Is it Worth Buying Google Pixel 6A?

Guess who is back after Pixel 4A, Google has just launched a new smartphone after years in India at a premium price tag. The Pixel 6A is priced at Rs 43,999 for 6GB of Ram and 128GB of storage while it’s available in Chalk and Charcoal colors option and will go for sale on 28th July 2022 via Flipkart at noon.

So let’s see why Google Pixel 6A is not for everyone?

Is it Worth Buying Google Pixel 6A?

No, the Google Pixel 6A is not worth buying because it’s an overpriced smartphone, at 44k we have tons of better options that offer a better display, build, performance, and even good cameras, so it doesn’t make any sense to pay a premium just because of stock UI.

There is no doubt that the Pixel phone takes better images but we also need to see the price tag too, at 44k, we have phones like Motorola Edge 30 Pro 5G and even RealMe GT 2 Pro.

By the way, for those who don’t know, the Pixel 6A is available at $450 (Rs 35000) in the USA.

In the end, if you want to buy a smartphone with Stock Android and good cameras then do consider the Pixel 6A otherwise you also have Motorola Edge 30 Pro which also offers the same.

You can clearly see that the Google Pixel 6A is not a value money device but still if you have money to spend and wanted to buy Pixel then there you go, you have an option now even in India.

Yes, the Pixel 6A has a 60Hz 6.10-inches OLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 PIxels. Now, we all know that there are tons of smartphone that offers 120hz and even 144Hz OLED display under Rs 50000, so getting 60hz is kind of disappointed.

When users buy a new smartphone in India, they will keep the phone for two to three years, so having 60hz after year will feel a bit slow because we will have better displays.

In the end, it’s all about price, I would have loved this phone at even 35k but now it’s kind of pricey at 44k with that 60hz Panel.

For those who don’t know, Google Tensor is not made by Google, it’s an Exynos 2100 chipset, Google has made some improvements on top of that. Still, there won’t be any kind of issue while playing games or using it in day-to-day life.

Also, it runs on Android 12, its Pixel OS, this will be the best smartphone to get the latest Android updates.

Keep in mind that, Pixel 6 and 6 Pro has tons of bugs, and Google is still, fixing them…

Battery & Audio

The battery will last for a day with normal use but if you’re a heavy user then you will have to charge it twice a day. On top of that, the Pixel 6A only supports 18W wired charging, there is no wireless charging support…

By the way, you will have to buy an 18W charger separately because Google didn’t give a charger in the box, just like Nothing…

There is no doubt that Pixel phones take good images and the image will provide close to natural images but we also need to see that, what kind of smartphones are available at a 45k price tag.

As I have told you, we have Galaxy S21 FE 5G, Moto Edge 30 Pro 5G, and even RealMe GT 2 Pro 5G.

All in all, Google has imported this device from Vietnam and that’s the reason why it’s priced higher side, so here you have to decide what you really want in your next smartphone.

If you ask me, I will look for value for money device, and here, I don’t see that value in Pixel 6A, especially in India.

Verdict

Yes, I’m disappointed with Indian pricing but Google has also imported this device from Vietnam, so they have also paid GST and import duty and they priced it accordingly but normal users won’t see those things, they will see the price and decide.

Again, before you make a purchase wait for the Pixel 6A review because there is a lot to be unpacked.
