Redmi Note 11 Pro Review
Yes, Redmi Note 11 Pro is worth buying but it’s a bit pricey compared to its competition, also, the phone doesn’t have 5G and the processor doesn’t justify the 18k price tag, overall, this would have been a good smartphone at 16k.
The phone has a 108MP quad-camera setup, nowhere, I would say, don’t go by the numbers, the camera quality is kind of average, they have just added a bigger sensor, nothing else.

It does have a great display, that 120Hz AMOLED display is better than any other budget smartphone, the speakers quality is also great and the same can be said for the build too.
The MediaTek Helio G96 is a powerful processor but it’s not a battery-efficient processor.
Overall, for the price of Rs 17,999, Redmi Note 11 Pro is not the best smartphone to buy in India, the pricing should have been 16k or they could have gone with a better processor.
I get it, most of the brands are facing chip shortages and inflation is going up and up but still, 18k for Redmi Note 11 Pro is not justifiable.

Display Quality
We have the same display as Redmi Note 10 Pro, with no changes…
The Redmi Note 11 Pro comes with a 6.67-inches 120Hz AMOLED display with 1200 nits pick brightness and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution.
The front is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 while there is glass on the back and the frame is made out of plastic.
As of now, we have two phones under Rs 20,000 that have a 120Hz AMOLED display, both of them are from Xiaomi and both of them don’t have 5G support.

So yes, there is nothing to worry about the display, Redmi has used the best display.
There won’t be any kind of problems while playing games or watching movies. Also, it does have Widevine L1 support, so yes, you will be able to watch FHD+ content on OTT apps.
Overall, just like last year, can’t complain much about the display because it’s the same as Redmi Note 10 Pro.
Cameras
Let me tell you one thing if the phone has a bigger sensor like 64MP or even 108MP that doesn’t mean, the phone will give the best images.
Companies like Xiaomi and RealMe add bigger sensors, so they can market the smartphone and that’s it, there is nothing more to it.
So be careful when you see bigger sensors on budget smartphones.
Now, coming to the Redmi Note 11 Pro…
It has a 108MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro sensor while there is a 16MP selfies shooter on the front side.
Both the front and rear cameras can shoot videos up to 1080p@30fps.
This phone is priced at Rs 17,999 and yet, Redmi didn’t add support for 1080p@60fps which is not acceptable.
The videos do come out great under good lighting but when it comes to low lights or when we shoot video at night, it loses out on details and the sensor is trying to sharpen the video.
Now, I can’t expect too much from video because of this budget smartphone but still, I feel, that if Redmi is charging 18k then they should optimize the videos.
The same can be said for the front camera too.
The 108MP sensor captures a good image, the details come out good, no issue with the dynamic range too. The night photos also come out well.
Now, that 8MP ultra-wide lens also takes a good image but when it comes to low lights, it loses out on details and this can be fixed with an OTA update.
Still, it depends on Redmi whether they gonna fix this issue or not.
By the way, the night ultra-wide images are usable but they don’t give that 18k vibe.
Now, the 2MP+2MP sensors are added for marketing only, so we gonna skit it.

Coming to the front side, the 16MP selfie shooter takes some great images, the details are good, and the dynamic range is also great but Redmi is trying to whiten the images.
In short, the front camera doesn’t capture the natural colors.
Overall, if we put that 108MP sensor aside then still, I feel, redmi needs to work on the camera department to justify the Rs 17,999 price tag.
Now, the phone doesn’t have a bad camera but it’s also not the best too, you can call these decent cameras which can be improved with OTA updates.
Performance
We have seen MediaTek Helio G96 in Infinix Note 11s (review) which is available at Rs 12,999 and even in RealMe Narzo 50 (review) and which is available at Rs 12,999.
Now, the Redmi Note 11 Pro also has the same SoC but this is priced at Rs 17,999.
There is no issue with the processor, it’s a great processor but it doesn’t worth the Rs 17,999 price tag.
Also, MediaTek Helio G96 is built on 12nm architecture which means, it will affect the battery life too.
Again, the phone doesn’t have 5G support, you have to live with 4G even if 5G launches in India in 2023.
By the way, Redmi Note 11 Pro runs on MIUI 13 based on Android and redmi has promised 2 years of OS updates.

This way, the phone will get Android 12 and 13. Android 12 is around for months and still, Redmi didn’t launch this smartphone with Android 12…
Overall, if you’re a gamer then I don’t recommend this smartphone because you can get this same SoC at 13k too.
In short, MediaTek Helio G96 doesn’t work the 18k price tag.
Audio Quality
The phone comes with a stereo speaker and the quality of the dual speakers is also great. Redmi has also added secondary noise-cancellation microphone too which will help a lot in calling.
It also has a 3.5mm audio jack, so you can use wired as well as Bluetooth earphones.
Overall, there won’t be any kind of issue with calling as well as audio, Redmi has done a great job this time.
Battery Life
As I have said, MediaTek Helio G96 is built on 12nm architecture which means, it will affect the battery life too.
It does have a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, the phone will take only 15 minutes to charge from 0% to 51%.
There is no doubt, that the processor is not the best for battery but still, that 67W charger will help a lot keep in mind, that use 67W otherwise, you won’t get that super-fast charging speed.
Overall, the battery will last for a day but if you’re not a casual user then you will have to charge this smartphone two times a day.

Redmi Note 10 Pro (review) was the overall best smartphone under Rs 20,000 in 2021 and still, it is but the same can’t be said for Redmi Note 11 Pro.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro is not for everyone,
If you want a 120Hz AMOLED display and 67W fast charging and if you can live with a decent camera and average performance then do consider the Redmi Note 11 Pro otherwise still, Redmi Note 10 is a better option.
