Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G Closer look at the Rear

Infinix is not a premium brand, they’re targeting the budget segment which is perfect because these days we don’t have many good options under Rs 20,000.

The Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G is a gaming smartphone and this is by far the best performance-centric smartphone you can consider but it also comes with its Pros and Cons.

So let’s see whether the Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G is the best gaming phone for it’s just another phone from Infinix.

Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G Price

The Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 19,999 and it only comes in one variant which is 8GB of Ram and 256GB storage. It’s available in cyber Black and Mirage Silver color options while it’s solid via Flipkart.

Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G Review

Yes, the Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G is worth buying but it’s only for those users who wanted to buy a gaming smartphone because the phone doesn’t have the best cameras but the performance is top-notch for the Rs 19999.

It’s safe to say that this is by far the best gaming smartphone you can consider buying under Rs 20,000.

It even has a 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, whopping 45W charging support, comes with a charger in the box, has a unique design, no ads in the UI, and customizable LEDs on the back.

For gaming, the Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G is the best option but for cameras, this might not be the best option.

Display and Build

Display: Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 900 nits of peak brightness.

The 6.67-inches 120hz AMOLED display is great while it also comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor which is rare under Rs 20000 because most of the brand adds the sensor into the power button.

The 900 nits brightness is well enough for outdoor usage, so there won’t be any sort of problems while using the Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G under the sunlight.

Now, the phone does have support for Widevine L1 but it doesn’t support the HDR in Netflix and there is no plan from Infinix to add this option.

The in-display fingerprint sensor works fine but keep in mind, this is an optical sensor, so it won’t work if your fingers are wet.

The back as well as the frames are made from plastic while there is no mention of what kind of glass they have used to protect the front display.

Now, the design is subjective, and talking about myself, I’m not a big fan of these kinds of designs but you might like this as this gives the gaming vibe.

Fun fact, if you buy the Mirage Silver color then the back color will change when you throw UV light, ex; when you go outside.

Also, if you see very closely at the rear cameras, there are a few LED lights that you can customize by doing to settings. This is sort of gimmicky, it’s not as good as Nothing Phone 1 or Nothing Phone 2.

Nonetheless, this is a good start and I hope, Infinix expands this in the next version.

Performance

The MediaTek Dimensity 8050 is a powerful processor for the price it comes in. There won’t be any sort of problems while playing games like COD Mobile, BGMI, or even Asphalt 9.

Now, games like Genshin Impact mobile won’t work properly because this requires a powerful processor and to run this game properly, you need to spend more than Rs 30000.

For those who want to know the performance score, I will add it below.

The xOS 13 is more improved compared to the last gen while it runs on Android 13 but the sad part is, Infinix has only promised 1 year of OS update.

So this phone will only get Android 14 and after that, nothing.

The good news is, the phone does come with a few pre-installed apps that you can uninstall while there are no ads in the UI like RealMe or Xiaomi Phones.

Yes, no app store or security scamming apps at all.

Infinix has also added 14 5G bands which are; n38, n40, n41, n77, n78, n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n28, and n66.

So you can start using the 5G network when you buy this phone and the for those who don’t know, Airtel and Jio are offering unlimited 5G data with the majority of their plans.

Cameras

Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G comes with 108MP primary sensor, 2MP macro sensor, and 2MP depth sensor while there is a 32 MP selfie shooter on the front.

The rear cameras can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps and 4k@30fps while the front can shoot at 720p@30fps and 1080p@30fps.

The video quality is kind of okay, don’t expect much from it. This is a proper gaming smartphone and Infinix didn’t work much on the camera side of things.

In short, the video doesn’t come out the best under low light while under sunlight, the video comes out saturated with a white tone.

The 2MP + 2MP sensors are there for showcase only.

The 108MP sensor is not that but it’s not the best either. This is just a big sensor and doesn’t do much when it comes to real-life usage.

So as I have said, expect a saturated and soft image with even a primary sensor. Sometimes, the sensor adds a yellow tone too.

Also, if you use Pro mode then you can adjunct the OIS and other options but most of the users will stick with the default one.

The front camera is not great at all, I’m saying this because of the bigger 32MP sensor.

The camera app is too basic, it looks outdated and I’m hoping that this will change over time.

By the way, selfies will come out white because that’s what most users prefer.

Overall, the cameras are not that great, it looks more like a 10k smartphone when it comes to the camera side of things but as I have said, this is a gaming phone, so can’t expect everything.

Check out the raw camera samples of Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G (I have added all the camera samples in google drive, so see it by yourself and see whether you like it or not.)

Audio

I loved that, Inifinix added the 3.5mm audio jack along with stereo speakers. The dual speakers are not that great but it’s not bad either while it’s far better compared to single speakers.

Also, a microphone is perfect too, I didn’t face any sort of problems while taking voice calls or video calls.

Battery

The 5,000mAh battery will last for a day without any kind of problem but if somehow, you kill the battery then you can use the 45W charger which is supplied in the box.

The 45W charger will take about 70 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%.

In short, the battery is solid and you won’t face any sort of problems.

Summary

If your end goal is to play games and you don’t care much about the cameras while you don’t want to spend more than Rs 20000 then you can consider buying the Infinix GT 10 Pro 5G. It’s not for everyone but it’s the best for gamers.
