Yes, Redmi 9 Prime is worth buying because the phone is powered by MediaTek G80 Processor and it’s priced at 10k. Overall, Redmi 9 prime is value for money smartphone, if you want to buy a smartphone under 10k in India then Redmi 9 Prime is easy to recommend.
Whenever I talk about smartphone I have to talk about its competition. So let’s see, what are the alternatives of Redmi 9 Prime?
RealMe Narzo 10 is also priced at Rs 11,999 for the same 4GB Ram and 128GB storage but this phone is not available in 4GB version that’s why Redmi 9 Prime is what I recommend. By the way, RealMe Narzo 10 is also powered by MediaTek G80 Processor, so performance is going to be the same.
RealMe Narzo 10 has a 48MP rear Quad camera setup while Redmi 9 Prime has a 13MP rear Quad camera setup. Let me clear one thing, more megapixel won’t give the best camera quality. In short, both these phones will give almost the same camera performance, so nothing to worry about.
For example, OnePlus Nord has a 48MP rear primary sensor while newly launched Pixel 4A has only 12MP rear primary sensor but in reality, Google Pixel 4A will give you way better images then what OnePlus Nord’s 48MP sensor will provide.

Conclusion
By the way, Redmi 9 Prime has ads in the OS, so you have to deal with ads that are not acceptable because you’re paying 10k for the phone and yet, you have to watch ads. Also, don’t go with that 128GB version because that doesn’t make any sense, you will only get more storage, not Ram.
So it’s better to go with only a base variant. Now, I hope Xiaomi make available 4GB Ram and 64GB storage variant because most of these companies always try to sale 128GB storage version because they get more profit.
If you want to see a live example then just take a look at OnePlus, OnePlus Nord 6GB and 64GB storage version will be out in September 2020, so if you want to buy OnePlus Nord right now then you have to pay 27k or wait for a month to buy at 25k.
