Is it Worth Buying IQOO Z3 5G? Better than OnePlus Nord CE?

IQOO Z3 5G

IQOO is trying to become the new OnePlus and that might happen in the future but now, it’s not the time. We will talk about that topic some other day but now, IQOO has launched a budget smartphone in India and it has the best specifications on paper but when it comes to real life, it’s just another budget smartphone.

IQOO Z3 5G is powered by a new Snapdragon 768G processor, 4400 mAh battery with 55W fast charging support, 120Hz LCD display, triple rear camera setup, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 5G support, and it’s priced at Rs 19,999 for 6GB of Ram and 128GB storage.

As you can tell from the specs, this is an ideal phone for anyone but it’s not. So let’s see, Is It Worth Buying IQOO Z3 5G but before that let me tell you the India price of IQOO Z3.

IQOO Z3 5G (6GB + 128GB)Rs 19,999
IQOO Z3 5G (8GB + 128GB)Rs 20,999
IQOO Z3 5G (8GB + 256GB)Rs 22,999

The IQOO Z3 5G is available in Ace Black, Cyber Blue color options and it’s sold via Amazon India.

Is It Worth Buying IQOO Z3 5G?

No, IQOO Z3 5G is not worth buying because the phone has lots of bugs in the UI and there is no update on when IQOO will fix the problems. So you can’t just buy a product on a future update. The phone does have a good processor, decent cameras, decent battery life but it has ads in the UI, the phone asks for unnecessary permission all the time. In short, IQOO Z3 could have a good option, if they have worked on UI.

The Fun Touch UI

Everyone is different and some people will like Fun touch UI and some won’t and that’s not the problem here. So what’s the problem? IQOO has replaced the Google Chrome browser default page with their own Page and that page has ads.

Also, by default, IQOO has granted all the permission to the Theme store without asking you and when you disable the theme store permission, IQOO asks for more permission which you have to give otherwise you won’t able to disable the theme store.

Also, some of the functions require permission. So you have to grant permission and give your IP address, Phone details, and more to IQOO and that details will be stored by IQOO for the next three years and of course, IQOO can share all of your details with other company because you have click on Yes button.

These are the few things I have mentioned here, there are lots of features either don’t work or asks for permission. In short, Fun Touch OS is a mess on IQOO Z3, if you still want to buy the phone then go aahed, at your risk.

The Phone itself?

Talking cameras, the IQOO Z3 comes with a 64MP primary sensor + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro sensor while there 16MP selfie shooter. In one line,

The camera doesn’t have the best image quality, it oversaturates the colors and details is also not that great. The same can be said for the front camera too, In short, considering the price tag, the IQOO Z3 5G had average cameras.

Some people will say, the phone has a powerful chipset under a 20k price tag which is not true because we have POCO X3 Pro and it’s powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC.

What I’m saying is, if you don’t want that 5G support then it’s doesn’t make any sense to spend 20k on IQOO Z3.

Also, the phone only has N77 & N78 5G bands, so it’s not like you’re getting true 5G support. One more thing, 5G network is not available in India and there is no update from the Indian Government or India network provider when 5G will roll out all over India.

Till, the 5G launches in India, I would go with the best 4G Android smartphone rather than a balanced 5G phone.

Coming to battery life, it has a 4,400 mAh battery with massive 55W fast charging support. Again, let’s not talk about Fun Touch OS, the battery will last for a day and even if it doesn’t, use a 55W charger.

Conclusion: Buy or not?

I think you already know, what to do with IQOO Z3 but still, let me tell you my opinion,

5G is not available in India, so let’s just remove 5G from IQOO Z3. Now if you look at this phone without 5G then it’s another budget phone, you will get better performance, a better camera, and better everything with Redmi Note 10 Pro Max or if you want clean UI then you can also check out the Moto G60 Fusion.

Also, if you want gaming phone, close your eyes and go with POCO X3 Pro.

You got it, if I have to recommend a phone then I won’t say, IQOO Z3 is the best phone available in India under 20k because it’s not.
