RealMe Watch 3 Review

Yes, the RealMe Watch 3 is worth buying because it offers smooth software support, Bluetooth calling, solid heart rate tracking, SpoO2 monitoring, the Rectangle Curved design, looks great in the hands, and on top of that, the smartwatch is priced at Rs 3,499 which is a good price for what RealMe is offering.

Now, as I have said many times that when you get something new, you will lose out on one or two features, and in the case of RealMe Watch 3, you will miss out on build quality.

The smartwatch has a plastic build which doesn’t give you that premium feeling along with that, the speaker quality is decent but the microphone is great, it’s the best compared to any other smartwatch under Rs 4000.

The software is fluid too, there are no frame drops or lag while using it. The health tracking feature also works great, the results are more accurate compared to last gen RealMe watch 2.

Overall, for the price of Rs 3499, the RealMe Watch 3 is worth buying, it does have some flaws but still, it does offer value.

Display

The RealMe Watch 3 comes with 1.80-inches TFT Rectangle display with a resolution of 240 x 286 Pixels with a pick brightness of 500 nits.

I have said this line on WearablesDrop,

I have recently seen that when a budget smartwatch has an AMOLED display then it won’t have Bluetooth calling and if the watch has the TFT panel then the watch will have Bluetooth calling feature, and in the case of the RealMe Watch 3, it has the TFT panel.

So you can assume that the RealMe Watch 3 has Bluetooth calling…

Now, just like everyone else, I would have loved to see, the AMOLED display but again, this is Rs 3,499 smartwatch, in short, you won’t get everything in budget smartwatches.

By the way, the display quality is great, the 500 nits brightness helps a lot while using the smartwatch outdoors. The screen is also fluid because of the improved watch UI.

In short, there won’t be any frame drop or lag while navigating the watch UI.

Design, Comfort, and Build

Another cost-cutting,

I know, the watch looks great in the images but it doesn’t look great in real life because the watch is made out of plastic.

Now, I don’t have any issues with the plastic but if you wanted a premium feeling then you will be disappointed with this smartwatch. By the way, it’s not like, RealMe has used cheap plastic but the plastic is plastic and it will feel cheap.

Coming to the comfort,

The RealMe Watch 3 supports 22mm strep while with strep, it has 40 grams of weight. So yes, the watch is lightweight because of the plastic build.

The default strap is also good, your skin won’t hurt even after wearing the watch for days. By the way, the watch is available in Black and has Great color options, so if you don’t like the default strap then you can order any other 22mm strap from amazon and it will fit perfectly.

Now, the design is subjective, so if you like Rectangle design then you will adore this smartwatch but if you wanted a round design then this is not the best option for you.

Overall, the RealMe Watch 3 is comfortable to wear, your hands won’t hurt even if you wear it all day, all night…

RealMe Link Application

After the Zepp application, the RealMe Link app is my second favorite fitness app. I’m not comparing this app with WearOS because we don’t have WearOS watches under 5k (as of now).

By the way, you will have to download the RealMe Link from the app store or play store to use the smartwatch. One thing to note, the microphone and the speaker don’t work the best with iPhones, I don’t know the reason behind it.

Talking about the app, it has all the features that a smartwatch should have. You will be able to see, the battery percentage, steps, calories, sleep tracking, and heart rate graph.

Also, if you run a lot then you can also use your smartphone GPS which is added to the Realme Link app. Again, the RealMe Watch 3 doesn’t have built-in GPS.

The RealMe Link app is well-organized and you won’t face any kind of problem while using it. By the way, the RealMe Link app will only work on iOS 11+ & Android 5.1+ devices.

Speaker and Microphone

I know you wanted to know about the speaker and microphone quality, so here you go…

For some reason, the microphone is great but the same can’t be said for the speaker.

Now, if you’re at home or somewhere else where there is no noise then you will be able to hear someone on call but if you’re in a crowded place then it will get hard to hear someone because the speaker doesn’t go very loud.

In the same way, the microphone quality is great, you won’t have to keep your hand close to your mouth, just do your normal tasks and another person on call will be able to hear you clearly.

Now, if this is a software issue then I will let you know after two or three updates but if not then, don’t buy this watch for calling purposes.

For calling, do take look at the newly launched Noise Colorfit Pro 4.

By the way, the RealMe Watch 3 doesn’t have SIM Card support, it relies on Bluetooth. In short, keep your smartphone with the smartwatch all the time to use the calling feature.

Accuracy

RealMe Watch 3 Features

I was a bit shocked when I show the results, the heart rate and SpO2 sensors work the best with this smartwatch, I don’t know what RealMe has done this time but it works great.

By the way, if you wanted a smartwatch for fitness tracking then always go with Amazfit Smartwatches.

The raise-to-wake feature also works great and you will be able to disable and enable the feature directly from the smartwatch, you won’t have open the app for it.

RealMe has also added all the necessary features like 100 watch faces, 110-built-in sports Modes, a Female cycle, a Drinking Reminder, an Activity Tracker, Heart Rate Monitor, SpO2, and Stress Monitoring too.

To control everything, we have the RealMe Link App which is available both on iOS as well as on Android.

The SpO2 sensor also works the best, it doesn’t feel gimmicky and the same can be said for the heart rate monitoring too.

The SPO2 CLIP machine gives accurate data but at the same time, the watch showed an error margin of around 5% which isn’t very bad as the RealMe Watch 3 is only priced at Rs 3,499.

Let’s say, if the smartwatch is showing 110 footsteps then it would be 120, so keep the error margin around 5%.

By the way, the sleep monitoring data is not that great, so don’t trust this watch at all, it’s good that RealMe has added but still, the sleep monitoring needs to be fixed. I will let you know after some time, how it performs.

Overall, now, if you’re a fitness freak then you should go with Amazfit but if you’re not then you will be more than happy with the RealMe Watch 3.

Battery Life

The battery life won’t be as good as any other budget smartwatch because it has a calling feature and it will consume more battery.

RealMe has also promised 7-days of battery life but that won’t happen in Real Life.

If you use all the features from SpO2, heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking then expect the battery life to be around 2 to 3 days battery life.

Now, if you don’t use all the features then you will get battery life to be around 5 to 7 days.

Of course, battery life will depend on every user and how they use the smartwatch. So take these numbers to get an idea about the battery.

Verdict

The RealMe Watch 3 is a balanced smartwatch, it has everything but it doesn’t work the best, it’s a good watch for the price of Rs 3,499.

It’s a green light from my side, you can consider buying the RealMe Watch 3 but if don’t care about the calling feature then do consider the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro (read review) which is available at Rs 3999 but it will give more accurate fitness, SpO2, or even heart rate data.

Now, if you ask me I don’t like to talk to someone on the smartwatch and I also don’t like TFT panels.

In short, the RealMe Watch 3 is not for me, I would rather go with Amazfit GTS 2 Mini which is available at Rs 5999 and has the best AMOLED display and it also looks good too.

In the end, you have to ask yourself, which features do you want the most? if the answer is Bluetooth calling then yes, go with RealMe Watch 3 and not then skip it…

Still, if you have any kind of questions then do let me know in the comments, I would love to help you out, see you there…
