Dizo Watch R Talk Review

If you wanted good looking smartwatch with solid build quality and Bluetooth calling then yes, the Dizo Watch R Talk is worth buying but if you wanted a smartwatch for fitness tracking then this might be not the best option as it doesn’t have built-in GPS.

Dizo has added 110+ built-in sports modes but having built-in GPS helps a lot while running outdoors and built-in GPS can also help to calculate the footsteps and calorie burn more accurately.

Concluding everything from price to features, the Dizo Watch R Talk is a solid option under Rs 5000 in India, it has almost everything that a budget smartwatch should have, its just that, Dizo is focusing more on build and Design rather than fitness side of things.

Dizo Watch R Talk: Display

The Dizo Watch R Talk comes with a 1.30-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 360×360 pixels and 392 PPI Density while it has 500 nits pick brightness.

The screen brightness is well-balanced, whether you want to use a smartwatch outdoors or indoors, you will be able to do everything from reading text to calling someone via Bluetooth.

The watch does have a few bezels but you won’t notice them in day-to-day life because dizo has added numbers on the rotating bezel. The rotating bezel is not functional, it’s just added for design and to hide bezels.

The screen is responsive too, the AMOLED panel produces vibrant and deep colors which will please your eyes.

Overall, you will be more than happy with the display quality, its good quality AMOLED display with responsive watch UI.

Dizo Watch R Talk: Design, Comfort, and Build

Here is the selling part,

The smartwatch has a metal frame and Stainless Steel Buckle while the strep is made out of Silicone and the back side is made from plastic.

Because of the metal, the Dizo Watch R Talk has 61 grams of weight (without a strap). Now for those who wanted a budget yet premium-looking smartwatch then you can consider the Dizo Watch R Talk because the metal build

The strap quality is also great but still, for some reason if you don’t like the default strap then you can always order a new 22m strap from amazon and it will look as good as the default one.

The watch is also comfortable to wear, you can also wear the watch at night too and you won’t feel uncomfortable at all.

Now keep in mind, the watch has 61 grams of weight, so if you have used lightweight smartwatches then it may take some time to get used to it.

The Dizo Watch R Talk has a solid build, it’s comfortable to wear and the design makes it more appealing.

Dizo Watch R Talk: Application

Now, to connect everything, you will have to download Dizo App from Play Store. The app has all the features that a smartwatch app should have. You will be able to see, the battery percentage, steps, calories, sleep tracking, and heart rate graph.

Also, the Dizo Watch R Talk doesn’t have built-in GPS, Dizo has added a GPS page inside the application from where you will be able to use smartphone GPS on a smartwatch.

By the way, you won’t face any kind of problems while connecting your smartwatch to the application, Dizo is using an instant connection which means, that whether you want to make calls or use any other feature, the watch will be connected to your smartwatch 24/7.

Dizo has also added 150+ watch faces inside the Dizo App but if you don’t like any of the pre-added watch faces then you can always use your image or any other image for the watch face.

The app is well-organized and you won’t face any kind of problem while using it. By the way, the Dizo app will only work on iOS 11+ & Android 5.0+ devices.

Dizo Watch R Talk: Health and Fitness Tracking

I have said many times when reviewing a smartwatch, don’t rely 100% on smartwatches, these gadgets will give close to accurate data, so if you have a serious medical condition then always visit the hospital.

Back to the Dizo Watch R Talk,

It has an optical heart rate sensor that provides close to accurate data, so keeps the error margin around 5%. So let’s say, the oximeter shows 99% SpO2 data then the Dizo Watch R Talk will show you around 97 to 99.

Now, this is not bad at all, the oximeter is well-placed on the fingers while a smartwatch can lose some time which I have already explained on WearablesDrop.

The same goes for Heart Rate while stress monitoring is just an add-on feature, so don’t trust the stress data at all.

Brands like Fitbit use a dedicated sensor to calculate Stress level while RealMe is just using the software.

Here comes sleep monitoring,

For some reason, the sleep data was not accurate for me, about a day ago I was watching Friends on Netflix at around 8 PM but somehow, Dizo Watch R Talk counted a few extra hours in sleep tracking.

I went to sleep at 11 PM but Dizo App was showing that I went to sleep at 8:45 PM.

We all know that sleep data is calculated by a gyroscope, accelerometer, and heart rate sensor. Now, the fact is, heart rate and SpO2 data were on point but sleep tracking wasn’t which means, it’s a software issue and not a hardware issue.

So I hope, Dizo fixes this issue very soon while the same issue is present on Dizo Watch D Talk too.

The raise-to-wake feature also works fine and you will be able to disable and enable the feature directly from the smartwatch, you don’t need to open the app for it.

Dizo has also added all the necessary features like 150 watch faces, 110-built-in sports Modes, a Female cycle, a Drinking Reminder, an Activity Tracker, Heart Rate Monitor, SpO2, and Stress Monitoring too.

Overall, expect Sleep Tracking, Dizo Watch R Talk is a good option even for exercise, it’s not the best option for outdoor running as it doesn’t have built-in GPS.

Dizo Watch R Talk: Bluetooth Calling

Take the Bluetooth Calling feature as an add-on because it doesn’t work the best outdoors, it works the best indoors because of the less noise.

Now, RealMe has added a loudspeaker in this smartwatch compared to RealMe Watch 3 Pro but still, if there are lots of people and noise then you might have a hard time hearing other person’s voice on the call.

This means, the microphone quality is great, and another person will be able to hear your voice even in a bit crowded place, the problem comes with the speaker.

You also have to keep in mind that, this is a budget smartwatch and Dizo has added almost all the features except the built-in GPS, so this looks like a quality issue, the used speaker is not top class.

Overall, it’s good to see a microphone and speaker in the budget smartwatch and I hope it gets better with a next-generation smartwatch.

Dizo Watch R Talk: Battery

When you see, Bluetooth calling, you will have to assume that battery life won’t be good and it’s true…

So yes, the battery life won’t be as good as any other budget smartwatch because it has a calling feature and it will consume more battery.

Just like every single Wearable Brand, Dizo has also promised 10 days of battery life but that won’t happen in Real Life.

If you use all the features from SpO2, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and even Bluetooth calling then expect the battery life to be around 2 to 3 days battery life.

A little bit of everything will give you decent battery life but if you use Bluetooth calling too much then the battery will last for only a day.

Now, if you don’t use all the features then you will get a battery life to be around 6 to 7 days. (No Bluetooth calling, no heart rate monitoring, no SpO2, and No Sleep Tracking)

Of course, battery life will depend on every user and how they use the smartwatch. So take these numbers to get an idea about the battery.

Summary

Dizo Watch R Talk is made for everyone except the fitness freak, the watch doesn’t have built-in GPS, so it won’t give you more accurate fitness data but for day-to-day usage, the smartwatch is the best option as it has everything from AMOLED Display, Metal Build, all the sensors, and even Bluetooth calling.

In conclusion, don’t buy Dizo Watch R Talk for running and gym.

So yes, if you’re looking budget smartwatch and if your budget is Rs 5000 then you can consider the RealMe Watch 3 Pro.
