In India, we have smartwatches at 5k, 10k, 15k, and even at 50k but let’s not talk about an expensive smartwatch. Today, let’s time to talk about budget smartwatches.
The idea of a smartwatch is to not use a smartphone as often as you do but when it’s come to a budget smartwatch, everything is done from a smartphone, whether you want to take calls, want to make calls, or send messages.
If you’re buying a 10k smartwatch that means you can’t rely 100% on the smartwatch because most of the smartwatch at 15k or 20k doesn’t have a microphone or speakers, so you can’t make or receive calls on a smartwatch, you have to use smartphones to talk to someone.
So the question is, what does the company provide in a budget smartwatch if there is no option to make or receive calls?
Some of the smartwatches has best build quality along with premium looking design, here are the example,
- Amazfit GTS 2
- Amazfit GTR 2 (same as GTS 2 but rounded design)
On the other hand, we also have OnePlus Watch is worst thing that you can buy at 15k.
In short, when you buy a budget smartwatch under 20k, just forget about the calling feature. You’re only getting a bigger display and all the fitness features that can be found on fitness trackers.
Also, I’m a big fan of WearOS but No one wants to use clean WearOS, they want to put skin on it, just like Android and that’s where I feel, Android smartwatches are not as good as Apple Watches.
What’s this, Newsletter
By the way, Google has bought Fitbit and they are working on Smartwatch, so let’s see, what Google can provide.
The truth is, most of the budget smartwatches India are just fitness trackers with a bigger display because a budget smartwatch doesn’t have a calling feature and without that, it doesn’t make any sense to spend 20k on a smartwatch.
What to do?
If you can get a smartwatch at 6k or 7k with an AMOLED display then just go it or you can also take look at Honor Band 6 which is by far the best fitness tracker available in the market. Also, if you can get Honor Watch ES then go for it, it’s priced at 5k in India.
In the end, I would say, don’t spend 10k or more money on a smartwatch unless you’re getting a calling feature where you don’t have to use a smartphone.
That was it for today, I hope you find this article helpful, if you do, let me know, what you think about these budget smartwatches in the comments
