Realme 11 Pro Plus 5G Sunrise Beige Leather Color Back 1

RealMe is making things worse with number series phones, first, they went above 20k and now, they added a whooping 74 apps along with ads everywhere on the Realme 11 Pro Plus 5G.

Realme 11 Pro Plus 5G Price

The phone comes in Sunrise Beige (Leather), Oasis Green (Leather), and Astral Black (Plastic) color options and it will go for sale on 15th June 2023 via Flipkart and RealMe.com/in.

Realme 11 Pro Plus 5G Review

The Realme 11 Pro Plus 5G doesn’t offer anything new except for the back design while the Rs 27,999 is not justifiable for what RealMe is offering. So if your budget is above Rs 25,000 then kindly stay away from this phone and look for phones like Nothing Phone 1 or newly launched Moto Edge 40 5G.

So No, the Realme 11 Pro Plus 5G is not worth buying at Rs 27,999 because it has decent cameras, a low-end processor, and lots of ads in the Ui with 74 pre-installed apps. However, if you’re a fan of the curved panels and leather back then you can consider this phone otherwise, skip it.

Display

I’m not a big fan of curved displays but this is becoming a trend these days in mid-budget smartphones because it gives you that premium feeling whereas premium phones are now moving to flat displays.

Nonetheless, it’s a choice that users need to make whether to go with a curved panel or a flat one.

Now the RealMe 11 Pro Plus has the best panel as it has a 120Hz AMOLED curved panel with 950nits peak brightness.

RealMe has also added an in-display fingerprint sensor which again works fine.

Now, as per RealMe, the phone does have HDR10+ support and it does show on YouTube but it’s not showing on any other OTT platform whether it’s Netflix or even Prime Video.

Another problem is, when watching HDR videos on YouTube, the color correction is not perfect.

For example, if you’re watching HDR video vertically and if you tilt horizontally then the color itself changes. Now, this is a big problem because this shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

Also, for some reason, Netflix is not showing on Google Play Store, I had to download the Netflix apk. Hope, this is just a software bug (I will update here if Netflix appears on Play Store)

This is all because of the software and it can be fixed but I doubt RealMe will fix it (looking at their past record).

You can also watch FHD+ videos as the phone has widevine L1 support.

Now, if you buy this phone, make sure to buy tempered glass along with it because the curved panel will get stretched very easily.

Overall, the RealMe 11 Pro Plus has a beautiful-looking display that too works well in Real Life usage, the only problem is the software.

Build and Design

It won’t matter if the phone has a Leather back, Plastic back, or even Glass Back because Most of the users in India will case, so the design is not a big topic to talk about.

It’s subjective, I might like Leather but you might prefer glass or some will say, I like Plastic back because it makes the phone lightweight.

Now, to make things easy, I will add all the color options, so it will be easy for you to understand which color comes with Leather and Plastic back.

So talking about the build,

The plastic frame doesn’t feel that great, I mean this is a Rs 27,999 smartphone and yet RealMe didn’t bother to add an aluminum frame while yes, the Leather looks and feels amazing.

Performance

Mediatek Dimensity 7050 (6 nm) is a re-branded version of Mediatek Dimensity 1080 (6 nm) which wasn’t known for gaming at all.

This doesn’t mean, you can’t play games on RealMe 11 Pro Plus, you can but if you’re a Pro-Gamer who plays mobile games for hours then you won’t get the best gaming experiences with this phone.

As far as performance score goes, here, take a look;

The phone runs on RealMe UI 4.0 which has lots of ads. Now, the thing is, you can disable ads but not 100%, you will see a few ads here and there.

So make sure you disable things like Hot Games, Hot App, and even Security apps by Realme.

Now, the big thing is, the phone comes with tons of pre-installed apps which are uninstallable but still, you will have to spend 10 to 30 minutes.

What I’m trying to say is, the phone is priced at Rs 27,999 and this doesn’t feel or look like a Rs 27,999 experience from any angle.

One more thing, RealMe has promised 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security updates.

The moral of the story is, don’t buy RealMe 11 Pro Plus 5G for gaming while the UI is improved but it has lots of ads.

Cameras

Wanna Play the game, oh, sorry RealMe already played the game by adding a 200MP sensor in RealMe 11 Pro Plus.

The problem with the 200MP sensor is, it takes good images by default but when I took a few images in 200MP mode, it wasn’t doing a great job in dynamic range and even the color reproduction wasn’t perfect at all.

Looks like, RealMe has added a bigger sensor because this is the Pro Plus model, and forgot to optimize the same.

The good news is, this time, the sensors are not boosting colors too much, they’re trying to make the colors as natural as they can.

RealMe has also added night mode which is improved and better compared to the last gen which does reflect well in videos as well as photos.

They have also added tons of filters which you can use if you use modes like beauty.

The OIS works well in videos but it only works perfectly in 1080p videos and doesn’t do well in 4k videos.

By the way, don’t compare the video quality or even stabilization to the newly launched Motorola Edge 40 5G or even Nothing Phone 1.

RealMe has worked on the OIS but it’s not the best as the Rs 27,999 price tag. It needs lots of optimization.

Talking about 8MP ultra-wide, this takes good images under good light but when it comes to low light, it softens the images. So my advice would be, try not to use the ultra-wide lens at night.

Again, the 2MP macro sensor is added for showcase, so let’s move on to the 32MP front cameras.

This is a typical Realme’s front camera, it tries to add whiter colors to the human subject. So if you have dark skin then you will look white and smarter because the front camera will soften your skin.

Also, yes, the front camera does take bit-saturated selfies.

Coming to front videos, this is not where near to rear cameras. So expect whiter and more colorful videos.

Concluding everything from features to bigger sensors, the RealMe 11 Pro Plus 5G has good cameras but this is not a well-priced smartphone, this would have been a great option at Rs 24,999 but at Rs 27999, it doesn’t have the good cameras at all.

Audio

We have stereo speakers in RealMe 11 Pro Plus 5G but sadly there is no 3.5mm audio jack present. The dual speaker is good, about 35% volume comes from the top speaker, and the remaining comes from the bottom speaker.

The call quality is good and it has carrier aggregation support along with 9 5G bands (n1, n3, n5, n8, n28A, n40, n41, n77, and n78).

Battery

There is Nothing to worry about the battery at all as it has a 5,000mAh battery with a whopping 100W fast charging support which will take about 30 minutes to charge from 0 % to 100%.

Also, the 100W charger is supplied in the box.

The Mediatek Dimensity 7050 is a power-efficient processor, so you can expect about a day of battery life but if you’re a heavy user then expect to charge the device by 4 to 5 PM.

The good news is, it has 100W charging support, so nothing to worry about regarding the battery. Just plug the phone and take a shower and the battery will be near to full.

Summary

RealMe 11 Pro Plus is a pricey smartphone that doesn’t offer something that can justify the Rs 27,999 price tag, yes it does have 100W charging and a curved panel but apart from this, this is an average phone with ads in the UI.
