Samsung Galaxy F22 Review with Pros and Cons – Mixed Feelings?

Samsung Galaxy F22 Review

Samsung is back with another budget-centric smartphone and this time, it’s a good device but not for everyone.

The Galaxy F22 is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, it’s running on OneUI Core 3.1-based on Android 11, features a 48MP quad cameras setup, 6.40-inches 90Hz AMOLED display, massive 6000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, and priced at Rs 12,499 in India

Samsung Galaxy F22 does have its Pros and Cons and as I have said it is built for everyone, so let’s review the Galaxy F22 and see, it is worth paying Rs 12,499 for Galaxy F22.

Samsung Galaxy F22 Review

Samsung Galaxy F22 would have been the best smartphone but because of its processor and display, the same can’t be said now. The device is priced at Rs 12,499 in India and at this price, we have other better options. In short, Galaxy F22 is for those users who wanted to buy only a Samsung phone, if you’re that user then Galaxy F22 is the best option available for Rs 12,499 in India.

What’s This, Newsletter

As I have said, Galaxy F22 is not for everyone but still, if you’re interested in this phone then let’s jump into the Review of Galaxy F22 and see, what’s good and bad in this device.

Display and Build Quality

The Samsung Galaxy F22 comes with a 6.40-inches HD+ AMOLED display and this is a 90Hz refresh rate display panel. For those who don’t know, not many brands provided AMOLED 90Hz display at 12k but also, not many brands provided HD+ display at 12k price tag.

Talking about display quality, Samsung has used good quality display, so there won’t be any kind of problem but yes, you won’t able to watch FHD+ content on OTT or any other platform.

If HD+ display is good enough for you then Galaxy F22 would be a good option but if no then do take look at Redmi Note 10 or 10s.

Coming to build, this is a budget smartphone, it has a Glass front, plastic frame, plastic back. In short, Galaxy F22 is made out of plastic and also, everyone will use cover cases, so this won’t be a huge problem for everyone.

Cameras

No matter what Samsung says, the Samsung Galaxy F22 doesn’t have the best camera setup under Rs 15,000 price. Also, it doesn’t have a bad camera setup, so it will be good enough if you want to gift, Galaxy F22 to your Father or Mother.

The Galaxy F22 comes with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth + 2MP macro sensor while there is a 13MP selfie shooter. Both the rear and front cameras can shoot videos up to 1080p@30fps.

The device doesn’t have OIS or EIS support but still, videos come very well.

Let me make one thing very clear, those 2MP+2MP sensors are just added to say, Galaxy F22 has a Quad camera setup but in real life, those 2MP+2MP sensors won’t make any difference. So just forget that Galaxy F22 has a quad-camera setup, it dual-camera device.

Coming to 8MP ultra-wide lens, it takes good quality images in daylight but when it comes to night then it loses out on details and it tries to overexpose the images. Also, this is a Samsung budget smartphone, so don’t expect too much.

The same can be said for the 48MP primary sensor too. In short, the device has a good camera but not the best at the 12k price tag. Consider as the best camera in budget Samsung phone, not as best camera in a budget smartphone.

13MP Selfie shooter also takes some good images but it far away from natural colors, so if you like to use a filter then you won’t have to use it anymore. In short, the front camera is not very bad.

Overall, if you wanted the best cameras in a budget smartphone then this is it, you got what you’re looking for but if you the best camera in a budget smartphone, just skip the Galaxy F22 and take look at Redmi Note 10s or 10 or RealMe Narzo 30 5G.

Performance

I’m not saying much here because we have seen MediaTek Helio G80 in many budget smartphones or should I say, affordable smartphones.

In short, if you want to play games like COD mobile or battleground mobile India then you can play at low graphic and it will be playable.

For casual use, like social media apps, watching videos on YouTube, reading articles on topbestinINDIA.com, you won’t face any problems but if you want powerful performance then you will be disappointed after buying Galaxy F22.

By the way, Galaxy F22 is running on OneUI Core 3.1-based on Android 11. This is a downgraded version of OneUI 3.1 but every good as it is optimized for a budget smartphone, you can call this, plus point of Galaxy F22.

Battery and Audio Quality

Samsung Galaxy F22 comes with a Massive 6,000 mAh battery and it supports 25W fast charging but Samsung had included 15W charging in the box, so if you to charge Galaxy F22 faster then you have to buy a 25W charger separately.

The device will last for two because it has a larger 6,000 mAh battery and HD+ display. Also, it has MediaTek Helio G80 Processor which means you won’t play games for a long time, so here also, you will save battery.

Also, if you’re a casual user, it can last for three days too.

Coming to audio quality, the Galaxy F22 has single bottom-firing speakers and a second noise-canceling microphone at the top. The bottom speaker is kind of ok-ok, considering the price tag, can’t complain.

Conclusion: Buy Or Not?

I think you already know but still, if you want to buy Samsung branded phone and don’t want to even look at other devices then you can just close your eyes and order a Galaxy F22 on Flipkart right now but if want value for money device then clicks here to see top best mobile phone under Rs 15,000 in India.

Galaxy F22 Advantages

Galaxy F22 has a 90Hz AMOLED display which is by far the best display you can get on a budget smartphone, it also has support for 25W charging while it comes with a massive 6000 mAh battery. It running on OneUI Core 3.1 UI which bridges features like Samsung Pay and Knox security.

Galaxy F22 Disadvantages

While it has a 90Hz AMOLED display but its HD display, Samsung has included only 15W charging in the box while the phone supports 25W fast charging. The device is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 which is a good SoC but at Rs 12,499, this is not the best while the phone is made out of plastic.
