Infinix Hot 10 Review with Pros and Cons
Infinix is making it’s way to budget segment and this time they are offering value for money devices and now they have just launched the Infinix Hot 10 which is priced at Rs 9,999 for 6GB + 128GB storage. By the way, this is not the only smartphone which you can buy below 10k in India, there is lots of option available.
Infinix Hot 10 does offer good specifications but it’s not the best at Rs 9,999. The phone has some goods things which could be value for money for some people but not for everyone. In this Infinix Hot 10 Review, let’s find out whether you should spend Rs 9,999 or not?
Infinix Hot 10 India Price
Infinix Hot 10 is priced at Rs 9,999 for 6GB of Ram and 128GB storage, it’s available in Obsidian Black, Amber Red, Moonlight Jade, Ocean Wave colour option. The phone is available on Flipkart IN website and it will go for sale on October 16th, 2020 at noon.

Display and Build Quality
Display Size | 6.78 inches |
Dimensions | 171.1 x 77.6 x 8.9 mm |
Display Type | HD+ LCD Panel |
Screen Refresh Rate | 60Hz refresh rate |
Resolutions | 720 x 1640 pixels resolutions |
Infinix Hot 10 has the largest display size in the budget smartphone which will be very helpful for those who watches movies, TV shows on the smartphone. Also, keep in mind, it has an LCD display with 720 x 1640 pixels resolutions that mean it won’t be good as Redmi 9 Prime.
Overall, if you use the phone outdoors then you won’t have any kind of problem, you can see the screen without any problems. The viewing angles are also good, so there is nothing to worry about display quality but this is HD+ display and this is where I feel, Infinix Hot 10 doesn’t have the best display because Redmi 9 Prime (review) is also the price at Rs 9,999 and this phone has FHD+ display with a better processor.
In short, if you compare with it’s competition then Infinix Hot 10 is not the best phone below 10.
Performance
Chipset | Mediatek Helio G70 (12 nm) |
GPU | Mali-G52 2EEMC2 |
CPU | Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.7 GHz Cortex-A55) |
OS | Android 10 based on XOS 6.0 |
We have seen MediaTek Helio G70 processor in lots of smartphones and it’s the well-tested chipset. It will give the best possible performance but if there MediaTek Helio G80 processor at the same price then why people will go with a less-power chip.
Now, that doesn’t mean Infinix Hot 10 won’t give the best performance but it won’t give perform as good as Redmi 9 Prime or RealMe Narzo 20A. You will able to play games like COD Mobile and other but after one hour of gameplay, you will see the frame drop and lags here and there.
Even after 30 min of gameplay, you will see the frame drop because MediaTek Helio G70 is old SoC and in 2020, games has more powerful. So it will be difficult to lay for log time.
Infinix Hot 10 is running on Android 10 based on XOS 6.0 which fast UI but it’s quite complicated to use. So if you are into custom OS then you won’t notice any problem but if you’re like me, then it’s not the best UI. I love to use close to stock or pure stock, I don’t like when companies added too many options which most of the people won’t even use.
Cameras
Camera (Rear) | 16 MP Primary 2 MP Depth 2 MP Macro QVGA (Low light sensor) |
Video Recording (Rear) | [email protected] |
Camera (Front) | 8MP Front Camera |
Video Recording (Front) | [email protected] |
Sad to say, Infinix Hot 10 doesn’t have the best camera. I mean you will get good images but the images you will get it won’t be well-detailed. The images turned out whites or you can say, over-saturated. If you like pop-up colours then you may like what Infinix is trying to do with Infinix Hot 10.
The phone has a single-camera setup, let’s forget that it has 2MP+2MP sensor because it just there for the showcase. It won’t give good quality images.
The phone also has the 8MP selfie shooter which is worst then I have expected. All the selfie turned whites, there is no dynamic range. It looks like Infinix doesn’t optimize the camera and that you can see on the images which I have added down below.
If you’re looking for a budget centric smartphone with a good camera then Infinix Hot 10 is not the phone you’re looking for. Don’t waste your money.
Battery and Audio Quality
Battery Size | 5,200 mAh (non-removable) |
Charging Speed | Wired charging 18W ( 10W charger will be supplied in the box.) |
Charging Port | USB-Port |
I don’t have any complaint about battery life, it gives good battery life. The phone will give about 1.5 days of battery life, in the end, it also depends on how you use the phone daily. Also, it has an HD+ LCD display which won’t use too much battery. By the way, it has 5,200 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support but 18W charger in not include in the box, you have to spend Rs 499 to get 18W fast charger.
The phone has only one bottom-firing speaker which is not that great, I would say, Infinix could have added a better speaker. Also, I have had any problem with call quality but the bottom-firing speaker is not the best at 10k.

Infinix Hot 10: Verdict
If you want an only a bigger display for media consumption and you don’t care about anything else then you can take look at Infinix Hot 10 but if you want value for money device then Infinix Hot 10 not worth buying at Rs 9,999. It doesn’t offer what people are looking for in budget segment, it’s better to skip Infinix Hot 10 and go POCO M2.
