So we all are living in 2023 but looks like Samsung forget about it and they have launched the Galaxy M34 5G in India at Rs 19,999. The phone does have Samsung Logo and because of this lots of people in India will buy Galaxy M34 5G.

That being said, let’s find out in this review why Samsung Galaxy M34 5G is a waste of money, sort of.

Samsung Galaxy M34 Price

It comes in Silver & Dark Blue and it will be available from 15th July 2023 at noon Via Amazon.

Samsung Galaxy M34 5G Review

No, the Galaxy M34 is not worth buying because it has a waterdrop notch, only a single speaker, no charger in the box, an average processor, and decent cameras, and yet its priced at Rs 19,999 which is not acceptable at all, especially 2023 where we have better phones.

So kindly, stay away from the Galaxy M34 5G unless and until, you wanted to buy only a Samsung phone.

Now, if you want more then let’s see some of the reasons to buy the Galaxy M34 5G and some to skip.

Reasons to Buy the Galaxy M34 5G

Display

Samsung Makes displays, so there is no doubt about the quality of the AMOLED display used on Galaxy M34 5G.

It has a 6.50-inches 120hz AMOLED panel with 1000 nits peak brightness, so yes, you will be more than happy with the display and you will get the best viewing experience but keep in mind, there is no HDR support in Netflix or other OTT platforms.

Battery Life

The 6,000mAh battery on Galaxy M34 5G will last for two days without any sort of issue, so if you’re that person who doesn’t like to charge a phone too often then this might be a good option to consider.

Software

The phone runs on OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13 and Samsung has promised 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of Security updates which is the best while this is full-OneUI with all the features.

So, yes, the software experience is solid compared to other Android smartphones under Rs 20,000 in India.

Reasons to Skip Galaxy M34 5G

Build and Design

The Galaxy M34 5G has a plastic back while frames are also made from plastic, so the phone doesn’t feel premium from any angle.

The front is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 but it has a water drop notch along with huge bezels all around it.

This is a 2023’s Samsung smartphone and this is what they have to offer to Indian users, I mean they should have at least added punch hole notch but hey, this is Samsung.

Cameras

It does have a 50MP Primary sensor (OIS) + 8MP Ultra-wide + 2MP macro and there is a 13MP selfie shooter on the front.

The problem here is, the ultra-wide lens is not that good, as this is a smaller sensor, it doesn’t provide good details along with it makes all the images softer while the 2MP sensor is there for showcase.

The 50MP primary sensor is there and it takes good images but it’s not as good as Rs 19,999 price tag, Samsung needs to work on this sensor while the 13MP sensor is the same, it adds a white tone along with boosted colors.

The end story is, Galaxy M34 5G doesn’t have as good cameras as the Rs 19,999 price tag. It’s the best camera for a 15k price tag but hey, that’s not what you’re paying for Galaxy M34 5G.

Audio

I’m saying the price again and again because I have to, this is a Rs 19,999 phone, and yet it has a single speaker but it does have a 3.5mm Audio jack.

Look, I’m not going to say, the single speaker is loud and it’s the best because it won’t justify the price tag at all. Instant, I will say, the speaker is not good at all, that’s the truth.

Performance

The Exynos 1280 is a good SoC but again, this is not worth at Rs 19,999 price tag.

After 30 minutes of BGMI Mobile gameplay, it was hot and I showed frame drops here and there, so the reality is, the Galaxy M34 5G is not made for power-hungry users, this is made for normal users who will only use social media and take calls or maybe who plays Candy Crush.

What I’m saying is, Galaxy M34 5G is not made for gaming at all.

Price

Finally, this has to come and yes, the Rs 19,999 price is too much for what Samsung is offering but this price is for Samsung Logo, so what else can I say?

No Charger

Yes, there is no charger in the Box, the phone does support 25W charging but you have to buy the charger or use whatever you have at home. This is all for the environment.

Slow Charging Speed

25W charging speed is too slow in 2023, I mean, we have phones with 44W, 60W, and even 100W. So yes, the charging speed will feel slow.
