Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi launched three smartphones this year in India and those three devices have the best specification among other smartphones and now recently some live images have been leaked and that indicate the Redmi Pro 2, so let’s take a closer look at this beast
Lu Weibing, Vice President and head of Redmi brand confirmed that we are working on Snapdragon 855 smartphone. The good thing is Xiaomi is working on a flagship device that means we are going to get a premium smartphone at a budget price point
Redmi Pro 2! Quick overview
On the images, you can see there are three cameras present on the rear side along with LED flashlight. If you can look closely on leaked images then you find out that there is no fingerprint sensor present on the backside of the device, it means the device has the in-display fingerprint sensor
The Redmi Pro 2 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 soc which is built on 7 nm technology with Adreno 640 GPU inside. About the price, the device might be priced under 30k because right now we have POCO F1 at 18K and some renders are indicated that POCO India could launch POCO F2 in April 2019, so Redmi Pro 2 will be priced under 30K
In the second image, you can see the device alongside Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. So now it’s confirmed that Redmi is working on the flagship device and we might see this device very soon. It will also feature 48 MP main rear-facing camera, depth sensor for a portraits shots and the third one might be the super zoom lens or super wide-angle lens
And yes this device will have a pop-up camera setup that you can see in the leaked poster.
