Vivo T1 5G Review with Pros and Cons – Compromises
Vivo use to launch smartphones at an expensive price but things are charging and we’re seeing Vivo is being more aggressive at the same time, cutting out main features.
Vivo T1 5G could have been the best smartphone under Rs 20,000 but that didn’t happen because Vivo has cut don’t a lot of features and that’s the reason why Vivo T1 5G price starts from Rs 15,990 in India and not 20k.
4GB Ram + 128GB storage: Rs 15,990
6GB Ram + 128GB storage: Rs 16,990
8GB Ram + 128GB storage: Rs 19,990
The device is available in Starlight Black and Rainbow Fantasy colors and you can buy Vivo T1 5G from Flipkart and Vivo.com/in.

Vivo T1 5G Review
Vivo T1 5G is not for everyone and it also doesn’t justify the Rs 15,990 price tag, in short, it’s not worth buying a smartphone because we have better phones available under 20k in India like Moto G71 5G, Infinix Zero 5G, and even Moto G51 5G.
It’s not like, Vivo T1 5G is a bad smartphone but the thing is, we have better options, so it doesn’t make any sense to pay 16k for an average smartphone.

Still, if you wanted to buy only a Vivo-branded smartphone then you will be more than happy with Vivo T1 5G.

Display Quality
The Vivo T1 5G comes with a 6.58-inches FHD+ 120Hz LCD display with a pick brightness of 460 nits and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also supports Widevine L1 support which means you will be able to watch FHD+ content on OTT apps.
Now, this is an LCD panel which means, it can’t have an in-display fingerprint sensor and that’s why Vivo has added the sensor on the right side.

The fingerprint sensor is fast and accurate, no issues there, its works like a normal side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The display is also bright enough to use outdoors.
Overall, I feel, that Vivo should have gone with an AMOLED panel rather than LCD, even 60Hz AMOLED would have been a better option.
So if you’re okay with an LCD display then this could be a good option otherwise, do take look recently launched Motorola G71 5G.
Performance
We have seen Snapdragon 695 SoC in the recently launched Moto G71 5G and the same has been added to Vivo T1 5G too.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC is a powerful processor and it can handle almost every single mobile game without any problems.
The naming of a processor can be confusing but don’t worry, the Snapdragon 695 SoC is a little bit more powerful than Snapdragon 750G.
The Vivo T1 5G runs on Fun Touch OS 12 based on Android 11, still, no Android 12 but actually it will get an Android 12 update but when?, only Vivo can tell.
It also has 5G support and it has two 5G bands including n77 and n78.
Related: Best Gaming Smartphones Under Rs 20,000
Now, keep in mind, Moto G71 5G has the same SoC and this phone has 13 5G bands whereas Vivo T1 5G has only 2 5G bands.
By the way, Vivo can enable more 5G bands but they need to pay extra money to Qualcomm for the license and I don’t think, Vivo will pay the extra money, so you’re stuck with only 2 5G bands.
Snapdragon 695 SoC will give better performance than Snapdragon 750G, so there won’t be any issues while playing games or even using smartphones in day-to-day life.
In short, don’t get confused by the processor’s name.
Overall, don’t worry about speed.
Cameras
This is where things get messy…
Vivo has compromised in the camera department and that’s the reason why the smartphone is priced at Rs 15,999 and not 20k.
By the way, Vivo T1 5G comes with a 50MP primary sensor + 2MP macro + 2MP depth sensor while there is a 16MP selfie shooter on the front.
Both the front and rear camera can shoot videos at [email protected] while there is no support for OIS, it relies on EIS.
Just like every single budget Vivo smartphone, the video quality is not that great, Vivo tries to boost the colors and in between, it losses out on details.
Most of the users who have already used the Vivo smartphone, this is not a big issue but those who are buying Vivo smartphone for the first time or wanted the best camera smartphone under 20k will be disappointed with Vivo T1 5G.

Budget Vivo smartphones have one USP which is the front camera, so with Vivo T1 5G, there is no need to use any filter because, by default, the image will come out with beauty mode ON, in another word, the images will come out more white.
That 50MP primary sensor is fine too, it doesn’t take a good image, it’s missed or hit. There is some issue with the dynamic range. It’s hit or miss, sometimes, the image comes out very good, and sometimes, it’s not even useable.
Vivo needs to work on the camera otherwise, this is a smartphone with a powerful processor only, cameras are just there.
Now, those 2MP+2MP sensors are added for numbers, they won’t do much, so don’t expect anything.
The way you use decoration in your home, so it can look good, the same Vivo has done with cameras.
Vivo has also added tons of filters within the stock camera app, so you can directly use the filter and post the same on social media, with no need to use third-party apps.
Overall, Vivo T1 5G has below-average cameras and one should not buy this smartphone for a camera, it’s a good smartphone for gaming only at a good price, nothing else.
Battery life
The Vivo T1 5G comes with a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The 18W charger will take about 110 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%.
Overall, the battery should last for the day because of the processor but in the end, it depends on you, how you use your smartphone every day.
Now, I would have loved to 30W charging speed but here also, Vivo did cost-cutting.
Audio Quality
The Vivo T1 5G doesn’t have stereo speakers, the single bottom speaker does work but again, it is a single speaker.
It also has a secondary noise cancellation microphone. Vivo T1 5G doesn’t have carrier aggregation support, don’t know why but this is what it is.
As this is a budget smartphone, Vivo has added a 3.5mm audio jack.
Overall, the sound quality is good and there are no issues with call quality too.
