The biggest advantage of the OnePlus 11R 5G is its pricing, Rs 39,999 for the base variant is fabulous, you can’t get better specs than this at this movement. However, it does have its flaws but even after that, it’s a solid device for Indian users as it’s India an exclusive smartphone.

OnePlus 11R 5G Price in India

OnePlus 11R 5G price in India starts from Rs 39,999 for 6GB of Ram and 128GB storage while another 16GB of Ram and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 44,999.

The device is available in Sonic Black and Galactic Sliver color options while it will be available for pre-order from 21st February 2023 and the open sale will start on 28th February 2023 via Amazon.

OnePlus 11R 5G Review

Yes, the OnePlus 11R 5G is worth buying because it has powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, superfast 100W charging, 120Hz AMOLED display, and a clean OxygenOS experience which is a solid offering from OnePlus, especially at Rs 39,999 starting price.

We all know that Cameras have been a weak part of OnePlus for ages and this can be said for the OnePlus 11R 5G but for the Rs 39999, you can’t really complain much as we have Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G priced at 30k in India.

Display

The OnePlus 11R 5G comes with a 6.74-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1240 x 2772 pixels resolution and a pick brightness of 1450 nits and this is a 10-bit & HDR10+ ready panel.

This is the typical display you get with almost all mid-budget smartphones, so there is nothing new to talk about, however, we don’t usually get curved panels at this price range which could buying point for some users

Talking about the design, it’s the same as OnePlus 11 5G. This is the best thing OnePlus has done because last year they messed with the OnePlus 10R design as they copied the same from OPPO’s smartphone.

The build quality is also solid too, also it doesn’t feel cheap from any angle.

By the way, this is HDR10+ ready display and yes, it does support HDR in almost all the OTT platforms while there is also support for Widevine which will let you watch Movies at FHD+.

One more thing, there is also an alert slider.

The 1450 nits brightness is more than enough for all kinds of environments, which means, there won’t be any kind of issue while using the device outdoors.

Overall, OnePlus has done fabulous when it comes to display or even build quality, can’t really complain about anything, it’s the best for a 40k price tag.

Performance

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1 at 40k price tag, what else you can ask along with that, it’s running on Oxygen OS 13 based on Android 13.

OnePlus has also promised 4 3 years of OS updates and 5 years of Security updates.

Note: At the launch OnePlus promised 4 years of OS updates for the OnePlus 11R 5G but later then confirmed that the device will only get 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.

In short, whether you want to play games, watch movies, use social media, or want to do any sort of work, you won’t face any kind of problems with performance at all.

One more thing, the phone doesn’t have ads in the UI, like OPPO devices. However, the OnePlus 11R 5G does have some OPPO-specific features, so it’s not like, this is purely old OnePlus.

Still, it’s good to see NO ADS.

OnePlus has also added 9 5G Bands including n1, n3, n5, n8, n28A, n40, n41, n77, and n78. So if the 5G is available in your city then you will be able to take advantage of it.

Cameras

Check out the Camera Samples of the OnePlus 11R 5G (Raw Images – Gdrive)

The cameras feel more like OPPOs as the images come out a bit saturated and selfies are a bit on the whiter side.

By the way, the OnePlus 11R 5G comes with 108MP primary sensor (OIS), 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP depth sensor while there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.

The rear cameras can shoot videos at 4k@30/60fps and 1080p@30/60fps while the front can shoot at only 1080p@30fps.

The OIS only works well in 1080p@30/60fps videos but it doesn’t do well in 40@30/60fps videos.

Now, if you love to shoot videos while walking or even running then it’s good news that the videos will come out stable as the OIS does work in videos too.

We can argue that the quality of the videos is not up to the mark but that’s not a new thing for OnePlus. They provide everything in smartphones and because of that, they forget to work on the camera side of things.

Still, the videos are useable and you can upload the same on social media and no one will complain about it.

Again, as I have said, whether it’s the primary sensor or even the front, the images do come out a bit saturated and it’s far away from nature.

Other than that, the rear cameras are solid and they even take good images under low light conditions. OnePlus has also added a dedicated night mode which works well, just like any other smartphone.

The ultra-wide lens is kind of hit or miss, the reason being the smaller sensor size. Again, it does take useable images under sunlight but the same doesn’t reflect well under low light.

Also, there is some issue with the dynamic range, especially with an ultra-wide lens. Now, this feels more like a software issue rather than a hardware issue, so I’m hoping that OnePlus will fix this with OTA updates.

The front camera is kind of okay and I feel most of the Indian users will love it as the images come out whiter and more saturated, again, the front camera is nowhere near to Nothing Phone 1 or even Pixel 6A.

Overall, OnePlus can improve the front and even rear cameras with OTA updates, it’s just that, they need to work on it. Still, I feel, the phone has useable cameras under good light and even under low light but it does suffer a lot under extremely low light conditions.

Audio

Just like any other smartphone, the OnePlus 11R 5G also has stereo speakers which work well. Now, the phone doesn’t have the 3.5mm audio jack which is kind of justifiable as we don’t see this feature in mid-budget smartphones.

There is also, Carrier Aggregation support which is always good to see in smartphones for better network connectivity.

The call quality is also great as the phone has two microphones and it does work well in all kinds of conditions.

In short, you will be more than happy with the speakers and even call quality.

Battery

The OnePlus 11R 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging, there is no wireless charging but I feel for a 40k smartphone, it’s not a big deal.

The battery will easily last for two days if you’re a normal user. Normal users are who only use social media, a little bit of YouTube, and calling.

Now, if you’re that user who plays games and does all kinds of work then you can expect the battery to last for a day.

Still, you can always use the 100W charger to charge the OnePlus 11T 5G, it will take only 27 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%.

Value For Money

Summary

OnePlus 11R 5G is a smartly priced smartphone and its value for money device for a 40k price tag, basically, if your budget is Rs 40k and you wanted a well-balanced smartphone then do consider the OnePlus 11R 5G, you will be more than happy with its performance in all areas except the cameras.

4.1

Samsung has also launched Galaxy A54 5G at Rs 38,999 in India and it has features like an IP67 rating and solid cameras, however, it doesn’t have a powerful processor.

So if you’re okay with slightly decent cameras than Galaxy A54 5G and you’re okay with missing IP67 rating then yes, OnePlus 11R 5G is a better device compared to Galaxy A54 5G.

Also, OnePlus 11R 5G is value for money device compared to Galaxy A54 5G as Samsung is charging a bit extra money for their A-Series smartphones.
