Recently we have seen lot’s of rumours about OPPO Reno smartphone and finally, OPPO launched their new sub-brand in China and under Reno brand, OPPO launched Reno Standard Edition & 10X Optical Zoom Edition and both the device has a different specification, so let’s take a closer look at these devices
As per previous renders, both the devices have switch kind pop-up selfie camera placement or you can be called it weird pop-up selfie camera. The good thing is both the Reno smartphone has the in-display fingerprint sensor and it’s kind new because we all have seen the in-display fingerprint sensor on a flagship device but in mid-range, we don’t have many smartphones that have an in-display fingerprint sensor, first let’s talk about the Reno Standard Edition

The handset features 6.40-inches Full HD+ AMOLED display (19:5.9 aspect ratio) with resolutions of 2340 pixels by 1080, the display is protected with gorilla glass 6 and we already have seen gorilla glass 6 protection in Zenfone Max Pro 2 and it’s really good to see again in the mid-range segment. Reno Standard Edition is available in 8 GB of ram & 256 GB internal storage and you can also expand storage up to 512 GB via micro-SD card slot.
It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 soc which is built on 7 nm technology with Adreno 616 GPU inside, the device runs on the latest colour os 6.0 based on Android 9.0 (Pie). Coming to the camera department, it comes with a dual 48-megapixel primary Sony IMX586 sensor with F/1.7 aperture and 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor for portrait shots with F/2.4 aperture which is used for. On the front, it sports a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with the led flashlight (F/2.0 aperture)
Coming to the battery department, the device is packed with 3765 mAh non-removable battery with VOOC charge 3.0 support and yes it also has Type-C port.
Reno 10X Optical Zoom
Reno 10X Optical Zoom comes with a huge 6.60-inches Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 pixels by 1080, for protection OPPO used gorilla glass 6 which will help the smartphone in many ways. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 soc which is built on 7 nm technology with Adreno 640 GPU inside.
It will be available in an 8 GB of Ram & 256 GB internal storage and you can expand storage up to 512 GB via micro-SD card slot. The smartphone runs of latest colour OS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 (Pie), it has 4065 mAh non-removable battery with VOOC charge 3.0 support and yes it has type-C port
Talking about cameras, the handset comes with a triple 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 primary sensor with F/1.7 aperture, a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with F/3.0 aperture, and 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with F/2.2 aperture and yes it comes with 10X optical zoom. There is also a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with an LED flash (F/2.0 aperture).
The OPPO Reno Standard Edition price starts at 2,999 yuan (Rs 30,895) for the 6GB/128 GB storage variant and top variant priced at 3,559 yuan (Rs 37,075) for 8GB/256 GB storage variant. It will be available in Green, Pink, and Black colour options and will go on sale from 16 April 2019.
The OPPO Reno 10X Edition price starts at 3,999 yuan (Rs 41,190) for the 6GB/128 GB storage variant and top variant priced at 4,799 yuan (Rs 49.435) for 8GB/256 GB storage variant. It will be available in Green, and Black colour options. As per report company will launch Reno 5G variant next month
