OnePlus 11R 5G Review - 1 Problem

In-Depth Review

OnePlus 11R 5G price in India starts from Rs 39,999 for 6GB of Ram and 128GB storage while another 16GB of Ram and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 44,999.

BUY OnePlus 11R

It comes with 108MP primary, 8MP Ultra-Wide, and 2MP depth while there is an 16MP selfie shooter on the front

Skipping the 2MP depth sensor,

Skipping the 2MP depth sensor,

OnePlus has worked on the primary sensor but still, the images comes out bit saturated just like OPPO. However, its not too saturated.

Luckily, there is no issue with dynamic range with primary sensor, basically, it takes solid images under sunlight without any problems.

Talking about the 8MP Ultra-Wide,

No, doubt, OnePlus has worked on the night mode but sometime, the images comes with bit extra softness and even after having the night mode, the noise is too much.

Still, for the price of 40k, I feel, OnePlus has done good job and yes, the camera can be improved with OTA updates and I hope, OnePlus will do the same.

Talking about the 8MP Ultra-Wide,

The ultra-wide lens is kind of hit or miss, the reason being the smaller sensor size. Again, it does take useable images under sunlight but the same doesn’t reflect well under low light.

Also, there is some issue with the dynamic range, especially with an ultra-wide lens.

Now, this feels more like a software issue rather than a hardware issue, so I’m hoping that OnePlus will fix this with OTA updates.

The Front Camera

The Front Camera

The front camera is kind of okay and I feel most of the Indian users will love it as the images come out whiter and more saturated,

again, the front camera is nowhere near to Nothing Phone 1 or even Pixel 6A.

The videos

The videos

The rear cameras can shoot videos at 4k@30/60fps and 1080p@30/60fps while the front can shoot at only 1080p@30fps.

The OIS only works well in 1080p@30/60fps videos but it doesn’t do well in 40@30/60fps videos.

Now, if you love to shoot videos while walking or even running then it’s good news that the videos will come out stable as the OIS does work in videos too.

Overall, the phone has good cameras compared to OnePlus 10R but still, they're not as good as 40k price tag.

The phone comes with a 6.74-inches 120Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 1240 x 2772 and 1450 nits brightness.

This is the typical display you get with almost all mid-budget smartphones, so there is nothing new to talk about,

however, we don’t usually get curved panels at this price range which could buying point for some user

Overall, OnePlus has done fabulous when it comes to display or even build quality, can’t really complain about anything, it’s the best for a 40k price tag.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1 at 40k price tag, what else you can ask along with that, it’s running on Oxygen OS 13 based on Android 13.

In short, whether you want to play games, watch movies, use social media, or want to do any sort of work, you won’t face any kind of problems with performance at all.

OnePlus has also added 9 5G Bands including n1, n3, n5, n8, n28A, n40, n41, n77, and n78. So if the 5G is available in your city then you will be able to take advantage of it.

Just like any other smartphone, the OnePlus 11R 5G also has stereo speakers which work well.

Now, the phone doesn’t have the 3.5mm audio jack which is kind of justifiable as we don’t see this feature in mid-budget smartphones.

The OnePlus 11R 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging, there is no wireless charging but I feel for a 40k smartphone, it’s not a big deal.

The battery will easily last for two days if you’re a normal user. Normal users are who only use social media, a little bit of YouTube, and calling.

OnePlus 11R 5G is a smartly priced smartphone and its value for money device for a 40k price tag,
