Google Pixel 7

After years of waiting, Google launches new series of smartphones in India that too is at a good price. So let’s see whether the Pixel 7 is worth buying at Rs 59,999 or not.

The Google Pixel 7 is priced at Rs 59,999 for 8GB of Ram and 128GB storage in India while the same variant is available at 499 USD (Rs 49,999) in the USA. The device comes in Obsidian Black, Snow, and Lemongrass color options, and it’s solid via Flipkart.

By the way, if you have an HDFC Credit card then you can get Rs 10,000 off and the effective price of the Pixel 7 will come down to Rs 49,999 (same as the USA). The device will be available from 12th October 2022 via Flipkart at noon.

Is it Worth Buying Google Pixel 7?

Yes, definitely the Google Pixel 7 is worth buying because it has the best cameras, solid build, pure Android experience, exclusive Android features, 5 years of security updates, a powerful next-gen processor, and it’s available at resealable compared to the USA.

You may be wondering, why Google is charging extra Rs 10000 to Indian users.

So Google is yet to manufacture the Pixel Lineup in India which means, Google is importing the Pixel 7 Series from the outside, so that’s one reason why the Pixel 7 is priced at Rs 10,000 higher compared to the USA.

Cameras

We don’t have to talk about the cameras because you won’t get better cameras like this for under Rs 60,000 in India, that’s the statement.

It has a 50MP primary sensor +12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10.8MP selfie shooter on the front. Both the front and rear cameras can shoot videos at 4@30/60fps & 1080p@30/60fps.

Performance

With the new Google Tenser G2, Google has implemented some AI features with the stock camera app that can shoot cinematic video and much more which you won’t find in any other Android smartphone very soon.

The new G2 chip is made by Samsung, so don’t expect the performance to be like Snapdragon 8 Plus gen 1 but it will be good enough for day-to-day usage and a bit of gaming.

Earlier, Google used the Exynos 2100 but they named it Google Tenser G1, so we don’t know yet, which Exynos processor they’re using it. The Pixel 7 runs on Android 13 and it will get 5 years of security updates while this will be one of the pixel devices to get the latest Android OS updates.

Display and Build

The device also has a 90Hz 6.3-inch OLED FHD+ display along with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It’s a solid display, so you don’t have to worry about it, now, it doesn’t have the symmetrical bezel but still, it doesn’t look bad.

The build quality is solid too, the front and rear are protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus while the frame and camera frame are made from aluminum (its matt finish).

Battery

There is also a 4,355mAh battery with 30W wired and 20W wireless charging support and no, the charger is not supplied in the box, you have to buy it separately or use whatever you have at home.

Verdict

The review is in the work, so wait for that.

Still, if you can’t wait for that then you can consider buying the Pixel 7, you won’t be disappointed at all but keep in mind, this is not made for heavy gaming, the chipset is new but it’s not as powerful as Snapdragon 8 Plus gen 1.

Till then if you have any kind of questions then do let me know in the comment, and I will cover all of them in full review…
