Samsung just launched the new smartphone under the Galaxy M series in India. The Galaxy 31s is the successor of Galaxy M31. Samsung did improved lots of things in this newly launched device but the phone has the same Exynos 9611 Processor.
This could be the best smartphone for those who want to buy non-Chinese smartphones in India, I mean Galaxy M31s is the best option. Now, if you want to buy value for money smartphone then let’s see is it worth buying under Rs 20,000 or not?

Is it Worth buying Samsung Galaxy M31s?
As I have said, if you want to buy a non-Chinese smartphone then Galaxy M31s is worth buying but if you want value for money smartphone then Galaxy M31 is not worth buying because the phone has the same Exynos 9611 Processor and old Gorilla Glass 3 on the front side. Overall, Galaxy M31s is not for everyone.
Now, let’s see what Samsung has improved in Galaxy M31s as compared to Galaxy M31?
Display Quality
Galaxy M31s comes with 6.50 inches FHD+ AMOLED display with 2400×1080 pixel resolution and the also has a punch hole. Let me tell you one thing, this phone has the best display quality under 20k in India, so there is no complaint about display quality.
If you see the front side, the bezels are also thick as compared to Galaxy M31. Yes, Samsung has improved display quality.
Build Quality
Samsung has used Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the front side while plastic on the rear side. So the build quality is not that great.
Cameras
Galaxy M31 has 64MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro lens, and 5MP depth sensor on the rear side while on the front side, the phone has 32MP selfie shooter with Sony IMX682 sensor.
By the way, rear and front camera can shoot video in 4k resolution which is a very good thing. Overall, you will get better cameras as compared to Galaxy M31 but you also need to pay Rs 19,499 for 6GB Ram and 128GB storage variant.
Performance
I don’t know why Samsung used Exynos 9611 Processor, they have used this chip in every single budget category smartphone, and yet, they just can’t let go of this processor. Samsung has given almost everything perfect in Galaxy M31s but the processor is where I don’t recommend this phone to everyone.
By the way, there is a huge difference between Exynos 9611 and Snapdragon 712. You can get Snapdragon 712 Soc at 13k and still, this chip will give you best performance while Exynos 9611 is also good chip but it’s not good when you get at 20k, Exynos 9611 should now given under 10k, no in 20k phone.
Battery Life
The Samsung Galaxy M31s comes with a massive 6,000 mAh non-removable battery with 25W fast charging support and that 25W charger will be included in the box.
Let me be clear here, you will get the best battery life and if in case that 6,000 mAh battery runs out in a single day then use 25W charger which will charge the phone 0% to 10% in 97 Minutes.
Samsung Galaxy M31 price and Availability
Samsung Galaxy M31s price in India starts from 19,499 for 6GB of Ram and 128GB storage while 8GB Ram and 128GB storage variant priced at Rs 21,499. The phone is available in Mirage Black and Mirage Blue color options and it will go for sale on 6th August 2020 through Amazon.
Conclusion
Yes, Samsung has improved lots of things in Galaxy M31s but still, they have used same Exynos 9611 Processor which is not good as compared to what POCO or Motorola is providing at cheaper price.
If you don’t play games on mobile then I would recommend this phone to you but if you play games like PUBG Mobile, COD Mobile, and if you want the best gaming experience then Galaxy M31s is not for you.
You can either go with POCO X2 or Motorola One Fusion Plus and both the phone is priced at Rs 17,499 but both of these phones are Chinese. In the end, it depends on you whether you want to buy a Non-Chinese mobile or value for money smartphone.
