Nokia 9 Pureview has been under development for many years and finally HMD Global launched Nokia 9 Pureview in the US for the price of $699 (Rs 48,500). The smartphone comes with five rear-facing cameras set up along with LED flashlight and it also has a single selfie camera setup but the question is, it worth buying Nokia 9 Pureview or not?, So let’s find out and take a closer look at this newly launched device.

Is it worth buying a Nokia 9 Pureview?

Talking about the camera, the Nokia 9 Pureview has five rear-facing camera setup featuring a 12-megapixel RGB sensor with 2X optical zoom, a 12-megapixel monochrome sensor with F/1.82 aperture and yes the smartphone has ZEISS optics.

The rear can capture up to 10-times amount of light compared to other cameras, so there nothing more to talk because, in short word, this camera setup will give you better sharpness, and a good amount of details.

The Nokia 9 Pureview doesn’t have any wide angle lens or not even Zoom lens that means you will not get wide-angle shots or super zoom shots like Huawei P30 pro but yes you will get perfect details in images.

Personally, this camera setup is not for everyone because normally a user will need wide-angle shots or Zoom Shots, and we already have seen that consumer don’t care about natural details when it comes to camera department, if a person can capture a clean & good image with smartphone camera then he gonna buy the device and this is what we have seen in MKBHD blind camera test.

In-short Nokia 9 Pureview is for a professional photographer or person who really likes the natural color instant of software tricks because the smartphone priced at $699 (Rs 48,500) and I don’t think a normal person wants this kind of camera setup in the smartphone but of course this my personal opinion. Now you know a camera is not the only thing in a smartphone right, so let’s jump into the software side.

Performance: Nokia 9 PureView

The Nokia 9 PureView is powered by last year Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 which is built on 10 nm technology with Adreno 630 GPU inside and Kryo 385 GPU, the device runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) and yes it has clean pure stock UI experience.

Now as you all know we have the latest 7 nm Snapdragon 855 Soc, so the question is why Nokia used old chipset, the Nokia 9 PureView is suppose to launch in mid of 2018 but for some technical reason, it can’t happen. And yes 845 soc is not that bad chipset but of course, if the latest version is available in the market then why you should buy an old version right.

And yes no doubt that Nokia 9 PureView has pure stock UI experience and if you want this stock UI than I think you should go with this smartphone but keep in mind you will also get Stock UI at the price of 20k, so it’s up to what you want in a smartphone.

Performance is going to be top notch because it has 845 soc and sock UI that means it gonna be a buttery smooth experience.

If you are buying this device then keep in mind that you are paying $699 (Rs 48,500) for old chipset and in coming time we gonna see 5 nm chipset, so yes after buying don’t feel like I have old chipset in my smartphone because it doesn’t matter whether smartphone has old chip or new, the only thing matter is how smartphone performs in day to day tasks.

I am not gonna go into the technical stuff because I already did that, so personally, I will not recommend you this device and all the reason I already mentioned in this article. But quick recap, it has last year chipset which is good but not best, it has a new camera setup which might not very useful, not normal users and price for this device is a little bit higher.
