RealMe X Design & Display

The smartphone comes with polycarbonate plastic uni-body and that said Realme hasn’t used metal or glass unibody on any of Realme device so far. The one thing I have noticed is, for a movement, I hasn’t noticed that plastic body because the company has done a really good job in the back of Realme X.

Overall plastic is going to be plastic, so make sure to carry back cover. In short, the Realme X has good build quality but I think at Rs 16,999 price point, if they have given glass build then it would be a great competition with Redmi K20.

Talking about Display quality, the handset has 6.53-inches Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with the resolution of 1080 pixels 2340. It also comes with motorized pop-up selfie camera setup and because of that Realme managed to get 85.9% screen-to-body ratio.

The smartphone also comes with in-display fingerprint sensor and frankly speaking it is quite faster then previews generation. As I have said earlier, no matter what company implements in a mid-premium device, you will see large bottom chin and I think it’s okay because a company can’t offer all the thing in the budget price point & it’s kind of expansive as well. If you want to know more about “Why Budget Smartphone does have large bottom Chin” then I will put video link down below.

Overall, the viewing angles are really good and it’s because of the AMOLED display. So what I saying, the smartphone has good quality display & you will not gonna have any problem while using it.

As I said it has pop-up selfie camera setup which means while watching movies or playing games, display notches will not bother you at all. In-short RealMe X has wonderful display quality and considering the price tag, compnay has provided a good display.

RealMe X Cameras

Yet the company hasn’t used triple rear-facing camera setup in any RealMe device and it’s kind of surprising because every single company is using triple rear camera setup and it’s kind of good for marketing as well. -megapixel

By the way, the smartphone comes with a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel primary sensor with F/1.7 aperture & 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front side, it has a 16-megapixel motorized selfie shooter with F/2.0 aperture.

The rear camera can shoot video in 4k resolution and it also has a 960p slow-motion recording feature. The selfie camera can only shoot video in 1080p.

We have tested RealMe X cameras in several conditions and yes personally speaking it has best camera setup in budget price range until Redmi K20 comes. The smartphone performed really well in good lighting conditions & surprisingly even in low lighting conditions it performed really well,  images shot by RealMe X will be provided down below if you want to take a look.

Overall if you are looking for a smartphone at Rs 16,999 & if you like RealMe brand then this might be the best deal for you. But I just wanna add one thing here, the Redmi K20 is launching on 17th July 2019, so just wait for this device and after that choose any of that device.

RealMe X Performance

I know you all disappointed because RealMe x is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 soc which is built on 10 nm technology with Adreno 616 GPU inside and Octa-Core 2×2.2 GHz Kryo 360 Gold & 6×1.7 GHz Kryo 360 CPU.

Because of this chipset, many of consumer will wait for Redmi K20 because that device is powered by Snapdragon 730 and if you are getting better internals at the same price then why people go with the older chipset.

That doesn’t mean Snapdragon 710 soc is not a good chipset but 710 soc is kind of old chipset and right now we have snapdragon 730 & 730G. By the way, RealMe x will perform well in day to day tasks &  even while playing games you will not gonna see any problems.

In the past, we have seen this 710 soc in RealMe 3 Pro (Review) and as we all know, that device to perform really well in every department, especially in gaming department due to Adreno 616 GPU.

One thing I have to mention in every Realme mobile article is, the device is running on color OS 6.0 based on Android Pie. As I have said in the previews article, color OS is not that great when it’s come to Ram management. I’m not a fan of color OS at all but if you can deal with complicated UI then nothing you need to worry about.

We have played every single game that is popular in play store right now and the smartphone has performed really well and I haven’t seen any lag or heating issue.

Overall RealMe have done a good job here but if they used Snapdragon 730 soc then it would be a great deal at Rs 16,999.

RealMe X Battery

The smartphone is packed with 3,750 mAh non-removable battery with 20W VOOC charging technology and yes it has a Type-C port.

Overall in our uses, the smartphone lasts for about the whole day if you are a little heavy user but if you are kind of normal or casual user then it might last for 1 & half-day.

Battery life will depend on your daily uses like what kind of games you are playing, how much time you spend on a mobile phone etc.

RealMe X Review Conclusion

The RealMe x is priced at,

4 GB | 128 GB : Rs 16,999
8 GB | 128 GB: Rs 19,999

Spider-Man: Far From Home version
8 GB | 128 GB: Rs 20,999

Personally price for base variant is a little bit higher because you are getting 710 Soc at Rs 16,999 and I think it’s not worth it at this time but of course if you like RealMe brand then it’s not a bad deal at all.

If you see an overall, it has full view display, pop-up selfie camera setup, type-C port, VOOC charge technology, in-display fingerprint sensor. I think it’s good but it’s a little bit overpriced, so if you have money to spend then go with RealMe X or you can wait for Redmi K20 till 17th July 2019.

By the way, the Redmi K20 is powered by Snapdragon 730 soc with Adreno 618 GPU, it runs on MIUI 10 based on Android Pie (9.0). The device is available in three variant, 8 GB/ 256 GB, 6 GB/ 64 GB and 6 GB/ 128 GB internal storage and yes there is no micro SD slot present in any variant. The smartphone comes with 6.39-inches Full HD+ display with the resolution of 1080 pixels by 2340 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

Coming to the camera department, the Redmi K20 has triple rear camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. One the front side, it has Motorized pop-up 20-megapixel selfie shooter with. There is also a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery with 18W fast charging support.

That’s all in RealMe X Review but still, if you have any kind of question then feel free to ask me in the comment section below.
