Reasons to Buy OnePlus 10T 5G

Now, it’s not like the OnePlus 10T 5G is a bad smartphone, it does have some features that might attract some uses, so let’s some of the reasons to buy the OnePlus 10T 5G

1. Display

The OnePlus 10T 5G comes with a 6.70-inches 120Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels while its 10-bit HDR10+ ready panel with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.

The device has a pick brightness of 950 nits which means, there won’t be any kind of while using the smartphone outdoors. There is also, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and it works fine as usual.

The Widevine L1 support will let you watch FDH+ content on OTT apps.

Overall, the OnePlus has used a good quality panel, so whether you want to play games or watch movies, you won’t face any kind of problems.

2. Performance

We have recently seen the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in IQOO 9T 5G and this device performed better than I expected, in short, the OnePlus 10T 5G will provide the best possible performance.

The last gen processor was throttling and heating a lot because it was manufactured by Samsung, so this time, Qualcomm canceled the Samsung contract and went back with TSMC.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is new and improved SoC, so it won’t give you hard time.

3. Speakers

The OnePlus 10T 5G comes with dual speakers and they’re also good too. Again, you will be more than happy with its quality.

I would have loved to see, a 3.5mm Audio Jack but again, can’t expect the same when the phone is priced at 50k.

All in all, the speakers are loud and clean and there is no issue with calling too.

4. Fast Charging

This might be the selling point of the OnePlus 10T 5G…

The OnePlus 10T 5G comes with a 4,800 mAh battery with 150W wired fast charging support which will charge the device from 1% to 100% in 17 Minutes.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is a battery-efficient processor which means the battery will last for a day. Also, that 150W fast charging helps a lot but keep in mind, always keep that charge and cable with you, other chargers won’t able to charge the OnePlus 10T 5G at 150W.

5. OS

I use to like OxygenOS but now, they have added some of the ColorOS features, for some reason, I’m not liking the new OxgyenOS. For now, OnePlus didn’t add bloatware but wait for some, it will happen.

Now, this is all me, your take on the new OxygenOS might be different.

OxygenOS doesn’t have ads in the UI like ColorOS which is still a good thing. Also, the OS is smooth as it was before too.

Reasons to Not Buy OnePlus 10T 5G

We don’t have a perfect device yet and the same applies to the OnePlus 10T 5G, so you will have to give up on one or two features to get one or two features, so let’s see some of the reasons to like one plus 10T 5G

1. Camera

The OnePlus 10T 5G comes with a 50MP primary sensor with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor while there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.

The rear cameras can shoot videos at 1080p@30/60fps and 4k@30/60fps while the front can shoot at only 1080p@30fps.

The 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor is well-tested and we have seen this sensor in many smartphones even the recently launched Nothing Phone (1) also had the same sensor and this phone is priced at Rs 31,999.

Overall, the OnePlus 10T 5G cameras don’t justify the Rs 49999 price tag, as I have said, you can get the same camera quality on a 30k smartphone too, even some of the 30k smartphones take better images than OnePus 10T 5G.

I mean, a 2MP sensor on a 50k smartphone doesn’t feel good at all.

If you’re a fan of OnePlus and wanted to buy a new OnePlus device then it’s time to say good By to OnePlus unless and until you can’t live without it.

2. Build

Okay, this is a 50k smartphone and yet, OnePlus has used a plastic frame. The back has Gorilla Glass 5 and the same has been used on the front side.

3. No Wireless Charging

There is no support for wireless charging. I know, most Indian users don’t use wireless charging but it’s good if it’s there for those users who use it because this is a 50k smartphone and not 20k.

4. No 3.5 Audio Jack and SD-Card

OnePlus doesn’t provide the 3.5mm Audio jack on most of their smartphone but as they have removed the alert slider, so it would have been better if they have added a 3.55mm Audio jack.

The same applies to the SD-card slot, they have never added it on any of their smartphones but again, this is not the original OnePlus, it’s OPPO.

5. Price

The OnePlus 10T 5G is a bad smartphone, the only bad thing about this device is its pricing. This would have been the best smartphone at Rs 40000 price tag but again, it’s OnePlus after all, so can’t expect that kind of pricing now?

In short, if you had a love for OnePlus then I think, it’s time for a breakup because you’re not getting the same value.

Verdict

If you ask me, I don’t recommend the OnePlus 10T 5G but still, we have lots of OnePlus fans and to those fans…

This is not the OnePlus you use to know, it might give you a OnePlus vibe but it’s not, it’s an OPPO smartphone.
