It has a 50MP primary sensor + 8MP ultra-wide lens + 2MP Macro while there is a 32MP selfie shooter.

So OPPO wanted to use the MariSilicon X, so they didn’t add the OIS support.

Now when you shoot videos at 4k@30fps, the videos don’t come out stable, it’s useable but it doesn’t feel natural. So if you want useable videos that look good then always use the 1080p@60fps.

Under good lighting, the 50MP sensor captures a good image but when there is low light or taking images at night, the sensor doesn’t provide good images, it loses out on details and there is a lot of noise in images too.

Overall, considering the price and the cameras, the OPPO Reno 8 Pro 5G doesn’t have the best cameras under Rs 50000 in India. Now, this says a lot as OPPO is marketing this device as a camera-centric smartphone.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max is a new processor from MediaTek and it will give a close performance to Snapdragon 888 SoC, so don’t worry about the performance.

By the way, the device runs on ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 and there are no words from OPPO for future updates but you can expect the Android 13.

I have already told you that, the ColorOS comes with tons of pre-installed apps which you can uninstall but still, it is there even after paying Rs 45999.

The OPPO Reno 8 5G comes with a 4,500 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support which will charge the device from 1% to 100% in 28 Minutes.

Battery Life

The OPPO Reno 8 Pro 5G comes with dual speakers and they’re also good too. Again, you will be more than happy with its quality.

Audio Quality

It has been written in history that OPPO charges a premium for their smartphone and the OPPO Reno 8 Pro 5G is not any different.

Verdict

Still, if you have money and wanted to buy an OPPO device under Rs 50000 then do consider it but if you’re looking for value for money smartphone then I have already recommended some of the options in next slide.
