RealMe Buds Air 3s Review

Yes, the RealMe Buds Air 3s is worth buying if you’re looking for bass-centric truly wireless earbuds, it’s not the best option to listen to classical music because it has bass-boosted audio drivers which doesn’t focus on vocals or instrument much.

Build and Design

The buds have a good-looking design, and it’s made from 100% plastic but it doesn’t give a cheap quality vibe at all.

The top side has semi-transplant plastic which will let you see the buds from the outside, I wish RealMe went with 100% transplant plastic just like Nothing Ear 1.

Used plastic is matt but the gesture area has glossy plastic where you will be able to play pause, or increase/decrease volume.

Gesture Controls

It also has a type-C port for charging which again is a good thing because you don’t have to carry another cable just to charge RealMe Buds Air 3s.

All in all, the RealMe Buds Air 3s has an appealing design and it can also be used for workouts too because of the rubber grip while the IPX5 Water Resistant will make sure that a little bit of water won’t harm the buds.

Audio

This will be very simple to decide whether the RealMe Buds Air 3s is for you or not.

If you love party songs, especially Panjabi songs then without any doubt just go with RealMe Buds Air 3s but if you’re that person who loves to hear Love or even Sufi songs then you should stay away from the RealMe Buds Air 3s.

It also has a dedicated gaming mode which works but as I have said many times, never use budget TWS earbuds for gaming, there will be delays, no matter what the company says.

For connectivity Bluetooth 5.3 helps a lot, there won’t be any kind of issue.

Overall, you will love the bass but the same can’t be said for classical songs.

Features and Functions

RealMe has also added support for the RealMe Link app where you will be able to update the buds and even change the Gesture Controls as per your liking, you can also set Google Assistant as Gesture too.

There is also an equalizer present within the app, so if you want to play around with the music then just open the RealMe Link App and set the equalizer as per your test.

You can also enable Dolby Atmos from the app which will enhance the sound further.

By the way, if you want to use RealMe Buds Air 3s on a PC as well as on a smartphone then you can enable the dual paring option from the app and after that, with a single click, you will be able to switch RealMe Buds Air 3s whenever you want.

Call Quality

Even after having a total of 4 microphones, the call quality wasn’t that good. I mean 4 microphones are not a joke, there must be something wrong.

For example, if you’re in a crowded place then you will be able to hear another person on call but that other person won’t be able to hear your voice clearly, it will sound like you’re speaking on a big speaker.

The same doesn’t happen indoors but yes, your voice will sound like you’re speaking on a big speaker.

Battery

RealMe has claimed 30 hours of battery life but that’s not what you will get because your usage might be different than what RealMe has tested…

So if you listen to music and take calls then expect a battery life of around 3 to 4 hours, it also depends on how much volume you’re listening to music.

But if you mainly listen to music at 60% to 70% volume then the buds will last for 4 to 5 days. While charging case will let you charge the buds around 4 times.

There is also fast charging that will give 5 hours of battery backup on 10 minutes of charging.

Review

Budget truly wireless earbuds more focuses on bass because that’s what most users are looking for and the same strategy has been used by RealMe on RealMe Buds Air 3s. So if you wanted bass-heavy TWS with solid battery life and you don’t take many calls then you can consider the RealMe Buds Air 3s.
