Infinix Zero 30 5G Review
Yes, the Infinix Zero 30 5G is worth buying but if you want better cameras, especially low-light photography then this is not the best option. But yes, it does have a powerful SoC, longer battery life, 68W fast charging, and even a curved 144Hz AMOLED panel which does fill the camera gap.
I don’t know what Infinix has done with cameras,
The daylight photo comes great. It feels that Infinix has worked on them but when it comes to low light, it feels like this can’t be a 24k smartphone.

The night images are not good at all.
The biggest downside of the Infinix Zero 30 5G is low-light photography. Other than that, there is nothing bad about this device at all.
That being said, let’s deep dive into the Infinix Zero 30 5G.
Display and Build
The 6.78-inches 144hz curved AMOLED provides close to accurate colors while the curved panel does feel premium. The 950 nits brightness is not the best for the price it comes but still, it gets the job done.
You won’t face any sort of problem while using the phone under the sunlight, the screen will be visible enough to play games or even take images.
Infinix has also provided four modes; 60Hz, 120Hz, 144hz, and Auto mode. This means you can force the device to run on 144Hz all the time and it performs well, I haven’t faced any lags so far.
Keep in mind, that the battery won’t last for a long time if you keep the phone at 144hz all the time, it is better to use auto mode.
The HDR doesn’t work in Netflix, so you’re stuck with regular movie experience but as the phone has Widevine L1 support, you will be able to stream FHD+ continent on all the OTT platforms.
The in-display fingerprint sensor works well, it’s nothing extraordinary.
One more thing, the phone has a curved display, so it will be hard to find proactive glass. What I’m saying is, be careful because curved displays have a higher chance of breaking.
The Infinix Zero 30 5G comes in two color options; Golden Hour has a Glass back while Rome Green has a leather back. Both the colors come with plastic frames.
So the built quality is kind of okay as the front is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It will try its best to protect the device but in the end, you have to be careful otherwise that beautiful curved display will be shattered.

If not the best, the Infinix Zero 30 5G has the best display under Rs 25000 while the same can be said for the build as well. The Glass build is kind of normal in the mind-budget segment, so you can’t really complain about it.
Still, if you want glass back with Infinix Zero 30 5G specs then kindly move to the Rs 30000 price segment.
Performance
MediaTek Dimensity 8020 is comparable to the Snapdragon 870 SoC, so yes, the performance is not the big issue with Infinix Zero 30 5G. Whether you want to play games like BGMI or even COD Mobile, you will get the best gaming experience.
Now, of course, it won’t give you performance like Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 but for the price of Rs 23999, you will get the best gaming experience.
The AnTutu v10 benchmark score is 706763. This means you won’t have to worry about the performance at all while the XOS 13.1 based on Android 13 is well optimized for gaming as well as day-to-day usage.
Keep in mind, that the benchmark score will change every time you take the test.
The biggest problem is that Infinix has only promised 1 year of OS updates and 2 years of security updates. This means, the Infinix Zero 30 5G will only get Android 14 and nothing after that.
By the way, Android 14 is a month away, so this is not okay at all.
The ads situation is not as bad as RealMe or even Xiaomi. Yes, Infinix has added a few apps but you can uninstall all of them while the ads are not all over the place (you can disable the ads).
The Infinix Zero 5G comes with 14 5G Bands which are n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n28, n66, n38, n40, n41, n77, n78. So you will be able to use 5G without any problems.
Overall, the performance is top notch for the price of Rs 23999 while the software has got one better but still, it would be good, if Infinix removed the ads and provided a clean experience like Motorola Edge 40 5G.
Cameras
Big sensors don’t mean better camera quality. Remember this line, now, let’s talk about the Infinix Zero 30 5G cameras.
The 108MP primary sensor does have OIS but it’s not the best. When shooting videos in 4k@30fps, it doesn’t feel that the phone has OIS but the OIS does work in 4k30fps and 1080p@30fps very well.
The stabilization is not perfect at all, it feels more robotic.
This means, that if you’re that person who loves to shoot videos while walking and you’re planning to buy this phone then don’t because the stabilization is not good at all even with the OIS.
Infinix needs to work on the software to make the videos better and more on that, OIS better because if the phone has OIS then it makes sense to take full advantage of it.
The front camera can shoot videos at 4k@60fps which is rare and it’s also rare that the front camera takes better videos. So yes, don’t fall for the numbers at all.
Long story short, the OIS is not perfect or the videos.
Now, when it comes to daylight, the primary sensor takes good images. It’s not the best for the price of Rs 23999, Infinix Zero 30 5G is not the worst.
Whether it’s dynamic range or even HDR, everything works perfectly fine till the sunset.
Under low light conditions, the Infinix Zero 5G’s cameras are trash. The HDR or even dynamic range is worse. The colors are all over the place, it doesn’t feel like 24k from any angle.
The dedicated night mode does help but it just boosts the colors and makes brighter objects darker.
Also, don’t use an ultra-wide lens under low light but yes, under good lights, the ultra-wide performs well.
Of course, you won’t get the proper details with ultra-wide but still, it gets the job done.
The 2MP depth sensor does help a lot in portrait shots. So yes, the sensor won’t cut your hair or even skin when you take portrait images due to the dedicated 2MP sensor.
Infinix has also added tons of filters within the stock camera app which does come in handy if you love to share your images on social media.
The 50MP massive front camera is not the best. I’m saying this because the sensor is big but it’s not doing justice.
The selfie comes out but sometimes it looks like, the phone has an 8MP sensor. Still, the images are not bad at all for the price it comes.
The images will have boosted colors along with a bit of softening which is perfect for posting on social media.
Infinix Zero 50 5G doesn’t have the perfect cameras, especially the low light but still, the daylight photography is perfect while the OIS needs lots of improvement.

Audio and Battery
The stereo speakers are perfect, they’re not bad at all. The good news is that Infinix has added a dedicated speaker on the top which means the audio is loud and clear.
Most of the brands try to add a second speaker inside the earpiece.
The call quality is good too at the same time, the carrier aggregation does help.
The 5,000mAh battery will last for a day without any sort of problems while the 68W charger will help a lot. The charger is supplied in the box, so no need to buy a new charger.
30 minutes of charging will give you about 80% of the battery which is better if you’re in a hurry and if the smartphone battery is low.
The audio quality is top notch while the battery will easily last for a day at the same time, 68W wired charging will come in handy.
