We all know Facebook gonna go do that someday and this is that day. Facebook has started merging Facebook Messenger and Instagram chats on the Android and iOS platforms, there is no update on the web version yet.
If you’re wondering why, no merging with WhatsApp. Don’t worry, this will happen but after some time because WhatsApp is a widely used messaging platform and they don’t lose users. I know some people who already deleted their WhatsApp a and right now they are using either Telegram or Hike Messenger Telegram.
According to the Verge, several users in the US have noticed a new update pop-up on the app with the message “There’s a New Way to Message on Instagram” with a list of features including a “new colorful look for your chats,” more emoji reactions, swipe-to-reply, and the big one: “chat with friends who use Facebook.”
It looks like Facebook is testing this new feature in the US only. Don’t worry, if you want that feature then you will get it but after some time.
Facebook is trying to merge all the social media platform and if that happens then I’m curious to know what will happen with WhatsApp end to end encryption.
As of now, Facebook didn’t say, how that gonna works but I’m sure WhatsApp won’t very secure after all the integration. Now, let’s wait and see how they gonna do all merging in India because right now, no one got any update.
I curious to know what you think about this because most of the people don’t want this merging yet Facebook will do it.
