performance, both the phones will give almost similar performance.

As I have said, OnePlus Nord is the best phone to get below 30k because it has fast charging support, the best display quality, great battery life, solid build, it also has 5G but it has an average camera which you have to deal with, everything else on OnePlus Nord is way better than Pixel 4A.

So OnePlus Nord is the winner.
