OPPO K3 Review: Design & Display Quality

The OPPO K3 has 6.50-inches AMOLED display, it also has the pop-up selfie camera setup and due to that OPPO able to get 91.9% screen to body ratio. Which means while watching movies & playing games you will get the best experience because of the Full view display.

The display is quite brighter that means if you are using this device under the sunlight then you will able to see what’s going to the display, and the display is AMOLED which menas color centers is better as compared to an LCD panel.

The OPPO K3 is protected with gorilla glass 5 which doesn’t mean this device will not gonna break, it just gives you better protection. In case accidentally you drop this device on the floor then it might survive, the company didn’t give 100% guaranty.

Talking about the design, it comes with a gradient finish on the rear side and it as glass unibody and like front side, the rear side is also protected with gorilla glass 5.

Overall, the smartphone great display quality and I think at Rs 16,990, OPPO is offering you a great deal.

OPPO K3 Review: Performance & Price

The smartphone is powered by very popular Snapdragon 710 chipset which is also present on RealMe X, RealMe 3 Pro, Xiaomi CC9 lite. As we have seen this chipset in many other devices, and all those devices did perform well in every department. And this is what I have noticed on OPPO K3,

I have almost played every single game, watched tons of movies & videos and did many other things that normal person do, and I haven’t face any issue. The OPPO K3 performed well in every department.

The one thing I have noticed is, ram management as I have said in previous articles Color OS is not that great when it’s come to ram management. So yes Ram management is okay but not great all tho it has Snapdragon 710 soc and I think it’s not chipset problem, it’s a UI (color OS) problem.

So yes if you like Color OS then there is nothing to worry about. Talking about the pricing, the smartphone is priced at,

6 GB | 64 GB : Rs 16,990
8 GB | 128 GB: Rs 19,990
8 GB | 256 GB (Not announced yet in India)

The Good thing is RealMe X & OPPO K3 is a price is same, now you can choose any one device and you will get same specifications apart of cameras but I have tested both the devices and camera result are almost same, more we gonna talk in the camera section.

Talking about my self, OPPO K3 & RealMe X prices are 1 thousand higher, if launched at 15,990 then it would be a great deal. but still you are getting an in-display fingerprint sensor, pop-up selfie camera setup, 20W fast charging support, Snapdragon 710 chipset, Full view display panel at Rs 16,990. I think still, it’s a great deal.

OPPO K3 Review: Cameras

The OPPO K3 has dual 16-megapixel primary Sony IMX471 sensor with F/1.7 aperture and 2-megapixel depth sensor with F/2.4 aperture. On the front side, it has 16-megapixel motorized pop-up selfie camera setup with F/2.2 aperture.

OPPO is known for its selfie camera setup and this is what you gonna get with OPPO K3, the surprising part is, rear cameras are also great on this device because normally OPPO focuses on the selfie of thing but that is not the case with this device.

Under good lighting condition, the rear camera does take good images but as I have said, pictures turn out a little bit overexposed. So if you have used RealMe or OPPO devices in this past then you will not gonna notice anything but if you have used Google pixels devices or Gcam then you might not like these cameras.

Personally I’ m not a big fan of overexposed or sharp images but the thing is, most of the people in India want white tint on images, and this is what we have seen in MKBHD aka Marques K. Brownlee blind camera test video.

Talking about the selfie camera, you don’t need to worry about the front camera because OPPO has done a really good job with selfie camera but yes this too has white tint on images. But I think, you will not gonna notice anything unless you are a photographer.

The smartphone also comes with dedicated night mode and frankly, this feature helps a lot when you take an image in low lighting conditions. OPPO also enable the camera2api which means you can use Gcam on this device.

Overall, the OPPO K3 has a good camera setup and if you can invest Rs 16,990 then there is nothing to think about, you can buy this device.

OPPO K3 Review: Battery

he OPPO K3 is packed with 3,765 mAh non-removable battery with 20W VOOC charging support and yes it has a Type-C port. It will last for the whole day and if you consume all the battery in one day then you can use VOOC charger to charge your device. As I have said any every smartphone review,

Note Battery life will depend on your daily uses like what kind of games you are playing, how much time you spend on mobile phone etc.

OPPO K3 Review: Conclusion

The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor, pop-up selfie camera setup, 20W fast charging support, Snapdragon 710 chipset, Full view display panel at Rs 16,990. And I think if you are planning to buy a smartphone below 20k then this might be a great choice for you.

You can also take a look at RealMe X but it has a plastic unibody, so now it depends on you, whether you want a 48-megapixel phone or glass unibody phone. From my side, both devices are great on their own.

If in case you plan to buy OPPO K3 then it’s available for Open sale on 23rd July 2019 at noon via Amazon In (Click here to buy).
