What’s new in RealMe XT
For the first time RealMe has used glass built in any realme device, so yes RealMe XT becomes Realme’s first smartphone that has glass unibody. For protection, RealMe has used corning gorilla glass 5 on both sides, so there is nothing to worry about build quality.
RealMe XT is the world’s first smartphone with a 64-megapixel camera, by the way, that doesn’t mean it will give you best performance. More pixels menas clear images, but that doesn’t mean it will give you better images then OnePlus, iPhones or Pixels.
Right now if you see, most of the mobile companies are implementing 48 MP or 64 MP camera on their smartphone, and it’s only happening in the budget price range. I think you got my point, they are doing it only for marketing, most of the people are buying a smartphone because of more megapixel, they are not seeing camera quality.
By the way, I’m not saying RealMe XT has bad camera setup, there is no doubt, if a smartphone has 64 MP then obviously it will give better details then 48 MP or 12 MP camera sensor. But don’t expect camera quality like iPhones, Pixels device or OnePlus.
This is what most of the companies are doing it in especially the budget price range.
The RealMe XT is running on OPPO’s Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 (pie), the Color OS also has built-in Dark mode.
Is it worth buying RealMe XT?
As I have said RealMe XT powered by 10 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE chipset with Adreno 616 GPU. We have already seen Snapdragon 712 Soc in many devices including RealMe 5 Pro and all those phones are performing great. So there is nothing to worry about performance.
As you all know, I’m not a big fan of Color OS, so this one depends on your personal preference.
I think we have discussed the camera quite well, but quickly, the phone has a great camera setup and especially in the budget price range, you are getting the best implementation.
Now the question is should you buy RealMe XT or not?
For those who don’t know, Redmi Note 8 Pro also has the Quad 64 MP camera setup and this too will be priced below 15K. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is powered by Mediatek Helio G90T, by the way, Helio G90T is a very powerfull chipset, yes it’s better than Snapdragon 730G.
Now if you can’t wait for Redmi Note 8 Pro, then RealMe XT is the best choice but if you can wait for Redmi Note 8 Pro then just wait for a month, you will get a better smartphone with better specifications.
