Xiaomi 11i 5G Review
No, doubt, Xiaomi 11i 5G is overpriced and it doesn’t justify the Rs 24,999 price tag and it’s not worth buying. The phone does have powerful MediaTek Dimensity 920, 7 5G bands, a new design and even a good camera but it doesn’t worth the 25k price tag, it should have been launched at around 21k.
Now it’s not like, the phone is overpriced by five or six thousand, it’s about two or three thousand extra.
The cameras are also the same as Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, the only difference is the chipset. So yes, the performance is going to be better compared to Redmi Note 10 Series.

The problem is MediaTek Dimensity 920 is not optimized for most of the games and that’s the reason, you can only play BGMI at smooth and high graphics.
So even the chipset is powerful, you won’t able to take full advantage. Maybe an OTA update can fix this problem but till then you have to live with what you are out of the box.
Xiaomi 11i 5G Pros and Cons

120Hz AMOLED Display | No SD-card Slot |
1200 Nits of Brightness | Average Cameras |
MediaTek Dimensity 920 | Ads in the UI |
3.5mm Audio Jack | Overpriced |

67W Fast Charging Support | Bit Heavy |

Display Quality
The Xiaomi 11i 5G comes with a 6.67-inches 120Hz AMOLED display with a pick brightness of 1200 nits while it has a 360Hz touch sampling rate.
On the rear side, it has glass but the frame is made out of plastic. By the way, the device has a boxy design and its bit heavy smartphone, the weight is about 208 grams.
The phone does have widevine L1 support that you will be able to watch FHD+ content on OTT apps while stereo speakers will give you good sound quality.
Also, the 120Hz refresh will help a lot while playing games or even using smartphones in day to day life.

As I have said, it has 1200 nits of pick brightness which means, the device will be visible under the sunlight, the viewing angles are also good, so it will be easy to use a smartphone outdoors.
Overall, considering the price tag, Xiaomi 11i 5G does have a good display, no complaints about that.
Performance
The Xiaomi 11i 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC and runs on MIUI 12.5-based on Android 11. Xiaomi should have launched with Android 12 but this is what it is now…
I’m not a big fan of MIUI, I would rather go with colour OS.

Now, the MediaTek Dimensity 920 is a powerful processor but somehow, it’s not optimized for mobile games. You will only be able to play games smooth at a high frame rate.
The problem can be fixed with an OTA update but it depends on Xiaomi, whether they gonna go with it or not.
Other than that, there won’t be any problem while using smartphones in day to day life, it will work like butter.
Cameras
Here comes the tricky part…
The Xiaomi 11i 5G comes with a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP macro sensor while there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. The rear camera can shoot videos at [email protected] & [email protected]/60fps while the front can shoot at only [email protected]
The phone doesn’t have OIS support that means it relies on EIS.
The video footage will come out shaky but it will be useable.
Just like any other Redmi or Xiaomi phone, the camera tries to whiten the images and sometimes it tries to add bit extra red colours.
In short, the colours may pop out sometimes.
There is no doubt the cameras are good but it doesn’t worth the 25k price tag because the same image quality can be found in 20k smartphones.
Yes, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max take the same quality images and it’s priced at Rs 19,999.
Coming to 8MP ultra-wide lens, the sensor takes some good images under the good light but when it comes to low lights, it loses out on details and it adds extra noise to the images.

It also has a 2MP macro sensor and it’s added for number, so ignore if you can.
The 16MP sensor also takes a good image but it takes white image means, you will look more white than what you’re in real life. By the way, I didn’t find any issue with a dynamic range which is a good thing.
Overall for the price of Rs 24,999, the Xiaomi 11i 5G doesn’t have a good camera, it can be improved but no one should buy a smartphone on future promise.
Audio Quality
Yes, Xiaomi 11i 5G has stereo speakers, so there is nothing to worry about the audio quality.
It also has a secondary noise cancellation microphone along with carrier aggregation which will help a lot in calls.
By the way, Xiaomi has also added a 3.5mm audio jack which is another plus point.
Overall, the audio and even call quality are good, with no complaints.
Battery Life
The Xiaomi 11i 5G comes with a 5,160 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The 67W charger will take only 49 minutes to charge from 0% to 100%.
Overall, the battery will last for a day and even if you kill the battery in the day then you can also use a 67W charger which won’t even take an hour to charge from 0 to 100%.
Xiaomi 11i 5G Vs Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G
You might be confused between Xiaomi 11i 5G and Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G, so let’s tell you the difference between these two smartphones.
The only difference is battery and charging support,
The Xiaomi 11i 5G has a 5,160 mAh battery with 67W fast charging support while Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G comes with a 4,500 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
The rest of the specifications are the same as Xiaomi 11i 5G.
So if you want that 120W charger then you can spend extra two thousand and get Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge 5G.
By the way, if you ask me, there is no need to spend d extra 2k for a 120W charger, 67W charger speed is good enough but still, if you want a 120W charging speed then you have the option.
