Amazon was using old Fire TV Stick UI for years and it needed to change. It looks like Amazon heard it and they have announced new Fire TV UI which is rolling out on Fire TV Lite and 3rd gen. If you have all-new Fire TV Stick then just update the new UI but if you didn’t get new Update then let’s see some of the main changes that they have made with Fire TV.
Fire Stick TV update time-line
Fire TV Stick 2020 (3rd gen) and Fire TV Stick lite will get a new update at the end of December 2020 while old Fire TV or Fire TV 4k will get between Jan-Fab 2021.

All-new Fire TV Home Screen
As you can see on the images, the home screen looks way batter then what it use to look before. Now, the home page has new UI with a minimal look it. You can also see some of the most used apps on the home screen with Live TV tab and app library.
Find Content Tab
This is the new tab where you will see all the category in one place. Whether you can watch, action movies, comedy shows or anything else, everything will be there. Good thing is, it will show all the OTT apps data including Netflix, Hotstar or other OTT apps.

I would love to see, how Amazon will show data here because as of now, Fire TV UI is in favour of Amazon. If you see Fire TV home screen or any other tab, there is more content from Prime videos then other OTT platforms.
Amazon has also added some free ad-supported content but this too is only available in the US. I hope, all the US only feature make it’s way to India very soon.
Profiles are on Fire TV Stick
As of now, you can’t change profiles on Fire TV Stick but now with the new update, you can setup up to six profiles. You can choose, profile from the home screen. There is also an option to set Kids profiles but this is only available in the US.
This is the best thing to have, all the search, watch history, wishlist and everything else will be divided into six profiles. No one will mess up with your recommendation.
