Build and Display Quality
The Amazfit GTS 2 comes with huge 1.65-inches AMOLED display and 341ppi pixel density which means the screen will be visible outdoor and there won’t be any problem while using Amazfit GTS 2 under sunlight.
The display is anti-fingerprint which means, that even if you touch the screen, your fingerprint won’t stay on the screen.
The smartwatch is made out of Aluminum which looks premium and beautiful as always. Now, this is a square-shaped smartwatch and there are some people who don’t like the square-shaped design. So, those people can take look at Amazfit GTR 2 which has all the same features are GTS 2 but it comes with a rounded design.
Also, the smartwatch does come with carbon (DLC) coating to provide scratch-resistant but that doesn’t mean it’s 100% scratch-resistant, the watch may get scratched but it won’t get scratched very easily. Still, this is a cool feature to have as most f people won’t use a watch with temper glass.
Design and Comfort
If you look at last gen Amazfit GTS and new-gen GTS then you won’t see a huge difference in design as both the watch looks the same except for that one button which is now, attached to the body.
The Amazfit GTS weight is about 31.5 grams without the strap. This is not a heavy smartwatch-like RealMe Watch S Pro. So there won’t be any problem while wearing GTS 2 all the time, sometimes, you won’t even feel the watch.
Like I said, if you don’t like a square-shaped smartwatch then don’t buy this watch as this won’t be comfortable for you, there is also GTR 2 which comes with a rounded design, so do check out this watch.
Features
The full fledged smartwatch as it has a microphone and speaker which means you can take calls via Bluetooth and use the voice assistant to do all the tasks without using your fingers. The Amazfit GTS 2 also comes with in-built GPS which is very helpful feature to have, I mean you don’t have to carry a smartphone with you all the time, you see the map in the watch itself.
I have tested GPS on RealMe Watch S Pro, this one has very bad GPS implementation, it takes hall lot of time to connect with GPS but with GTS 2, I didn’t face any problems. It works best and I haven’t had any issues yet.
As I have said, this is a full-fledged smartwatch and I mean it. The watch comes with 24-hour heart rate tracking, OxygenBeats AI Engine to measure blood-oxygen saturation, 12 built-in sports modes, 5ATM water resistance, seven days battery life, Stress monitor, Sleep tracking, and much more. You can also take calls with Bluetooth as this comes with an in-built microphone and speaker to listen to music.
Now, if you want to listen to music on the watch then you can do that too as this one has 3GB of internal storage which means you can store your favorite song in it. You don’t even need a smartphone for music anymore, just use TWS earbuds and you’re good to go.
As of now, you can only use Amazfit PowerBuds12 wireless headphones. I just hope I can use other wireless earphones to listen to music on GTS 2 soon…
Also, this is a waterproof smartwatch which means you go swimming while wearing the Amazfit GTS 2.
How to Use Voice assistant
To use Alexa voice assistant, just raised your hand up and say, open heart-rate monitoring or start the workout and Alexa will do all the work for you. You can also set the button to use Alexa but I think raise to wake is the best option as you will be using the button to go back and more.
By the way, you can also see the passcode which can be configured by using the Zepp application.
Overall, Amazfit GTS 2 is feature rich smartwatch that has almost all the features that you can think of. Let me know if I have missed any of the features in the comment box.
Battery Life
The Amzifit GTS 2 come with a 246mAh battery. As per Amazfit, the watch will give about 7-days of battery life with heart rate monitoring ON but if you use all the features then the battery will come down to 4 to 5 days which is low as compared to the last generation.
Everyone will gonna use the always-ON display, and heart rate monitoring, and some people will use sleep tracking too. Now, if you’re one of those people then expect the battery life between 3 days to 4 days.
In short, if you want 7-day battery life then Amazfit GTS 2 is not the best option for you. To get a week of battery life you have to spend more money and your budget can go above 20k.
Also, it depends on your daily use. If you don’t enable 24/7 heart rate monitoring and keep it to 5-minutes brack then the battery life can go above 4 days. Likewise, the battery will depend on user by user.
Conclusion
If you want a premium smartwatch at a mid-budget price range then this could be the best option for you. The Amazfit GTS 2 comes with an in-built microphone and speakers which means you can take calls with the watch, there is no need to pick up the smartphone when you get a call.
The display quality is great and it has solid build quality with stunning design. The Smartwatch has everything can you can think of, so if you want to buy a premium watch then don’t think too much Amazfit GTS 2 is the best option you have for this movement.
Do I recommend Amzfit GTS 2?
Yes, I do recommend Amazfit GTS 2 because it has what you looking for in the smartwatch but yes, you can’t put a SIM card and that’s the only thing missing on this watch.
