RealMe launched two new smartphones under X7 Series from which one is overpriced while the second one is value for money device. Today, I’m about to review a second smartphone which is ReaMe X7 5G, so let’s see, whether you should spend Rs 19,999 on a non-Pro version or not.
The RealMe X7 is powered by all-new MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G SoC, triple rear camera setup, 5G support, 50W fast charging support, AMOLED display, 6GB of Ram, new design, and it’s priced at Rs 19,999 in India which is a good price for what RealMe is offering.
RealMe X7 Price in India
RealMe X7 price in India starts from Rs 19,999 for 6GB of Ram and 128GB storage while 8GB Ram + 128GB Storage variant is priced at Rs 21,999. It’s available in Nebula and Space Silver color options. The first sale starts on 12th February 2021 at noon via Flipkart and RealMe India website.

Here, you have to choose from a 120Hz LCD display and a 60Hz AMOLED display. Now, RealMe X7 comes with 6.40 inches FHD+ AMOLED Display and this is 60Hz penal. On the other hand, we also have Mi 10i 5G which is priced at 21k and it has a 120Hz LCD display, like I said, choose between high refresh rate and AMOLED.
Coming back to RealMe X7 5G, RealMe has used good quality display and I don’t think, you will face any problems while playing games or watching movies. The display brightness is 600 nits that mean, the screen is visible under the sunlight.
To protect the phone, RealMe has used Gorilla Glass 5 on the front side and there is plastic on the back of RealMe X7 5G. In short, build quality is not that great but hey, you can use cover case and most of the people will use case, whether the phone has plastic or metal back.
By the way, this is not near display quality as Samsung panel. So don’t compare this display with Galaxy M51. Considering the price tag, RealMe should have given 90Hz AMOLED display.
Overall, this is decent display quality, it’s not the best or nor the worst.

RealMe X7 5G is the first phone to feature MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G SoC and this is slightly better processor then MediaTek Helio G95. That said, the phone can handle almost every single game without any problem, whether you want to play COD Mobile or Asphalt 9, the chipset will give best posiable result.
Keep in mind, this is 60Hz display, the phone won’t feel as smooth has 90Hz or 120Hz.
Now when I review any anything, I have to mention it’s competition and here to compete with RealMe X7 5G, we have Mi 10i 5G.
I haven’t noticed a huge performance gap between Mi 10i 5G or RealMe X7 5G. That said, there won’t be any problem on any of smartphone.

One thing I have to say here, Mi 10i 5G performed slightly batter in speed test, so if you’re someone who want better performance at 20k then I think Mi 10i 5G would be better option. By the way, it wasn’t huge difference but going by the data, Mi 10i 5G did good job.
Back to RealMe X7, the phone has a good processor and it’s running on RealMe UI 2.0-based on Android 10 which is well optimized OS, so you won’t face any kind of problem.

Let me make this simple for you, Mi 10i 5G will give better image quality then RealMe X7 5G, so if you want better cameras then just go with Mi 10i 5G. Now, let’s talk about RealMe X7 5G.
The RealMe X7 has 64MP triple rear camera setup featuring 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro sensor while there is 16MP front camera. Yes, RealMe just skipped the 2MP depth sensor which is good thing but there is still, 2MP macro sensor.
The RealMe X7 5G has good camera setup and it does give good quality images but when it’s come to human subject or even plants, the camera doesn’t give natural images, almost every single time, the does turned out saturated
If want natural images then I think, you should skip RealMe X7 but if you like saturated colors then I think you just found perfect smartphone.
Also, at night, camera try to overexpose the what ever you shot, here, I feel, RealMe needs to improve the camera because it’s not like RealMe X7 is the only phone with 5G or good camera, people will go with other option, if they don’t fix this problem.
Same thing happens with front camera too, so it’s the same as rear cameras.
If I review RealMe X7 camera is one line then it would be like this,
RealMe X7 has good cameras but it doesn’t take natural images, you will see, color pop out everywhere. Also, at night, cameras try to overexposed the images and that’s why, details got fade away. Here, I would say, just add 1k more and buy Mi 10i 5G.
Audio Quality
The phone has only single bottom-firing speakers which is bummer as most of the phone at 20k comes stereo speakers. Also, RealMe just cut down the 3.5mm Audio jack, so you have to buy wireless earphone and whether this is coincident or not, RealMe also sells, wireless earphone, you can buy one from them, funny isn’t it.
This not done as this is a budget smartphone they should have keep audio jack. Also, the phone doesn’t have micro-SD card slot.
Good thing is, RealMe keep the second noise-cancelling microphone. It will give the best possible audio quality even if you’re in a crowded place, another person on call will able to hear your voice without any problem.
Battery Life
It has a 4,310 mAh (non-removable) battery with 50W fast charging support but RealMe has supplied a 65W charger in the box. I know, the battery size is smaller but it has 50W charging support, everything is balanced here.
By the way, battery life is good on RealMe X7, I think MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G processor is performing well here. So if you charge RealMe X7 at 9:00 AM then you have to charge this phone again at around 5 PM.
“the battery life depends on your phone use if you every day play games for 6 hours then you need to charge a phone in every 6 hours but if you’re like me and don’t use the phone very often then it will last for a day or so”
Conclusion
There is no doubt that RealMe X7 is a good smartphone but its not better than Mi 10i 5G. So if you have the option to choose from the goo and better then I think, you should go with a better option. Also, when you buy Mi 10i 5G, you will lose out on 50W fast charging and AMOLED display.
Overall, if you ask me, just go with Mi 10i 5G for a better camera, better performance, and better build, and for better battery life.
Do I Recommend RealMe X7 5G?
No, I don’t because Mi 10i 5G is a better option than RealMe X7 5G. I’m not saying, RealMe X7 is a bad smartphone but overall, Mi 10i 5G will perform better than the RealMe X7 5G.
