Infinix Zero Ultra Review
No, the Infinix Zero Ultra is not worth buying because it’s an overpriced smartphone while the phone does have a whooping 200MP primary sensor but that doesn’t reflect well in real-life usage, and the highlighting feature is 180W fast charging but one should not spend 30k, just for fast charging.
One more thing,
As per MediaTek, the Dimensity 920 doesn’t support the 200MP sensor, it only supports up to 108MP sensor.
Now, the Infinix Zero Ultra is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 which has a 200MP sensor, so this might be a gimmicky sensor and Infinix might be using software to show you that, the phone has a 200MP sensor.

Also, Infinix didn’t say anything about partnering with MediaTek to bring 200MP. In short, a little bit of clarity from Infinix is needed.
Concluding everything from price to features, the Infinix Zero Ultra is not value for money device, you’re paying a premium for what Infinix is offering you. So simply, stay away from the Ultra.

You’re about to see a new trend in mid-budget smartphones, any guesses, yes the curved displays. It started with RealMe 10 Pro Plus and now, Infinix has come on board.
The Infinix Zero Ultra comes with a 6.80-inch AMOLED curved display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and the pick a brightness of 1000 nits.
I’m not a big fan of curved displays, the reason is simple, it’s hard to find tempered glass and you have to be very careful with your smartphone which I’m not.
Still, If you want to use the curved then do consider the RealMe 10 Pro Plus which is priced at Rs 24999 and this too has a 120Hz AMOLED curved display (this too is a bit pricey but compared to Infinix Zero Ultra, RealMe 10 Pro Plus far better option while you can also consider Motorola Edge 30 too).

The 1000 brightness is solid, you won’t face any kind of problem while using the smartphone outdoors. It also has Widevine L1 support along with an in-display fingerprint sensor which works well.
The problem is,
The Infinix Zero Ultra has a plastic back which is not justifiable at all because this is a 30k device while Infinix has used Gorilla Glass 3 Protection which again is not a good look on a 30k device.
In short, the Infinix Zero Ultra has a good-looking curved display while the build quality is decent.
Performance
The MediaTek Dimensity 920 is a well-optimized processor but it’s not made for heavy games, you will able to play games like COD Mobile or even PUBG New state but the gaming experience won’t be too good.
Long story short, don’t consider the Infinix Zero Ultra for gaming, it’s a good option for day-to-day usage but not for heavy usage.
The phone runs on XOS 12 based on Android 12, yes, months have passed since Google released the Android 13 but Infinix is like, what Android 13.
Infinix will provide the Android 13 Update but after that, Infinix didn’t say anything about future OS Updates.
The Infinix Zero Ultra has 12 5G bands which include n38, n40, n41, n77, n78,
n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, and n28
Now comes the OS,
I have said many times that Infinix needs to change the OS, whether they want to shift to stock Android or improve the XOS, they have to choose one.
I mean, look at their smartphone lineup, they have some of the best smartphones at good prices but because of the OS, I’m hastate to recommend Infinix phones to my friends and family.
By the way, the OS is feature-rich, hall, they even added Whatsapp call recording within the OS.
All in all, OS needs to improve, big time. Also, the phone comes with hall lot of pre-installed apps which again is not cool.
Overall, Infinix Zero Ultra is not for gamers, it provides decent performance which again is not justifiable for a Rs 29,999 device.
Cameras
These 200MP sensors are here to make a fool of Indian users, I mean, better optimized the 48MP sensors rather than hide behind the 200MP.
So when you see a 200MP Logo on smartphone retail boxes, especially in budget or mid-budget smartphones then you should know that the camera won’t be as good as the megapixel count.
The bigger sensors are added for marketing, so the band can sell more devices, don’t fall for that.
Back to Infinix Zero Ultra,
The Infinix Zero Ultra comes with 200MP primary sensor, 16MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro lens while there is a 32MP selfie shooter on the front. The rear cameras can shoot videos at 4k@30fps, and 1080p@30/60fps while the front can only shoot at 1080p@30fps.
Videos
The 200MP sensor does have OIS support but for some reason, the OIS wasn’t working well when I was shooting videos, it worked quite well in photos.
The videos do come out unstable while there is a bit issue with the dynamic range too while Infinix tries to soften the human subject (face).
The same story with the front camera too, in short, don’t expect extraordinary from the videos. It takes the same videos as a 15k or 20k smartphone.
Images
I have already said that don’t fall for the 200MP sensor, it’s added for marketing.
When it comes to real-life usage, the sensor does take good mages under good lighting, let’s say, under sunlight or when there is enough light to cover everything.
The sensor doesn’t provide natural colors but that’s not the issue as most mid-budget smartphone adds extra colors, in short, it produces saturated colors.
Also, when it comes to night, the sensor softens the images too much, sometimes I felt like, I did makeup or something.

The phone also has a dedicated night mode and it does its job.
Now, it also has a 13MP ultra-wide lens. Advise, always use an Ultra-wide lens under sunlight otherwise, you won’t feel like posting ultra-wide images on social media.
These days brands don’t work on Ultra-wide lenses, they just add the sensor and that’s it. With that said, ignore the 2MP macro sensor.
Again the 32MP front camera does its job, you will look white when you take selfies or shoot video. So yes, there is no need to use filters to post selfies.
In conclusion, the sensors on Infinix Zero Ultra look fabulous but when it comes to real-life usage, it doesn’t justifiable the 200MP sensor or even the 30k price tag. To put it simply, the phone has average cameras.

Audio
The Infinix Zero Ultra does have a stereo speaker which works well as always, the problem is 30% volume comes from the top speaker while the remaining comes from the bottom speaker.
Now, this is not a big issue. Also, it doesn’t have the 3.5mm audio jack other than that, there is nothing to complain about.
Yes, the phone does have Carrier Aggregation support along with Bluetooth 5.0 but it doesn’t have NFC.
Battery Life
The Infinix Zero Ultra has a 4,500mAh battery with 180W fast charging support. It will take about 4 minutes to charge from 0% to 50% while the 0% from 100 will only take 15 minutes.
The battery size is kind of small but the fast charging does help a lot. Also, you will have to use the 180W adopter for fast charging.
Also, expect the battery life to last for a day if you’re a normal user but if you’re a heavy user then get ready to charge two times a day.

Summary
The Infinix Zero Ultra more focuses on display and fast charging, the rest of the specs are average while the Rs 29,999 price tag doesn’t justify what Infinix is offering. Nonetheless, it’s not the worst smartphone for a 30k price, it’s just that, Indian users will hesitate to pay 30k for Infinix Brand.
