The phone has powerful Snapdragon 870 SoC, a top-class camera setup, fast charging support, 5G connectivity, and good battery life. solid build quality, and it’s priced at ₹37,999 in India. All in all, it’s value for money device and worth every single penny.

In short, if your budget is under 40k then Vivo X60 is the best option to go with, it’s a better choice as compared to the OnePlus 9R. Now, if you want to know more about Vivo X60 then let’s go step by step and see what Vivo is offering at 38k.
Display Quality
Vivo X60 comes with 6.56 inches 120Hz AMOLED display. Vivo has used a good quality display here and there is no shutter lag when you use a 120Hz refresh rate because I have seen some of the phones with a 120Hz refresh rate but they don’t give the best performance but that’s not the case with Vivo X60.
Also, this is an AMOLED display that means Vivo has added an in-display fingerprint sensor which works the best and I haven’t noticed a delay while unlocking the phone. By the way, you can also use your face to unlock your phone.
The display is also bright enough to use outdoors, even you can watch movies or YouTube Videos outside of your home. For those who are wondering, the phone does have Widevine L1 support that means you can watch FHD+ content on OTT platforms.
Talking about build quality, Vivo has used Corning gorilla glass 6 on both the side which will give premium vibe but it has a plastic frame which could have been aluminium.
All in all, I don’t think you will face any kind of problem while playing games or watching movies. One thing I will say, make sure to use a case cover because, the phone has a plastic frame, so it can break.
Performance
The Vivo X60 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset which is built on 7nm architecture while it’s running on Funtouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11. The phone has only two 5G which includes n77/n78.
By the way, for those who don’t know, Snapdragon 870 is an overclocked version of Snapdragon 865. So there is no huge difference between 870 or 865 SoC.
That doesn’t mean, Snapdragon 870 is a bad processor. This is by far the best chipset you can get under Rs 40,000 in India, so there won’t be any kind of problem while playing games or scrolling through apps.
Also, the chipset can handle that 120Hz refresh rate without any problem.

Software: No so FUN
As I said, the Vivo X60 Funtouch running on OS 11.1 based on Android 11. Now, this is a new UI from Vivo, it’s not that complicated to use like before but still, it’s not like Oxygen OS or stock UI. Vivo has combined Oxygen OS, OneUI and Stock UI and made a new Fontouch OS.
Of course, the phone comes with tons of pre-installed apps from which you can uninstall third-party apps but you can’t uninstall the Vivo in-house application which is kind of annoying because I don’t think anyone will use those apps.
By the way, there are some apps from Vivo which won’t let you turned off notifications. For example, Vivo.com app, here you have to see a notification when Vivo wants you to see it.
The UI is a personal preference, so one user will like it and one will hate it. Here you have to decide whether you want Funtouch OS in your smartphone or not?
If I keep everything aside and just focus on performance then I would say, Vivo has done a good job with UI. I haven’t seen any kind of lag or frame drop.
Cameras
The Vivo X60 comes with a 48MP primary sensor, 13MP ultra-wide lens, 13MP telephoto lens while there 32MP selfie shooter. The rear cameras can shoot videos in 1080p@60fps & 4k@60fps while the front can shoot up to 1080p@30fps.
It also has OIS built-in, so when you’re taking videos, the footage won’t be turned out to be shaky.
Vivo has added all the necessary features needed in a smartphone including, NightMode, astrophotography mode, macro mode, panorama mode, stabilization mode.
The key highlighted feature of Vivo X60 is night photography, I mean, just look at images down below. I mean, the details you get at night is just amazing.
The Vivography is also the same as images quality, the phone gives the best quality video at night too. Also, you can use all three lenses when you’re shooting a video.
For example, if you’re shooting a video and if you need an ultra-wide shot then you don’t have to shoot that video again, you can just click on the ultra-wide icon and you are good to go. Now, these are the best feature for those who take lots of videos with a smartphone.
Everyone knows, if the phone does well at night then it will be better in daylight conditions and that’s the case with Vivo X60. The phone takes good quality images in daylight too.
Talking about the ultra-wide lens, Vivo has done a good job with ultra-wide because you can shoot video with ultra-wide and the video quality is also good. All in all, this is by far the best ultra-wide lens you can get below 40k in India and it has better ultra-wide the OnePlus 9R.
Now, the phone also has a 13MP telephoto lens. I don’t use telephoto lens much but for those who use, this will be the best because most of the smartphone just comes with primary lens + ultra-wide & depth +macro. In short, a telephoto lens is good on this one.
In short, Vivo X60 has the best camera setup under ₹40,000 in India and as I said, it has better cameras than the OnePlus 9R. So don’t think much about cameras, it’s the best available in the market at this movement.

Audio Quality
This is where things get tricky, the Vivo X60 has only a single bottom-firing speaker which is not that great. For example, if you’re in a public place and you’re watching YouTube Video then you won’t able see hear audio properly, at the end you have to use earphone which comes with the box.
By the way, the phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm Audio jack but Vivo has added Type-C to 3.5mm audio dongle and earphones in the box.
Talking about, call quality, here I didn’t notice any problem. I had made some calls with my Airtel number and Vodafone. So yes, there won’t be any problem while taking calls.
In short, the audio quality is not that great due to the single bottom-firing speaker.
Battery Life
The Vivo X60 comes with a 4,300 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. Yes, it has a small battery and that 120Hz refresh rate will consume more power that said, the battery life on Vivo X60 is not what it should have been.
The phone will last for a day if you’re a casual user but if you’re a power user then you have to charge Vivo X60 two times in a day but that 30W charger will make things easy for you.
As I said many times, the battery life depends on the user by user, if you don’t use the phone for too long then you will get a better battery but if you play games all day then you have to charge the phone every day.
Competition
OnePlus 9R is a good option for those who don’t like Funtouch OS but keep in mind, OnePlus 9R doesn’t have the best cameras. So when you buy OnePlus 9R over Vivo X60, you will get a better build, 65W fast charging, clean UI, stereo speakers but you will lose out on cameras.
