Indian users are picky about smartphone brands, for example, if their budget is above Rs 50,000 then they will prefer either Apple or Samsung. So for iQOO to sell iQOO 11 5G at Rs 59,999 will be a hard task but if they can replicate the OnePlus Formula then there is still a chance.

iQOO 11 5G Price in India

The device is available in Alpha black and Legend color options and It will be available from 13th January 2023 at noon via Amazon. IQOO is also offering Rs 3000 off on HDFC and ICICI cards for a limited time.

iQOO 11 5G Review

Yes, Definitely iQOO 11 5G is worth buying, however, the phone focuses more on the performance side of things and because of that, the cameras are not as good as the 60k price tag. Nonetheless, it’s a good smartphone for those who are looking for a gaming smartphone at 60k.

iQOO is a sub-brand of Vivo, so you will see some of Vivo’s color science in the camera department. Still, the cameras are not as optimized as Vivo’s Flagship smartphones.

The performance is solid because of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, whether you want to play games or do anything sort of work, you will be amazed at how fast and smooth IQOO 11 5G is.

Concluding everything from price to feature, iQOO is targeting iQOO 11 5G toward performance-hungry users. The only downside is its camera other than that, it’s a solid smartphone at a 60k price tag.

Also, users will be hesitant to spend 60k on the iQOO brand, still, it’s a good start for iQOO to take place of OnePlus…

Display

The iQOO 11 5G comes with a 144Hz 6.78-inch LTPO4 AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution and pick a brightness of 1800 nits. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor and HDR10+ support.

The in-display fingerprint is fast and snappy, and it’s an optical sensor yet it doesn’t feel slow at all.

The 1800 nits display is crazy bright, so you will be able to use your smartphone outdoors without any kind of problems. It’s the best display you can get for under Rs 60,000 in India.

This is the LTPO4 AMOLED panel, which simply means, the phone will consume less power and as a result, the phone will last longer.

You will also be able to watch HDR content on YouTube, IQOO is yet to push updates for other OTT platforms.

Overall, iQOO 11 5G has the best display whether you want to play games or watch movies, you will get the best experience.

Build

The iQOO 11 5G has a glass back, aluminum frames, and Gorilla Glass Victus for display protection.

The build quality is solid too, it feels premium while it’s comfortable to use as well. The phone’s weight is about 205 grams which is not too heavy as the phone has aluminum frames.

By the way, the device doesn’t have the 3.5mm audio jack or SD card slot but it does have stereo speakers.

Performance

Snapdragon 8 gen 1 was manufactured by Samsung which was one of the reasons why it was heating a lot but the newer Snapdragon 8 gen 2 is manufactured by TMSC, so as result, it’s now more stable and faster.

On top of that, iQOO has also added the Vapor Chamber Liquid Cooling System which will help a lot in the summertime.

Also, as this is a gaming smartphone, so you don’t have to worry about the performance side of things.

The IQOO 11 5G runs on Fun Touch OS 13 based on Android 12 and it will get 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. So you can expect updates up to Android 16.

IQOO has worked on the software yet I show Bloatware when I used the iQOO 11 5G for the first time, although you can uninstall almost all the third-party apps but still, even after paying 60k, it’s not a good user experience.

By the way, some of IQOO’s stock apps do have ads in the UI. The ads are not on your face but still, it’s there.

The OS is faster than before because of the processor as well as the LPDDR5x Ram and UFS 4.0 Storage. Still, it would be good, if IQOO optimize the Fun Touch OS for a better user experience.

In short, you won’t face any kind of problem while using the smartphone, it’s by far the best gaming smartphone available for under Rs 60,000 in India.

Cameras

IQOO has never been known for its cameras. The newly launched iQOO 11 5G is nothing special either, it has good cameras but there are not as good as the 60k price tag.

The device has a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 13MP telephoto lens while there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.

The rear cameras can shoot videos at 8K@30fps, 4K@30/60fps, and 1080p@30/60fps while the front can shoot at 1080p@30/60fps.

By the way, the primary sensor does have OIS which helps under low light as well as in videos too.

The colors are not as good as Samsung or Apple smartphones but still, the iQOO 11 5G takes usable videos.

V2 Chipset

IQOO has also added a V2 chipset which lets you preview the real-time frame within the camera app, so what you see on the viewfinder is what you will get. The V2 also helps a lot when taking videos or even photos under low lights.

In short, the chipset will brighten the images under low light, and as result, the images will look better.

Photography

The primary sensor is well optimized and it does take good images under daylight conditions and the same can be said for low light as well.

Now, the images are not as good as Google Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro but still, compared to other iQOO smartphones, IQOO 11 5G takes excellent images.

The dynamic range or even color correction is on point too.

The problem is with 8MP ultrawide,

The sensor is too small for a 60k smartphone, the sensor takes useable images under sunlight but when it comes to low light, the images come out too soft and because of the overexposure, the images also have a bit of noise.

The 13MP telephoto lens is solid too, I didn’t expect this from IQOO but it’s surprisingly a good sensor. I hope they improve the telephoto lens quality further under low light but other than that, it’s a well-optimized sensor.

Back on the 16MP front camera,

You know, iQOO is a sub-brand of Vivo right, so what else can you expect? It’s the same as Vivo, you will love the selfie shooter. It takes social media-ready images.

In short, the IQOO 11 5G has above-average cameras which can improve to good cameras. Also, I have never seen IQOO-improved cameras with an OTA update but this time, I hope they do because this 60k smartphone and it needs a bit of extra attention.

Audio

No, 3.5mm Audio jack but it does have a stereo speaker which sounds great, they’re loud, clean, and have a good amount of bass.

The 2×2 MIMO Carrier Aggregation support is there too, so you will get good single quality too.

Battery Life

The iQOO 11 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery with a whopping 120W wired fast charging support and it also has PD charge 3.5 support.

Also, no wireless charging even at a 60k price tag. The 120W wired charger will take only 20 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is a well optimized processor, so you can expect good battery life.

Expect the battery to last for a day but if you’re a heavy user then you will have to use the 120W fast charger.

Summary

IQOO has entered into the Flagship category and it will be hard to sell iQOO 11 5G at Rs 59,999 in India and take place of OnePlus. Nonetheless, if you’re okay with average cameras and fun touch OS then do consider iQOO 11 5G otherwise, consider the Pixel 7 5G or iPhone 13 5G.
