Reasons to Not buy Budget 5G Phones in India

Reasons To Not Buy Budget 5G Phones In India

5G is not real in India, it will take some time to roll out 5G in India. Look at the United States, there also, 5G is not available in all the places. So it’s not possible to roll out 5G in India at the same time, in all the places.

When it comes to Budget 5G Mobile Phones, most of the mobile brands only provide 1 or 2 5G bands and they also don’t give the best specifications and because of that, budget 5G phones are kind of balanced.

We have RealMe Narzo 30 Pro, Realme X7, IQOO Z3, Mi 10i, and many other budgets 5G phones, and most of them have only one or two 5G bands. So let’s see, why is it not a good idea to buy a Budget 5G phone in India?

5G Bands

OnePlus Nord CE 5G has only one 5G Band, RealMe X7 has only two 5G Bands, IQOO Z3 has also One 5G Band. Now let’s say when 5G rolls out in India in all the places, do we know, what kind of 5G bands it will support?

No one knows, so having more than five 5G bands make more sense than just one or two because most of the people in India keep the smartphone for more than two years.

So when you buy a budget 5G smartphone, make sure it has at least five 5G bands, if the phone doesn’t have five 5G bands then It’s better to buy the best 4G smartphone rather than a balanced 5G phone which you can’t even call 5G because it only has one 5G band.

Compromises

The biggest Compromise you will see on the Budget 5G phone is the camera and build quality. We can forget about the build quality but cameras should be good and not balanced.

RealMe Narzo 30 5G has a 48MP + 2MP + 2MP rear camera from which 2MP+2MP sensors don’t make any sense as it’s added to market the smartphone. This is not the only phone with 2MP+2MP sensors, there many 5G phones available with the same camera setup.

When you buy a budget 5G phone, you’re not only buying a balanced smartphone, you’re Compromising because of the 5G tag, and that 5G tag is also not real.

Here I would say, if your budget is under Rs 20,000 in India then just go with Redmi Note 10 Series smartphone, choose any as per budget because Redmi Note 10, 10s, Pro, or even Max is the best phones available below 20k India.

Price?

When 4G phones launch in India, it will launch around 15k or 16k because it’s 4G phone but when 5G phones launch, it will be above 16k because it has a 5G tag.

So yes, 5G phones are expensive and you’re also not getting best specification for what you’re paying for 5G phone.

Conclusion: What to do?

If you ask me, I would say, buy the best 4G smartphone because 5G will not roll out in all the places in India and it’s not going to be as cheap as 4G network. So wait for 5G to roll out in India and see, what kind of bands it supports, and then think about buying a budget 5G phone in India.
