Finally, after a long time, we have a good budget smartphone that I can recommend to anyone who wants to buy a smartphone under Rs 10,000. Yes, I’m talking about RealMe C55.

RealMe C55 Prices

  • 4GB Ram + 64GB Storage: ₹10,999 | €125 | $135
  • 6GB Ram + 64GB Storage: ₹11,999 | €135 | $145
  • 6GB Ram + 128GB Storage: ₹13,999 | €160 | $170

The RealMe C55 comes in Sun Shower and Rainy Night color options and it will be available from 28th March 2023 via Flipkart at noon.

Is it Worth Buying RealMe C55?

No, doubt about that, RealMe C55 is worth buying and it deserves the Rs 11,000 price tag. It has everything that a budget smartphone should have, so if your budget is Rs 10,000 then I would highly recommend you add 1k extra and consider the RealMe C55 and you won’t be disappointed with the device at all.

However, if you’re not a fan of RealMe UI then this might be not the best option but other than that, it’s a solid device for the price it comes.

Also, RealMe has copied Apple again and has added a dynamic island but they’re calling it a “Mini capsule”.

At this movement, the Mini capsule doesn’t support every single app, however, it shows the battery percentage, charging speed, and a few other RealMe’s stock apps.

RealMe C55 Specs

  • Other Features: Dedicated Micro-SD Card Slot, Mini capsule, and Android 13 out of the box.
  • Fingerprint: Yes, Side-Mounted

Display

RealMe C55 comes with a 6.72-inch 90Hz FHD+ LCD Display with 680 nits pick brightness. Now, the phone has an LCD panel, so there is no in-display fingerprint sensor, however, it does have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which works well.

For the price of Rs 10999, the phone has the best display, it also supports Wide-Vine L1 which means, you can stream FHD+ content on almost all the OTT platforms.

In short, I don’t have any kind of complaints about the display. By the way, the phone has a plastic back, and plastic frames which is justifiable as this is a budget smartphone.

Again, there is a “Mini capsule” as well which we have talked about.

Performance

We have years-old MediaTek G88 SoC which is a good processor for the 11k price tag, it’s not the best for heavy gaming, nonetheless, you can do a little bit of gaming.

The good news is, the phone runs on RealMe UI 4.0 based on Android 13 but the sad news is, RealMe didn’t say anything about future updates.

RealMe has improved the new version of RealMe UI which does reflect well in real-life usage, however, the UI does have ads that you can disable but not 100%.

Also, this is a 4G smartphone and there is no Carrier Aggregation support.

For casual usage, this is the best option you have for an 11k price tag.

Cameras

The RealMe C55 has 64MP primary sensor and 2MP depth sensor while there is 8MP front camera. Both cameras can shoot videos at 1080p@30fps.

To make it simple, that 2MP sensor is added for showcase while the front camera is there with a social media-ready filter which means, it takes a bit statured and whiter images.

That 64MP sensor does take good images under sunlight but it doesn’t perform well in low light still, for the price of 11k, it’s doing a good job.

The video quality is also good, again, can’t comment much as this is a budget phone and as per the price, the doesn’t have the worst cameras.

Overall, you will be happy with the RealMe C55 cameras.

Audio and Battery Life

The phone has a single speaker which sounds good, also, it does have a 3.5mm audio jack. Now, this budget smartphone, so can’t expect everything, still, if you want a dual speaker setup then you will have to go above 11k.

the battery life is rock solid, the 5,000mAh battery will last for 1 and a half days but if you’re a heavy user then still, the b battery will last for days without any problems unless and until, you gonna play games all day.

There is also 33W charging supports and yes, the charger is provided in the box.
